+Patrick Roll for real. My dad isn't into hip hop at all but he fucks with this album for the beats he says it reminds him of all the 70s gangster movies
Kinda like Madvillainy, another Madlib collab with MF DOOM. I still put this album over that but Madvillainy is definitely worth a listen if you've never heard it before if only for Madlib's amazing production
This song is genius. The previous song is "High", on which Freddie gets high af with Danny Brown, so he gets hungry and starts thinking bout eating chicken wings with all the fries they can give him on Harolds. Genius album back to back.
+Xavi R then after getting "high" and going to "harolds" he thought about how the food was "bomb" but then he had to take a trip to "shitsville" to let it out but then he had to go back to "thuggin" cuz he a real nigga

It's weird... This song is really fucking close to being genius. He really has a true connection with music, and I'm glad we all get to live in a time where we can listen to it. Keep doing what you do Fredrick.

I still rap the chorus whenever I eat wings it's almost like a ritual, crazy how Freddie made a smooth ass chorus talking about chicken wings. With the bread stuck to the bottom like come on maaaaaan

GREAT ALBUM. When I first hear Freddie Gibbs I didn't think he had anything special on him, I actually thought he was just like any average rapper making Trap music until I hear this album. WOW! From beginning to end I love this album. I didn't think that a great album was going to come out in a while since Good Kid M.A.A.D City. Gibbs has a really good flow, intricate lyrics and a special way of telling a story. Madlib did his job producing amazing smooth and soulful beats full of samples and interludes. INSTANT CLASSIC.
I remember when this record dropped and the hip hop community lost their shit. Roc Marciano, Billy Woods, Armand Hammer, Griselda, Freddie Gibbs, Danny brown, elucid, quelle chris, Navy Blue, Earl, etc. just amazing artists with soulful lyrics. Billy woods is still my fav tho lol
Man…this brings back the early morning hotbox days in the summer in my 2006 grand am back in 2013 during the summer when my parents went to work. I would sit out there for two hours in my drive way and always started the sesh with THIS song. Damn man. I wish I knew back then I was in the good old days
If this shit dont win a grammy... But yea by far album of the year. Second, but not even close is Blu. Lets see what K.r.i.t and Kendrick has in stored for us, but as of right now...#ESGN #TheInvazion
pSmurf954 it should win a grammy but tbh grammy doesn't mean shit for hip hop i mean last time they picked macklemore's album over GKMC like grammy is not even important anymore
A masterpiece in modern hip hop, this is my all time favorite madlib beat and gibbs is one of my top 5, i can wrote a fucking bible explaining how incredible this collab is, this shit is timeless!
THIS MUSIC VIDEO IS PERFECT. literally could not have been a better visual for the track. thank you so much madlib for continuing to work with talented rappers
Harold's is a 219 classic. And a 312 classic as well. Thanks for making us happy in the 219 Area code Freddie. Hip hop album of the year with out a doubt. All the way from Hobart to Gary. Respect.
I can't believe how many fools haven't even heard Pinata yet. Easily one of the best hiphop albums of the year. I hope Gibbs and Madlib work together on the next album as well.
“Give me the two piece special , with lots of hot sauce and ... all the fries you can give me” Pops and Freddie on that reefer with the late night cravings
It's cool that Freddie Gibbs represents Gary so hard. Being from there didn't help his career, labels didn't know how to promote him. And it is like he started fully formed, he rapped as good back then as he does now, just different subject matter and production and packaging and beats and styling and stuff. Take it from the man.
This song is relatable on a nostalgic level, he's talking about his favorite local chicken spot and I think we can all relate to that wether it be chicken mexican, chinese or whatever. Fred really is one of 🐐.

yall needa chill saying freddie's the new 2pac, Freddie Gibbs is Freddie Gibbs
Lucid437 let em know
Now that you mention it, their FLOWS(not lyrics) are very similar, sort of like 50, on "In the club".
LucidBeats Gibbs doesn't even raise his tone of voice like Pac does. Whoever said Freddie is the new Pac is dumb AF and should stop listening to Pac.
