A gentleman indeed.

Watching Billy Crystal host the Oscars every year are some of the happiest memories of my childhood and teenage years. I had the pleasure of seeing 700 Sundays in Sydney about 15 years ago and got to meet Billy after the show. As soon as he started to speak to me, I just burst into tears. Also, Billy’s Touching Play, was a dedication to his Beloved, and Loving, Mom, his Caring, Loving, and Supportive older, brothers, Family, friends, Loved ones, and Wonderful CHARACTERS, while he was growing up!!
My Mom also met Shirley Temple Black while working in a Hospital in LA. She met her in the pediatric section. Shirley was visiting the kids there. My Mom was a Head Nurse (and or just a Nurse) for 43 years.

I agree on Jimmy's talent. But I think in this case he interrupted Billy sharing an emotional story about the Carson call. Jimmy jumps in for the joke, kills the moment and they move on. I woulda liked Billy to finish that thought.

Normally people interrupt him I mean at an alarming rate and he is right in the middle of coming back with one of his witty statements and it never seems to bother him he just lets them interrupt him and moves on to the next comment. Americans are always debating the funniest person in their country. Of course, it depends on your humour, but as someone not from the US I just adore Billy Crystal. He never fails to make me lol. I also love the fact his humour, even with an edge to it, is always kind.
