What about in situations of abuse where one parent has to leave without the abuser knowing? What to tell the kids about why you took them without being negative??

Reality is that the Children will always have Negative perception towards the leaving parent.

Not in all cases. All kids and marriages are different.

Should it be the one choosing to leave the marriage to tell, or the one leaving the house? I don't want the divorce, but might need to be the one that moves out. This breaks my heart, but it feels like insisting on staying in the house might not be a good thing to do.

"I'm not going to answer your questions for you" is great advice for when one spouse isn't showing up properly for it.

There’s no good way- why would you think the spouse who is leaving could be this kind and able to put the kids first? They wouldn’t be leaving if that were true

Agree. Divorcing is a shame and is a failure of the spouses, families, and society. There will never be a good way for this, as it should never happen.

@@Naan795 Absolutely. You can’t force somebody to stay and it only takes one person to ruin the relationship and the family. There is somebody who’s being selfish

You're generalizing. Not all situations are the same. Every situation is unique.
