No contact is NOT manipulation, it is respecting the wishes of the dumper in a mature way. No contact is a mindset, not a weapon. No contact is for YOU to give yourself the time to work on being the best person you can be. It is a win-win situation, you are not attached to an outcome and if your ex comes back they see a better person if they don't you will meet a better person.
The only reason they say to not use no contact is because is gives off the attitude of I don't care if they leave me or not someone better will come along. Just as you said. So it's really not valuing the relationship overall. It's just whatever. That's acting like teenagers.

Sounds like he left to someone else. No contact no answer can only be another person. There is always a reason he would have said it.
