I’m Paraguayan (guarani Indian) and adopted when I was a month old so I don’t know anything about my country.. this video made me very happy , thank you
"Vos" in Spanish (or Castilian) is short for "Vosotros" (you plural), but used when talking to a single person who represent an institution, like a king, the pope, etc., as they refer themselves as "we"... (we, pope Leo XIII commands... etc). Example: Majestad! los sevillanos han perdido la confianza en VOS y vuestro ejército (Your Majesty, you and your army had lost the trust (support) of the people of Seville *** BUT, in Paraguay, for some reason they use "VOS" for "You" (singular and plural) and they mix it with Guarani (another language)... "A vos ko te dije, nde!" (I told you so)... "vos" and "nde", both mean "YOU" (one in Spanish, the other, in Guarani.
My mom is 100% Paraguayan and my dad is 100% Dominican and I love the accent of a Paraguayan person my cousins from my moms side have the Paraguayan accent obviously lol and I just really wanna learn how to be fluent in Spanish 😊
Paraguay what an interesting country, the percentage of Amerindians is one of the lowest in South America, even though the most spoken language in the country is the Guaraní.
