Nice one! The 680/120 is a great combo in waves, not all what I was expecting, solid feel, not twitchy, fast. Ive not put my 205 or 180 on since, It kinda makes them obsolete for my needs ....cheers for the vid 👍

awesome, I'm so stoked to try it! I figured the 680 and new wing alone would potentially be a challenge, and I have a rule I try not to change more than 2 things from sesh to sesh. so I'm sure I would have been fine, I just didn't want my session to suffer in case it wasn't. now you got me double stoked! you use a shim? I used 2 shims for everything including the 140 until recently, but just stopped shimming the 140 so I figure I'd start with no shims on the 120 and take it from there.

Same here only change one at a time😂 no shim at the moment but might try a red next see how it goes. I think you’ll really like it 🤙

Hey, Good morning from Alaska.. Can't wait for your 120 review..
I am about ready to buy one.. just to see if i like it.. - love the 180 and haven't tried the 140 yet.. When do you think you will have a chance to ride and test it? PS strongly advised against 120 my amigo Juan (Hey Juan!) :) Also PS checked out your Crooked Surf link and subbed there.. With the weather here, and where you are.. the right gear is critical!

what's up bud! soooo stoked to try that 120!!
the 140 became my fav and I really haven't used the 180 since I got the 140, although I'm starting to put the 180 on for some of the DW paddle and surf stuff I'm doing. so I'm hoping the 120 is amazing, although I'm not sure I needed anything smaller than the 140 but sometimes I'm a sucker for new and shiny things. I hope to ride it over the next few sessions, I'll continue to talk about it as I do.
thanks for watching! I wish you an awesome 2025 up there in Alaska! stay warm!!

Another awesome video! Just wondering what board straps you use? I where booties and found i was getting stuck in the Armstrong straps. Happy new year

sup bud! I'm currently using FOne's V straps. I've tried at least 5 different brands of V straps and prefer the FOne over all the others, and they've held up the best as well. thanks for the comment, I wish you an awesome 2025!!

I have several booties and most like to stick in foot straps, even when I adjust the strap size. Then I visited my daughter in Oregon and planned to wing 4 days at the Gorge on Columbia River. Apparently I forgot my favorite booties and went without on day one. It was early April and I couldn’t do another session without so immediately after day 1 I went to Big Winds and got some different O’Neil surf booties(I believe they’re Ninja booties split toe). Big difference is hard rubber sole instead of soft grippy and they slide off easier during a fall. They’re the only booties I wing with now and they’re 3m, which works well for me.

    What gloves are you using?

sup bud! I'm using NP Surf Neoprene Seamless Gloves, 1.5mm thick. they are very thin and your hands get cold when the temps get closer to freezing (starting under 40F). on this day, when the air was over 50F and the water was 45F, my hands were totally fine. my friend Joe wasn't even using gloves that day. I try to keep all gloves 2mm or less, I have a few random thick pairs of mitts but rarely use them. I'd rather have cold hands than tired forearms!
thanks bud, I wish you an awesome 2025!!
