I’m amazed by your quality, your flow , your style. You’re probably one of the best surfers in the northern beaches, and with all that you don’t get angry at other surfers that drop in or don’t duck dive. There’s only one thing that doesn’t work in this video: what is that moustache? Why not get a mullet for 100 K subs, at this point 😂
Hahaha man I love this comment!! First off, I really appreciate it but I know at least 100 better surfers than me on the beaches. Means a lot though 🙏🏽 And I definitely get frustrated with other surfers at times but 99% of the time it’s not intentional so there’s no reason to get mad! I was waiting for someone to say it… and in surprised you even saw it because my lack of moustache hair is hilarious! Before TH-cam days, I used to try grow it out every November just to see what it would look like at the end of the month… because I shave every 3-5 days but I didn’t want to showcase that on TH-cam the past few years 😂 Anyway I gave it another crack, started a week or so late in Nov but left it alone & yep still the same pre-pubescent stache hahaha! So don’t worry, you won’t be seeing that again. Unless a miracle happens from the hair gods! Mullet sounds amazing! Watch heaps of youtube videos about learning to surf. Kale Brock & Barefoot Surf are the best! 2. Get a good surfboard to learn & transition on - probably an 8ft performance foamy 3. Try surf as much as humanly possible 4. Catch as many waves as you can, the more waves = more experience 5. Consider coaching or lessons when starting out to learn the fundamentals Hope this helps!! Definitely don’t get a shortboard! The most important thing as a beginner is to catch as many waves as possible & that the board is more stable. I’d go with a mid-length as the smallest but even better a big foamy 7-8ft with slight manoeuvrability

Great question! When you’re catching most waves you paddle for & averaging about 10+ waves per hour (when it’s consistent)

What board do you recommend for beginners I kind of want a short board and my budget is like 250 dollars😅
Definitely don’t get a shortboard! The most important thing as a beginner is to catch as many waves as possible & that the board is more stable. I’d go with a mid-length as the smallest but even better a big foamy 7-8ft with slight manoeuvrability
