This was also my first Duathlon, and much like your experience, the bike section killed me. Cramp ended my race. but lesson learnt about electrolytes and the need for proper fluid intake pre race and during the race. Keep the great content coming.
Was a lot of fun - I also would never entertain a triathlon because I suck at swimming so it’s a happy in between where I can at least do 50% of the disciplines competently 😂
Great video👏 As a long time duathlete I can’t believe you pitched up, hired a bike and got stuck in to a standard distance off road Duathlon😮. Well done for a great effort. Doing any more duathlons? Sub’d in case you do😉🤓
That's a hell of a cramp, makes you wince just looking at it. Happy New Year to you both.
You’re telling me 😂 thanks mate and to you too!

Great to challenge yourself like this Andrew! Very inspiring. Have a great Christmas!! From Melbourne, Australia
Very insightful, thank you for sharing your experience!
Is there a Lily Hybrid Training update to come?
I’ve always been interested in doing duathlons-mostly because the swim leg in my triathlon races SUCK. Keep up the good work bro

Good effort but I’m not going to lie, seeing the real Sherwood Forest was the highlight for me. I loved Robin Hood as a kid.
Once you remember to hydrate properly you will be fine
Good stuff, shame to have missed you as I was there doing the sprint as well as a first duathlon! Pleased that I only did the sprint watching this😂
No way! Well I hope you had fun mate - sounds like a much more sensible way to do it 🤦🏻
Beautiful setting! Trail runs and cycling are mucH better than on the road! How did your legs feel the next morning when you woke up? Happy Holidays!
For sure! That’s the only reason I entered. Legs weren’t too bad actually once I’d refuelled and rehydrated, I was back squatting the next day 👍🏼
Where's the top from mate?
It’s a brand called Kathmandu - bought it in New Zealand so not sure if they’re available in Europe/North America
They don't give you medal 🥇?
