That's literally a life-saver video! I just started crocheting 2 months ago and I don't have any yarning needle for the moment. I try to weave in the ends with my hook, but never saw somebody do it so maybe I really had to buy a needle. I searched for videos about weaving with a hook. I found none, until today! This kind of stopped me from doing crochet since I thought I needed a yarning needle to end a project, otherwise it won't do. So, thank you a lot! ❤
Oh I’m so glad you found my video! Welcome to the world of crochet ❤️ I love using my crochet hook to weave in my ends - it’s nice being able to use tools that we already have!
this is a total life saver! i just made a cardigan with a bunch of ends to weave in, and i have to have it done by tomorrow. i cant find my needle and i was totally freaking out but then i found this! tysm! ❤️
I love using a slightly smaller crochet hook to pull my ends thru instead of threading and weaving like most people tell you. I am glad you have recommended this for everyone v
That’s amazing how you’re at this stage now! Aww and thanks for your support - that’s so sweet how your boy chose Crush! It will be a beautiful color combo! Enjoy finishing up your first blanket and making your second one!
Hi! Thank you for such a wonderful video! I was wondering if you had any advice on weaving in the ends? Very much so a beginner and I’m not positive how to go about it. Thank you in advance :)
I’m glad you found this helpful! I use the techniques shown in this video: I like to crochet over my ends in one direction, and then I weave them in the opposite direction! If the yarn contains some wool, I also like to felt the yarn in place to prevent the ends from popping out. I have a separate video showing this technique if you want to check it out!
Do you have any advice?Whenever I make my granny squares it always turns out wobbly and never a perfect straight square.I’ve followed multiple tutorials and it NEVER works!much love Ami!
Could it be your tension? With more practice, your tension can get more consistent so the stitches will all be a similar height. You can block your granny squares to give them straight edges too 😊
I’ve heard that colors will restock in mid-July! You can also use the website called “yarnsub” as they give recommendations and yarn substitution ideas!
You can find the crochet pattern on my blog or in my Etsy shop! The kit can be purchased through the Lion Brand Yarn website - it comes with all the yarn you need (choose your own color combos) and a copy of the digital pattern!
@@AllAboutAmiBlog I’m so happy Joann has this yarn and I don’t have to order it. I was nervous the color would look good but it’s beautiful in this color. I’m so happy. Crochet is my medicine.
I weave my ends in all directions multiple times. Perhaps its OCD, but there is no chance my work will ever unravel, not even by busy toddler hands. (It also mean I one could never repurpose my projects, not at least losing a large chunk of yarn.)
Once you slip stitch to close the round, you can fasten off! You can either weave in that end right away or weave that end in after the squares have been seamed together 🧶
The Salt color is always out of stock online and local shops never have enough of the Hue and Me main color dye lots in stock. So frusturating I cant get the right yarn for this kit.
Yes this blanket has been very popular, so the required colors have been selling out quickly. About two weeks ago, Agave came back in stock and all three colors that I used were available! However as you said, Salt just went out of stock and is supposed to restock in July. I try to post updates about when the colors are back in stock through my stories to alert people so they can jump on it right away when all the colors are available!
When you are crocheting the granny square, the right side will always be facing you since you’re working in joined rounds! The wrong side is bumpier. If you look at the very last round, you should see “V’s” on the outer edge of the right side!
Beautiful blanket. You made that look effortless. Thanks
Thank you so much, Vonnie!!!

Thank you so much 🩷
Thank you for suggesting a smaller size crochet hook to weave the yarn tails. 🍄🍄
I’m so glad you found that helpful! 😊

Ty Ty Ty really wish I had seen this *before* starting a granny square blanket! This is so much faster
You’re very welcome! You can try this on your next project 👍🏻
Thank you! It never occurred to me to do this with a hook!
You’re very welcome! It’s so nice not needing to thread the yarn needle every time you weave in an end :)
Thank you for sharing your good ideas ! 🌼🌼🌼

Great idea! Thank you ❤
You’re very welcome 🩷
Yes! I do this too! It saves SO MUCH TIME!!
That’s so awesome how you do this too!!! It does save a lot of time 🙌🏻
I like to crochet them in too!! Smart idea to sew em the opposite way!
Thanks so much, Sarah! That's great how you like to crochet them in too! Yeah, weaving them in the opposite way gives that extra bit of security!

I love using the crochet hook to pull the ends through - so glad to know others are doing it too 👍🏻
What a detailed example of how to keep this square straight!

I do the same but with a tapestry needle. I never thought of using the hook. Thank you.
You’re welcome! It’s nice when you use a hook since you don’t need to thread the needle each time ☺️

Please i want a video on how you connect the squares
I have a short video clip showing how I whip stitched the granny squares together in the TH-cam video on my channel 🧶
What brand of yarn do you use? LOVE IT!!
Thank you! This is “Hue + Me” yarn 🧶🩷

@@AllAboutAmiBlog You're welcome
I hate crochet needles so that's what I do every time. My favourite method
That’s awesome!
I STARTED THIS BLANKET! IVE MADE 18 FLOWERS/40 I CANT WAIT TO SHOW YOU
That’s such amazing progress! Great work! I can’t wait to see your blanket, Elizabeth!
I am so glad ur not one of those ppl who leave a really long tail Ang end up wasting it after weaving them in
Yeah I find that this length works well for ends☺️👍🏻

Hue and me is out of the roses water colour. What’s an alternative brand or what do I look for that’s similar?
I’ve heard that colors will restock in mid-July! You can also use the website called “yarnsub” as they give recommendations and yarn substitution ideas!
Can you tell us where you ordered the pattern, or kit from ? Thanks.

If that color is rose water that’s the pink I chose for my second blanket.
Yes that’s Rose Water in this video!!! It’s such a gorgeous pink - you’ll love it!

That’s great how you’re so meticulous in weaving in your ends so there is no chance of your work unraveling!
How do you weave the yarn tail from the top of the square? Do you sew it in when you are sewing the blanket together?
Yes I like to crochet over and then weave in that final yarn tail when I’m doing the seaming!
What yarn are you using?
This is Hue + Me yarn by Lion Brand (bulky level 5)! 🧶
Will it come out if I don’t tie it in a knot?
I think as long as you’ve weaved it in enough (and gone in multiple directions), it shouldn’t come out!
What about the thickness of this thread?
This yarn is a bulky level 5 yarn!
How do you close the last round?
Once you slip stitch to close the round, you can fasten off! You can either weave in that end right away or weave that end in after the squares have been seamed together 🧶
The Salt color is always out of stock online and local shops never have enough of the Hue and Me main color dye lots in stock. So frusturating I cant get the right yarn for this kit.

Hii! What is the size of the yarn you're using in this video?
I am using bulky level 5 yarn called “Hue + Me” in this video!
@@AllAboutAmiBlog thank you so much! And this is very pretty

❤️
how do you tell the right side from the wrong side?

Así lo hago
