    Hi Hon, wondering if this is still working for you? I noticed you were on RA 1.7.7 when you made this. I have the current RA32 (1.7.8) and it is not working for me. I manually installed the test core that you linked to. There doesn't seem to be any association of the core with zip files because when I load content and browse to roms folder it shows nothing even though all my rom zips are there. If I try to load the core and then load content with current core and browse to my roms folder, same thing...doesn't "recognize" zips. Maybe I missed a step but I double checked.
    Thanks...Piper

      Still working as I reverted back to 1.7.7!
      1.7.8 as you know switches to 32 or 64 bit depending on what is native to the device. RA64 is missing a lot of cores so is of no use to me. 1.7.8 32bit (aka ra32.apk) didn't work with Hyperspin from my limited testing, another experienced HS forum member confirmed it didn't work for him either. So I will stick it out with 1.7.7 until the issues are resolved, 1.7.8 is a relatively new release so we have to be patient

    I'm trying this system tonight! I bet that although this might not be the most difficult one, at least it will still be one of the most difficult old systems to emulate. 😅 Gotta brace myself for the black screen and freezes.. 😁

      I only had success with the "alpha test core" NOT the official core we can download in RA. This "alpha core" only works for 32bit NOT 64bit versions of RetroArch. I use RetroArch_RA32 on my Shield TV and Phone

      @@Honosuseri I have my folders ready 😄 . And Yes, I am also going with android emulation. I use the 32 bit RA installed as well. Just not yet brave enough to try it out. It could really be a pain in the ass when configuring these. This is one of the very few systems I have yet left to try. 😁

      If you're using Retroarch 1.7.8 it won't work. I've reverted back to 1.7.7 32bit and installed the .so file manually, it's working on my Shield TV. I have to ignore prompts from google play to update Retroarch on my phone and STV.

    Hi friend, I'm using Retroarch on linux and I was able to make Daphne run, but it is muted without sound, is there any correct directory or configuration for Daphne to read the .ogg audio files?

    • @Honosuseri
      @Honosuseri  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can see my directories in the video Marcelo. The ogg files live with the m2v files, each game has it's own folder. The Frame File folder has the txt files, one for each game and you state the directory for each game for it to locate the game files.
      I'd love to try and help you out with Linux but currently I'm busy, testing Lightgun games in VR with EMUVR which uses Retroarch 1.7.5 in the background. I wish you luck with it, let me know how you get on

      I should add I'm using a test core for Android in this video NOT the official core from the RA buildbot. On PC I use the official Daphne emulator and the Singe version, I don't use Retroarch. Maybe the audio issues are to do with the core itself

      @@marcelosofth Sadly no my free time is limited. I already have a project on the go for the Commodore Amiga, getting that sorted for Hyperspin on PC and then eventually Android.
      I've taken on testing light gun games (mame, nes, snes, megadrive, mastersystem, Saturn, Dreamcast and Playstation) in VR using EMUVR too. EMUVR uses Retroarch 1.7.5, so I will eventually test the official Daphne core and see if those games could be played in EMUVR

      Went through my old backups, not sure if this is the same alpha test core used in the video. I've stopped doing emulation on Android so I've not tested it, I've "wasted" enough time looking for this .so file. Remember you have to use the 32bit version of Retroarch not the version from the Google Play Store (most likely 64bit). You're welcome to try it, report back if it works and I'll add the link to the description of the video.

      @@HonosuseriI read on Reddit that it still works with the 32 version and they are giving you credit. Two quick questions. When you move the txt files to the firmware folder, do you delete them from their original folder? The path that appears on the firmware folder text file, do you write that manually or how does it appear? Mine still shows a dot. Lastly, how do you start games that have multiple rom zip files from retroarch?

    • @Honosuseri
      @Honosuseri  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The "dot" in the framefile is to say that all the files listed in it are also in the same directory (i.e folder). Some people might have downloaded files and they were pointed to a C drive for a windows setup for example.
      I used to use Hyperspin as a frontend on Android. It would only recognise certain zip files named in it's database and would then launch the games with retroarch we chose. As I said I gave up on it ages ago because of Google's changes to the OS. I did modify Hyperspin to use the 32bit version of Retroarch but since I got a Steam Deck I do most of my emulation with that now and the Batocera OS.
