The EJ& E lead loco is very nice Red, nice combo with CN. Waterloo looks a nice place lots of greenery & nice houses. See a lot with the drone Red! Not often we get to see yards ftom the air truly get a sense of just how big they are & have to be to accommodate the huge trains. Thanks Red have a great week. ❤🥰👍
Hello Red, that's an interesting long freight train with lots of tank cars and the design by CN HERITAGE EJ&E UNIT. The IOWA NORTHERN freight train with the slug is very nice and there was also a locomotive unit with slugs in the yard. Your drone flight is great again. Thanks for showing and have a nice week, best regards Wolfgang
Thanks for the video today, Red! I really enjoyed seeing the heritage unit and the rail yard. I forgot what the traction motor units are called, but I'd never seen one before discovering your channel. To see so many in the yard was nothing short of fabulous! You have some of the best videos and dogs on the web! Thanks again! 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤
Nice catch of the Canadian National's Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railroad Heritage Unit on the point of train #L570 as it pulled into the Canadian National rail yard in Waterloo, Iowa on 20 June 2024, Red! I have not seen that unit in person. I did see the Grand Truck Western Heritage unit at the south end of Markham Yard along Harwood Avenue. The Iowa Northern Railroad train that you caught on 19 June 2024 entering Bryant Yard in Waterloo, Iowa had many loaded tank cars in the consist. The drone footage of both trains was wonderful.(30 June 2024 at 1749)
Great video. Seems like the first train wasn't blowing horn at intersections unless you were too far away to pick it up. Once I saw those pidgions, I panicked, lol. I try to fly higher and use zoom
Flood Waters heading down Missouri River from Minnesota and Mississippi River from Iowa will Converge in St. Louis, MO, in Mississippi River over next 2-3 days. 🙏
Very cool! Out of curiosity, with access to your drone, have you done any custom requested photography? Say for a model railroad backdrop? Thanks in advance!
Cool views! I sent you a message under the flood video about the possibility of 4014 Big Boy coming through Montour Iowa and Rochelle Illinois sometime next week. Dont know if its true or just a rumor............
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 they were putting 4014 going through Rochelle around July 9th, providing all the flooding issues cooperate, but as we all know, Mother Nature does what she darn well pleases!
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 i just found an update on 4014, it is on the western leg of its trip currently, and is scheduled to be starting the eastern leg out of Cheyenne on August 29th, with stops in the Chicago Metro in early September. I would imagine that going through Rochelle at some point, it should also be going through Montour, i got my info from Google, and i hope theyre right.
I wonder what happens to Bryant yard after the CN takeover? Looks like IN does have an engine shop there, too. Looks like lots of jobs are in danger. Great video, Red, thanks for sharing 🇺🇸👍💯
Thanks Aranea! Hopefully the CN utilizes the Bryant yard. Best case scenario they keep the IANR guys where they're at and they could train new CN guys.
That was a good mixed manifest the EJ&E was leading, Red. Great catch! 😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤
Nice job catching those trains red Iowa train videos keep it up, please and be safe while railfanning out there please
Thanks Sebastian!

You're welcome Carol! Railyards are big, especially the UP Bailey yard👍

Hey Wolfgang, you're welcome! Iowa Northern only has a few more months before the CN takes them over.

You're welcome Gary! Those are called slugs.
@redsiowatrainvideos6645 I actually remembered that after I sent you the comment. Thanks for the reply, anyway, Red! 😃😃😃🤎🤎🤎
Thanks again Red……the sounds are as good as the sights 🤠
You're welcome Jeffrey!
Your semaphore signal is so cool!
Thanks Jim!

Thanks Thomas! I saw the GT down on the UP line about a year ago. Had just enough time to catch that EJ&E unit👍

Thanks David S! That Iowa Northern yard is always terrible for pigeons.
Nice drone views of the EJ&E heritage unit and the green “formerly a mystery” car!
Video of the EJ&E unit rolling east from Sioux City early in the morning on June 19 posted on Tykell Truitt’s channel.
Nice catches!

Thanks Riss! I've done some roof shots and real estate pictures but no back drop jobs. That's a good idea 👍
Is that a No train horn zone in Waterloo? They didn't blow the horn. Great video Red.
Thanks Rob! It's all horns around there. I wasn't at a crossing on that Iowa Northern train.
👍🏼❤️

That would be cool(even though I can't stand the up)!
Thanks Paul! Last time I looked the Big Boy was just touring West out of Cheyenne. That would be great though.

I still love that old signal you’ve got. Where’d you get it and the bell?
Thanks Theodore! Got the semaphore from my Uncle and bought the bell off of an old CNW mechanic.
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 well that’s neat! Keep the IANR content coming! Long live IANR!
