This might be one of the most inventive GT4 challenge runs I've ever seen, and definitely completed in a very inventive way. I knew what was going to happen the second you put weight reduction on a Kei car... still, entertaining as hell to watch. Great video mate!
Happy you enjoyed it. Yep that's the problem when I plan things out too much. Figured I could afford to lose the weight but as soon as my next cars weight didn't line up, my plan went right out the window.

Its amazes me how much adding a challenge to the playthrough increases my motivation to play the game. Happy that your enjoying them as well :)
My immediate thought was:
Pickup and Lightweight car cup need to be planned for. Those will determine so much about a challenge like this.
Yep those were the 2 cars I had to build this whole run around. The worst part was trying to come back from using a Kei car
that first Mitsubishi always looked sporty enough for me that i was surprised it's 1700+ kilos 😂
It was the reason I got the idea for this challenge. I was looking at cars and got so amazed that it weighed more than a truck.
A proper GT mode would of been awesome in GT PSP

This is a brilliant Idea. Would probably add that each car must be 100kg heavier per swap so the weight really gets up there.
That would be all kinds of hell to try get through the GTWC
@@JaK_nz true, perhaps that is a rule. But i don't think you need to do that if you had to pick a truck that will force you to have a very heavy car for GTWC

This challenge presents the kind of cerebral strats I’d be scared to even try thinking of. Clearly there is a perfect order of cars for this but if you get rid of trying to re roll days to get them, it gets crazy.

The Formula Gran Turismo is absolutely important choice for GT WORLD CUP CHAMPIONSHIP since it has 550kg only.

Don't know if you'll see this, but another fun challenge is to beat the game using cars only under 4000 mm. Currently struggling with the World Championship, but hey, might be worth a shot

@@JaK_nz no TVR can do it. The Griffith can get 1st in the Circuit de LA Sarthe, but only grabs 4th for me. Not even the almighty Honda City comes close. Only car I can think of at this point is the Toyota 7 as I've tried every non race car and did get 3rd with the Elise Sport 99, but still couldn't take the win (lots and lots of "accidents" don't even help). Good luck if you decide for road cars, my dude
Yeah Toyota 7 and the Gillet were my backup options but I really would like to do it with road cars. I can't think of anything better than a TVR unfortunately so I may be out of luck. Thanks for you info

On the past few days I was watching a video about gt psp and was thinking, if people managed to make mods to gt4 that already change so much on the game, I hope to see the psp cars being ported to gt4 at some point (or gt4 gt mode being ported to gt psp, I could see that happening as well)
Knew there would be a gto, propper weapon even at full weight
I had no idea it could have that much power added to it.

Going from light to heavier would be even more of a challenge as your last car would need to be 1700kg or higher. Sounds like my kind of struggle!

Do you think a challenge where you have to finish each race or series with a bigger gap to second compared to the previous race would be possible? Ie finish 0.1 sec ahead, then win 0.2, then 0.3, etc. i could see it having some close calls with finishes, as if you go too fast, you have to make the next race/series far more higher, or if you mess up and need to pass to win, you could finish with a closet time than a previous series.
You could repeat races for money or cars without penalty of the time to make it easier.
I think this could be a fun challenge to try. I would still make repeating races increase that time so you had to either choose more money / smaller gap

can you beat gran turismo 4 using only british leyland cars? if you cant then how far can you get with bl cars (for kei cars the classic mini is viable but isnt in the eu version or something but you can probably mod those cars in) 9:50 you spent probably a couple hundred grand buying/upgrading brick only for him to be worth 5.3k rip
I would love to do something with the classic mini, Maybe attempt to see how far it can be taken in a different Gran Turismo game.

the site didnt lie to you. once you actually obtain the chaparral 2d, it will have a weight of 771 kg. And you couldve gone for the peugeot 905 or the toyota 7 for the last race, both weigh under 750 if im not mistaken. but whatever

Why did you buy port polish instead of turbo 1 on the 3000GT?
I think that at the time I didn't want to waste money on a turbo that would be replaced later. Ended up having to replace it anyway so looking back, it would of been a better choice over the port polish

So it does! I guess I didn't look too hard at those cars as I assumed they all weighed to much. Could of saved myself so much hassle :(

What about u start with a fully tuned car and have to remove mods after each series till it looses
This could be an interesting challenge. I am trying to think of a car that would struggle at the Sunday cup while stock but also be strong enough to complete professional events when fully tuned.
coulda used the peugot(i think thats how its spelled) 905 instead of the vertigo
edit: you can also you the 2d as it actually DOES weight 771kg, the game lies to you, but the starting poweris god-awful, its so slow when maxed

the peugeot is also very tyre efficient so it would have been a very good option
