I'm surprised by the many dislikes. God damn, he's just expressing his experience with the pomade, and you all have to understand that it's his hair, HIS GENETICS and his own perspective of the product. I mean... I love Suavecito too, and I don't feel offended by his opinion.
I started with this pomade... and thought I liked it. However, once I started testing out other brands, I completely agree with everything you're saying here. I previously thought pomades were supposed to be dry because of this product lol.
Guys, don't hate on him or suavecito, In my opinion cam is one of the best pomade reviewers, alongside with the pomp, but I love suavecito, it's not a special product, but it's a cheap pomade that does what it has to do! Works for me, if you style it right!
I have thick, wavy hair. As soon as any moisture comes in contact with it, game over. My pomp starts to slowly split and curl up. This is why oil based pomades just do not work at all for me. Suavecito works for me because it holds right away which is what I need. I don't use a whole lot either. Just a couple fingers worth. The trick is with hair like mine is to apply it damp and blow dry it. Set it to high heat and use a curling brush to construct it. As soon as you get the overall shape down, switch the hair dryer to cold to set it. This way, you still have the volume, the hold without the lego, boxy look you're describing. The whole process doesn't take longer than a couple of minutes
it leaves your hair hard like a hair spray.. i agree it doesn't really feel like pomade ..can't really do your hair or change it any time you please.. it stays how u left it. it takes away that feeling of doing your hair anytime anywhere u want. still a good product to use depending on you hair
The only thing good about this pomade is this review explaining how bad is it. This pomade is the flagship for bad, wedge looking, pulled back pompadours. Feelings and experiences with this stuff is mutual. As always, great and fun-to-watch reviews!
Ha ha ha ! I agree and I don't like the scent. I bought it instead of Layrite firm hold but don't seem to get what I want out of it. What Pomade would you recommend for slick hair style that is waterbased
I think it depends on the style you're going for and your hair type, I just want a full slick back and I have wavy and I don't always have time to use a hair dryer so this might work for me
are water based pomades not supposed to leave that feel in your hair? The feel that suavecito has? I use it and it does make the top of my hair somewhat hard like gel and the undernear is sort as if i havent applied it well even though i did. So do most water based pomades not feel like this in your hair? or am i not applying this right?
Try out some unorthodox water bases and there are gel type water bases that don't leave the hair dry. Anything by cool grease, tremolo's, and Valentinos, just to name a few
+Cameron A Not to hate or anything but, maybe it's your hair type that makes.you hate it it might be the texture of your hair go to "The Pomp" he's a really good TH-camr and so are you and the TH-camr I just told you about has no problem with Suavecito Pomade not any other with a pomp but....yea.
It does all come down to the hair type. Oil based pomades are a nightmare for my naturally curly hair. 5 minutes in, and pomp is gone due to the moisture. I can't re-comb all day. Gel type pomades will hold my pomp right away and won't have to worry about re-combing.
I am French and my English is not very fluent. I use the pomade Suavecito for 2 years but I ever tested nothing of other one. I look for a pomade easier to apply and not too brilliant. I thought of trying Reuzel, what do you think about it? What color do you advise me? Thank you very much
I know you might not have any reason to try it, but if you add a tiny bit of Royal Crown as a top coat it won't dry out. And it holds better than Royal Crown alone.
+ItsWrxck (itsWreckz) He said he had to use it for about 3 weeks. Provided he styled his hair every single day of the week, that thing won't even last a month. I style my hair about 3-4 times a week and barely get a month out of it.
+Ghassan Bachour Let me give suggestion base on my experience as pomade user. So you want something that could hold your style and does not give a shine right? My answer is Lockhart's Heavy! Trust me, you'll love it!
+Cameron A I use a moderate hold high shine water based first then apply the Original Suavecito. The oils in the first make Suavecito softer so i can recomb it if i need to. but i totally agree with you, by itself, it sucks.
I like this pomade......but I do slick backs like you do alot and I usually need to grab water spray bottle because this stuff is so heavy and strong. Works better for shorter hair like for a crew cut or something. I love the smell of it though.
Been using this for years I love the look and how it smells especially the seasonal suavecito pomade. I have very thick natural Native/Mestizo straight hair and it works great. You can pull off the classic pachuco look with this shit.
Sauvecito is a really great product i dont understand why people hate it its not even bad at all there are some others that are way worse such as mocho de gorilla web wax or somethind like that
I agree with you on most parts. I just use it only when i have to do sports because of the hold it has. Other than that, i wouldn't use it on a casual day. lol
The ONLY water-based hair-styling product I do recommend for people to use is Groom & Clean. Because that stuff is healthy for your hair, gives it a classic shine and a light hold.
Testify bro when I used that stuff it was fine at first but then when it hardens the slightest touch I made to my hair my strands would pop out 😠 and I had to run to the nearest sink just to wet and fix my hair.Plus I can buy 3 cans of Dax for price of that crap lol
oh well... at least i figured out what you had to say about it, but im sure you have dealt with lots more prestigious pomades. suavecito in summary though is kinda cheap but i assume if you know how to work it it may work good for you. but either way your still my favorite pomade, pompadour youtuber.
Never had issues with Suavecito Pomade, at least not any of the ones you're talking about. Love using the stuff, I do like the scent. I guess it depends on your hair and how you apply it.
Hey there! I've watched some of your videos and decided to subscribe! I see you're starting to review more Indonesian pomades, that's great! If you're ever going to review another one, please review Death Pomade Hellrider, I recommend it to you as you don't like a very waxy pomade and yet still want awesome hold in your hair.
I cannot disagree with him in regard to the product being like a gel......that’s why I use it on shorter hairstyles. It works well for that. The original Suavecito pomade stays a little more maleable and is better for longer hair.
Cameron A! love your vids! I agree with your feelings on Suavecito Firm BUT have you tried/reviewed Suavecito Premium Blends? I've been using it for a few weeks and I'm pretty impressed! Your thoughts?
Fact: every time somebody on the internet expresses a negative opinion about something, 193 people simultaneously sh*t their pants and scream "HOW DARE YOU DISLIKE SOMETHING I LIKE!!!". World peace? We cant even agree to disagree on a hair product! LOL!
well, I use it, and let me tell you, it does good job with my hair, I can do a pretty descent pomp (and I say that because my hair is not that long), maybe thats your point of view, but believe me, it makes my hair look good, it does a tremendous job doing it! both of them the original and the Firme hold :)
haha "Suavecito smells like suavecito" i just tried it for the first time and i dont like it cause it reminds me of that middle school gel you spike your hair up with. any special recommendations for the wavy/thick hair types? itd be nice. im wanting something that just gets rid of the waves and brings the whole pomp forward. Thanks!
I’m usually in hurry cause I have to be at work at 6am and I’m not a morning person. This stuff takes up time for when I’m running late lol I’ve preferred using moco de gorilla since it’s faster to apply and forget about. 🍌
I still use it when I can get my hands on it but it honestly feels really bad in the hair. Like just how hard it gets isn't fun and how it leaves my hair feeling really dry. Hell I've used Murray's Superior and have gotten better results.
I recommend the oil based suavecito pomade .. gives that classic 50s look plus heterosexual men doesn’t use it that much 😂cause mostly hipsters or heterosexual men uses water based pomade ...
*I like Suavecito. There's a barber in Miami that has the logo tatted on him. If I were to guess what pomades are bad, I'll say anythin' that you could find at Walgreens, CVS, or Wal-Mart... How are the Johnny B products??*
Woah a water based pomade I feel so bad for you. This is a good product for my hair and it never dries up. You should try using a prestyler and it works perfectly
I use the original hold one, and that is MUCH BETTER than the firme hold. MUCH MUCH better. And the scent isn't as potent either. And applies a hell of a lot nicer too.
I have thick, wavy, hard to control hair and of the hundreds of dollars I've wasted on hair products I've had the most success with the original water based Suavecito. When you use the Suavecito again try combing through it 2 or 3 times and then just let it sit for 10 minutes. Only when I do that can I have maximum control. If I immediately start styling it then I can't ever make it work.
i love your reactions to the pomade! the only pomades i've used so far are suavecito firme, and layrite strong hold and i've had the same problems. it'd take me forever to style my hair the way i wanted it to. ive also used suavecito the original and it's pretty weak. hoping to get some better pomades when i have money
Well, I suggest that you try Murray's superior pomade for a starter. and your right you'd want to avoid modern day orthodox pomades like suavecito and layrite because they are basically gel . to sum it up you know your pomade is in trouble when it guarantees super strong hold but says it washes out very easy, so for a future reference try to avoid those types of pomades.👔
Andrew Nguyen try lock harts, pomps not dead, Shear Revival, O'duds, etc for some great oil based or non-drying water based pomades. Murray's really isn't great and may turn you off to oil based pomade
dudewuttheheck yeah ive been planning to try those pomades because i've been watching a lot of reviews about them. and i agree. heard that murray's is really hard to get out and apply from what i remember. probably gonna try out the non-drying water based pomades so that i can wash it out of my hair easily, but im open to oil based that feels healthy in the hair and not too dirty
I'm glad I haven't wasted my money on this stuff. You aren't the first person I've heard say that this stuff sucks. I'll stick with Lockhart's, Black and White, O'Douds, Sweet Georgia Brown, King Brown, Tres Flores, and Type 550 Extra Firm.
Well suavecito is my oh crap I'm late to work don't wanna use my good shit type of GEL Pomade because at the end of the day that's just what is is a gel pomade that washes out like gel don't get me wrong it's ok and reasonable to buy but it does dry up fast when your trying to style your hair unless your hair is damp overall I give it a 3/10 stars lol😉
Well said man lol my everyday goto is blvd nights but if I'm late for class for something and I don't have the chance to fully style my hair I'll grab some of this and run out the door!
Super late comment but I love your videos Cameron! I disagree about Suavecito, I just got some of the best roundness/forward shape with it. But I'm fully on board with that Reuzel pink. These are my two go-to's.
hahaha never thought we'd get so much negativity about a product from cam :D But I do get him. While I still, to some extent, enjoy the original, th efirm hold is just like a super super dense gel. It's actually the only water based pomade out there where I have trouble to recomb even when wet-combing.
I thought i liked this product but since i stopped i realized it sucked, i dont do pompadours, never was my style, but i still like a shiny greased look, this stuff would make my hair crunchy like gel and completely suck the life out of it
I use suavecito and really enjoy it. I like your vids cameron and im not trippin you dont like the product is alright because i like it and it works just fine
I do agree with you bro, This product got wayyyyy over hyped, honestly people like it because it's a trend.. Sadly people would always say this was a shit pomade when i used it about 4 years ago , now that its a trend all of the sudden this pomade is the best, pfft! More like the most over rated product...
Have you noticed its the same formula as layrite? these two pomades just used different scents, and if thats the case then people should treat layrite with the same respect they show suavecito, right?
First video i see that doesn't like suavecito lol i havent used it so far the only water base "pomade" i use is TresFlores. Need to buy the briliantine. Im a tomboish girl (mexican curls) & ive always used gel and hair spray and recently started to use pomade. Ponytale slick my sides and a lil loose on top slick back. Aniways funny video (x
why are all the comments made by americans have to do with mothers and racism and politics? guys it's just hair. we are all watching these videos to get fair reviews so we don't waste coin on hair products. at the end of the day gentleman we all want to go out there and look our best. let's keep a civil tongue. also i am super mixed. puerto rican and irish. i have never used suavecito but our man gives a good review. kudos on the video bro. thumbs down to the comment section
myfoodishere probably because suavecito is a more commonly used with Latinos even the pomade itself is called suavecito a Spanish word meaning soft or smooth. Firme hold the word firme in slang term used by chicanos mean fine or appealing. So as you can guess anything associated with Latinos and white or trump will always be a debate. It was all because of the stupid wall speech that's the source for the bullshit.
I absolutely love this pomade. It does nothing like the way he describes it to my hair. You may using more than you need. It doesn't leave my hair feeling like a gel at all. Really don't understand how you can hate this product so passionately and still use it. You couldn't scrounge up 12 bucks to buy your favorite?
I don't think you gave this pomade a fair review. It holds way better than gel when you put it in and I find it works best when you put it in towel dried hair and work it until it is tacky. You can mold any style with this stuff, a drop of water to restyle and it doesn't come out of your hair like gel if you reconstitute it. Its perfect for people who want the pomade work ability without the greasy feel.
WOW. Everything he says about this product I found the opposite. I'd rate the firme hold only a 7 out 10, but it's not as bad as he says. When I look at his hair I can assume he has different standards than me. His looks and speaking abilities are not impressive; making videos might not be his calling. I am sure he is a nice guy.
I Luv Suavecito Pomade Actually I'd Use It When Every Time I Go To Some Events Like Friends Reunion And Go To School The Scent Is Actually Ok My Father Even Like It But I More Like Murrays Pomade That I Use From My Friends
Hey man what do you recommend using as far as a strong holding water based pomade goes. You can look at my Instagram and check out how I like my pomps. (Dannyyy_Boyyy) I need a really strong pomade. Something other than suavecito, shiners gold psycho hold, and layrite super hold.
I'm surprised by the many dislikes. God damn, he's just expressing his experience with the pomade, and you all have to understand that it's his hair, HIS GENETICS and his own perspective of the product. I mean... I love Suavecito too, and I don't feel offended by his opinion.
Julien X I agree with you. Most people nowadays are too damn sensitive
My truck is making a sound similar to 1:51 when I start it up, should I go to a mechanic?
yes definitely
BigRedChester I've never laughed so hard at a comment before, holy shit!
BigRedChester 😂😂😂😂😂
I saw you're comment before I made it to that part but once I did I freaking died laughing haha
Wahahaha
I started with this pomade... and thought I liked it. However, once I started testing out other brands, I completely agree with everything you're saying here. I previously thought pomades were supposed to be dry because of this product lol.

The whole process doesn't take longer than a couple of minutes
Wait till water hits it lol. Suavecito is the worst pomade
I just use it as a small coat to get the smell, really enjoy it.
it leaves your hair hard like a hair spray.. i agree it doesn't really feel like pomade ..can't really do your hair or change it any time you please.. it stays how u left it. it takes away that feeling of doing your hair anytime anywhere u want. still a good product to use depending on you hair

Have u reviewed Pete and Pedro pomade?
Rafael Morales it is not worth it.

The suavecito pomade sucks if youre trying to have a classic pompadour thats why i quit using it.
It can work with the regular hold with wet hair
I am French and my English is not very fluent. I use the pomade Suavecito for 2 years but I ever tested nothing of other one. I look for a pomade easier to apply and not too brilliant. I thought of trying Reuzel, what do you think about it? What color do you advise me? Thank you very much
reuzel blue is the best
Funny because when I youse it it's perfectly fine and I love suavecito
I know you might not have any reason to try it, but if you add a tiny bit of Royal Crown as a top coat it won't dry out. And it holds better than Royal Crown alone.
what type of pomade do you use on a daily if you don't mind me asking?
I've noticed that you don't use profanity in your videos which I love dude. Keep up the good reviews man.
He complains about it but the jar was almost finished
cuz he didn't have anything else to use
+ItsWrxck (itsWreckz) He said he had to use it for about 3 weeks. Provided he styled his hair every single day of the week, that thing won't even last a month. I style my hair about 3-4 times a week and barely get a month out of it.
+Veron Bilali so he was to broke to get anything else for 3 weeks lol
LOL so what, do you guys not believe him?
He had to make it last cause he was saving his money for cheap cologne.
Well did you use suavecito for your hair in this video? Cuz it looks pretty good to me.
No haha.
+Cameron A what do you advice for someone who has thick long hair than can give a good hold but without shine? thanks !
+Ghassan Bachour Let me give suggestion base on my experience as pomade user. So you want something that could hold your style and does not give a shine right? My answer is Lockhart's Heavy! Trust me, you'll love it!
I don't like the firme hold either. The original is a lot better to style with damp hair. It's a lot lighter.
+Cameron A I use a moderate hold high shine water based first then apply the Original Suavecito. The oils in the first make Suavecito softer so i can recomb it if i need to. but i totally agree with you, by itself, it sucks.

Been using this for years I love the look and how it smells especially the seasonal suavecito pomade. I have very thick natural Native/Mestizo straight hair and it works great. You can pull off the classic pachuco look with this shit.
I like it for my sides since they tend to puff up, but I usually use goon grease or pomps not dead OG first. I like to mix it.
Testify bro when I used that stuff it was fine at first but then when it hardens the slightest touch I made to my hair my strands would pop out 😠 and I had to run to the nearest sink just to wet and fix my hair.Plus I can buy 3 cans of Dax for price of that crap lol

what is the pomade did u use on video ?
Never had issues with Suavecito Pomade, at least not any of the ones you're talking about. Love using the stuff, I do like the scent. I guess it depends on your hair and how you apply it.

This video really made my day. Thanks, Cameron!
I kinda liked it, but yeah it should be considered a gel like Johnny b gel, especially steadfast
Cameron A! love your vids! I agree with your feelings on Suavecito Firm BUT have you tried/reviewed Suavecito Premium Blends? I've been using it for a few weeks and I'm pretty impressed! Your thoughts?
Matt Mandel he'll respond within a year sadly :(
Matt Mandel his in Africa right now...
Fact: every time somebody on the internet expresses a negative opinion about something, 193 people simultaneously sh*t their pants and scream "HOW DARE YOU DISLIKE SOMETHING I LIKE!!!".
World peace? We cant even agree to disagree on a hair product! LOL!
So true
Haha ! I Love it ! I Never Liked Suavecito either even though i made a vid of it lol
well, I use it, and let me tell you, it does good job with my hair, I can do a pretty descent pomp (and I say that because my hair is not that long), maybe thats your point of view, but believe me, it makes my hair look good, it does a tremendous job doing it! both of them the original and the Firme hold :)

There are literally hundreds of options. I have wavy and thick hair. Check out some of my videos to see what I use :)
I’m usually in hurry cause I have to be at work at 6am and I’m not a morning person. This stuff takes up time for when I’m running late lol I’ve preferred using moco de gorilla since it’s faster to apply and forget about. 🍌
When I use suavecito i put on tres flores brillantine as a shine coat and it doesn't leave me hair dry.
Can i mix this with an oil based pomade?
I still use it when I can get my hands on it but it honestly feels really bad in the hair. Like just how hard it gets isn't fun and how it leaves my hair feeling really dry. Hell I've used Murray's Superior and have gotten better results.
Try suavecito oil based. It comes in a little metal tin
what better ? Suavecito Firme Hold or Reuzel PINK HEAVY HOLD?
Of course Reuzel is better. But if you want a water-based, i suggest getting Reuzel Blue.
and you have tried and this and that ? I just watched two videos of Cameron seems suavesito showed himself better.
what should I get for !y hair and beard? and I need a good comb
So which pomade do you use?
I recommend the oil based suavecito pomade .. gives that classic 50s look plus heterosexual men doesn’t use it that much 😂cause mostly hipsters or heterosexual men uses water based pomade ...
*I like Suavecito. There's a barber in Miami that has the logo tatted on him. If I were to guess what pomades are bad, I'll say anythin' that you could find at Walgreens, CVS, or Wal-Mart... How are the Johnny B products??*
I like Johnny B
Woah a water based pomade I feel so bad for you. This is a good product for my hair and it never dries up. You should try using a prestyler and it works perfectly
QUICK! PAUSE THE VIDEO! Turn your volume all the way up and go to 1:52. Does anybody else hear the voice in the background??
I use the original hold one, and that is MUCH BETTER than the firme hold. MUCH MUCH better. And the scent isn't as potent either. And applies a hell of a lot nicer too.

dudewuttheheck Murrays is a good pomade
Oh trust me Bro, If the hold is too strong you can always heat it up and soften it and then put it in your hair try it out you'll like it...

Super late comment but I love your videos Cameron! I disagree about Suavecito, I just got some of the best roundness/forward shape with it. But I'm fully on board with that Reuzel pink. These are my two go-to's.
I just ordered it my hair is damn crunchy and now I regret not using axe natural look pomade
hahaha never thought we'd get so much negativity about a product from cam :D
But I do get him. While I still, to some extent, enjoy the original, th efirm hold is just like a super super dense gel. It's actually the only water based pomade out there where I have trouble to recomb even when wet-combing.
I hated it at first, but my hair got used to it. Every set of hair is different
Oooh! So this is WHY my unfinished tub of Suavecito is left sitting in the most inner, darkest part of my bathroom cabinet. A revelation at last!
I thought i liked this product but since i stopped i realized it sucked, i dont do pompadours, never was my style, but i still like a shiny greased look, this stuff would make my hair crunchy like gel and completely suck the life out of it
what would you recommend for a strong hold but somewhat pliable for a old school slick back?
Black and white
how easy does this wash out. Also is it matte or shiny,i prefer more matte look.
High shine
+Noah Soria If you prfer a matte look it is not old school but anyway you could try star wax clay
albino squirrel semen
***** you're correct!
However , I had day old murrays in my hair and added suavecito in the morning . Much better , not crusty and a good look and hold..2cents
totaly your hair gonna feels like crispy nachos
His looks and speaking abilities are fine, don't hate on the guy just because you like Sauvecito
Your stupid asf bruh. Best pomade reviewer ever
Please do a yellow layrite review for us. Thank you Cameron
I Luv Suavecito Pomade Actually I'd Use It When Every Time I Go To Some Events Like Friends Reunion And Go To School The Scent Is Actually Ok My Father Even Like It But I More Like Murrays Pomade That I Use From My Friends
Amazing review my friend. I honesty hated this stuff and I stopped using it. It looks nice and all but it's honestly sucks.
dont get it. he hates suaveecito but he liked reuzel red...
Cause Reuzel is better
This fucking guy. Holy shit dude.
1:51 sound effects
did you ever wonder if it was your hair not the pomade?
You should do a retrospective video or review on layrite original :)
What happened to this guy?? He no longer makes vids!?
He's on a two years mission trip to Africa, he'll be back on mid September
BackOnTheMap83 is he like Mormon ?
Wouldn’t a firm hold make your hair crunchy lol
I'm live in CA and I love that pomade my go to
Try suavecito oil based since you love your oil based products
Lmao that ending was gold
Please do a review about Murray's Superior/Nu nile 😊
I typically don't like water based pomade, I actually hate em.

Sauvecito sucks a shit ton the cool design keeps a living I hate that all of the pachuco’s in my family use that dry ass pomade
Really old comment so you probably forgot about it but what would you recommend. I've heard great things about mr turtle pomade
idk but his expression and tone... seems like hes hating on suavecito, like i hate on modelo beer lmao
lolol this is my favorite review ever
i totally agree with you my friend....keep on rocking... good job as always.. my greetings from greece
i think ur using it wrong
when i use it it tugs my hair & it hurts brushing it
Are people really fighting over pomade? So someone doesn't like the product, get over it. If it works for you awesome
How can you hate the suavecito pomade
Well, I think you´ve gotta ask yourself; do you like it because it´s of actually great quality or because of the branding?
I like Suavecito original hold better. The firme feels too stiff and dry. To each their own.
