I'm so excited to find this video! I just bought a whole set and am primarily an acrylic painter but wanting to add more interest etc...to my top layers. I also love your acrylics and cold wax videos too!
Love how you convey your enthusiasm as an artist. I am such a newbie and finding experimentation hard. Tricky balance learning how to work with materials via tutorials and letting go to follow my own process.
Beautiful colors just lovely!! I signed up for Andrea’s workshop learning a lot about color temperature, values line making and composition! What’s great is that you can review areas that you want to improve on! Try it! I highly recommend it…. The workshop is very comprehensive so I am taking my time to digest it! Thank you Andrea! 🙏🏽🌠
Wonderful work as always! I'm sensitive to the fumes of oil paint and cold wax and have been experimenting with acrylics and different mediums trying to get the same effect. I'm definitely interested in the R and F pigment sticks and their medium. Do you think both emit less fumes? Thanks so much!!
They are oil paints in stick form with a little bees wax so they hold their shape… so depends what you’re sensitive to. The oils ? Solvents ? I stay clear of solvents or work with them outside whenever possible
@artistspace I believe I'm sensitive to the solvent in the cold wax, but also some of the oils used in the paint, too. I don't have space with good ventilation, unfortunately. Your videos have really inspired me and brought a lot of joy working with oil and cold wax. That is why I am now experimenting with acrylics. I will try the pigment sticks over my acrylic paintings and incorporate the R & F medium ....especially since you said it does not have a solvent! Thank you for sharing and replying!

Thanks for sharing! So full of LIGHT!🌹🌞🌹
Thank you ! Yes it’s those pink under layers that are adding to the light 😉

Thank you and keep experimenting but also don’t hesitate to take classes. It’ll really help you find your process faster and avoid wasting paint 🫶🏻
Thank you, just beautiful and very good to learn that oil can play on top of acrylic!
Yes it can and I found the pigment sticks let you stay loose and just as spontaneous as you would with your water based paint 🤗thanks for watching !
Beautiful!❤
Thanks Cindy ☺️

Thank you Denise how kind to do a call out ❤️
Was it an online workshop? Can you share the link please?
Hi! How do you prevent the paints from smudging after? For example if you were to sell and ship do you protect it with something? Thank you!
You wait for them to dry and that’s about it
how would you tune your art to have a watercolor base??
@@mell3749 i don’t happen to know. I don’t use watercolors but I assume it’s the same as any water based paint
How do they dry and stay fixed?
@@ginaiannucci you just need to wait for it to dry and it depends on the pigment color. They stay fixed without adding anything
what is the squeegee that you mentioned? these sticks are so cool! thanks for sharing
The squeegee is a kitchen bowl scraper

@@mimis289 Im using RF pigments but you can do a lot with acrylics
difference between pigment stick and oil stick or is it the same? how to clean it after use?
They are more or less the same, just different textures
