  • Taipei, Taiwan, June 3, 2024 - QNAP® Systems, Inc. (QNAP), a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, will join COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2024 (Nangang Exhibition Centre, Hall 1, Booth No. J0628) to demonstrate comprehensive IT solutions, including AI-powered file management and surveillance, high-availability solutions, myQNAPcloud One cloud storage, 25GbE solutions, Thunderbolt 4 NAS for video editing, manufacturing execution system (MES) solutions, and much more.
    "As we navigate the increasing complexities of managing exponential data growth across diverse industries, QNAP remains steadfast in its dedication to cutting-edge data management and protection,” stated Meiji Chang, Chairman of QNAP, adding “By integrating edge, network, and cloud technologies with advanced management platforms, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to delivering comprehensive solutions that prioritize reliability and effectiveness."
    Integration of AI: smart surveillance, visual analysis, and semantic search
    QNAP has streamlined video surveillance management with enhancements to QVR Pro Client. Now, users can efficiently manage QVR Face facial recognition and QVR Human people counting applications through a single, layout-flexible portal. This portal accommodates all surveillance needs across single or multiple monitors, including generic 16:9 displays and 32:9 ultra-wide screens.
    Besides QuMagie smart photo management that automatically categorizes albums by people, things, and places thanks to AI-powered image recognition, QNAP has also pioneered AI semantic search technology for images. Instead of looking for exact keyword matches, Qsirch semantic search enables users to save time by finding images with a more intuitive and precise image search.
    Maintaining high availability (HA) for business success
    In today's fast-paced business environments, ensuring high availability is crucial for sustaining uninterrupted operations and driving business success. QNAP will showcase comprehensive HA solutions designed to enhance availability across various aspects of IT infrastructure: switch redundancy with MC-LAG, enabling seamless failover in case of hardware failures or network disruptions; virtual machine (VM) high availability for minimizing workload downtime; surveillance failover that guarantees uninterrupted monitoring and recording; and a high-availability storage cluster with QNAP NAS. QNAP’s QuCPE network virtualization premise equipment also has system-level high-availability to achieve minimal downtime for service availability.
    Centralized cloud management platform, and QNAP hosted “myQNAPcloud One.”
    Managing remote devices at scale has always been a challenge for modern IT. AMIZcloud, a cloud management platform for QNAP devices, offers advanced management capabilities that allow for centralized, self-service device management, all from a single interface. Besides remote management of QNAP NAS units for system status, resource utilization, firmware update, and app installation, AMIZcloud will add support for remote management of QNAP network switches for optimal resource and service management efficiency.
    QNAP “myQNAPcloud One” offers a secure and reliable cloud infrastructure with immutability, and is designed to reinforce users’ hybrid backup plans from on-prem QNAP NAS to QNAP’s cloud amid the threat of cyber-attacks. myQNAPcloud One contains a range of solutions to protect various types of data and keep them available at all times, including myQNAPcloud Storage, myQNAPcloud Surveillance, and myQNAPcloud Object - assisting professionals and businesses in streamlining backup of NAS data, surveillance footage, and unstructured object data to dedicated cloud storage for double protection.

    Thank you!
    Nice to see the breath of (qiote) broad basis that QNAP (still & in the near future) covers!
    A few questions;
    Question 1: I suppose the "QNAP NAS Lineup : Enterprise / SMB" (one of the first slides you shown in this video) is not sorted in a particular order?
    (left to right)
    Other then model-nummers, thus numerical, not sorted on (more) powerful processors? (from least powerful on the left to most powerful on the right).
    To briefly explain what I'm referring to, the depicted TVS-h1688X has an Intel Xeon W-1250 (6-core/ 12- Thread processor, up to 4,7 GHz) on board, whilst the TS-h886x has an Intel Xeon D-1622 (4-core/ 8- Thread processor, up to 3,2 GHz) on board. Thus, "in my book", the TVS-h1688x is the more powerful NAS?
    Not it matters that much to me, we have several of both units in use and love them all to bits! (pun intended)
    Question 2: And my other question, although I suppose that will be answered once the web-pages/datasheets are up;
    I suppose the "limitation" of USB 4 only (for the new QNA adapters), will also be applicable for the new expansion units TL-D810TC4 and TL-R1210TC4-RP?
    In other words, no downwards compatibility with USB 3 for those new expansion units?
    Which I can fully understand, just asking to be sure.
    Thanks again, very much appreciated!

      1. Not necessarily in an order, agree that the h1688X is more powerful than the h886 though. In this case the left to right order would be correct.
      2. Yes, so far I understand the compatibility as either USB4 or Thunderbolt3 and Thunderbolt4. Things could change in the next few months leading up to release though.

    Is the USB4 2x25Gbe will be compatible with THB4 as well? Would be a great option for MACs 😊Thanks!

      Most Mac's with the Apple Silicon are USB4 already so will be able to use them.
