20:14 to 21:00 is always my favourite. I mean I love the entire piece of music, but that part gives me chills. The sound of it is so beautiful both pianos talking back and forth to each other, it’s gorgeous.
I wonder if these double concertos were more interesting in Mozart's time when the instruments were not as perfect as they are today. So much of the humour and nuance comes from the interplay of the two piano parts, which is obvious from the score, but most of that is lost in recordings because the pianos sound identical to each other.
As close to understanding God as mankind can! Molto Thank you for upload! 1st "classical" music I bought was a Mozart compilation on a cassette tape; 7 minute track of this recording took me through general relativity, quantum mechanics, and then Mozart, clean & beautiful-like, reconciles the 2 into a harmony that melted my face...

The phrase that start the theme right after the very beginning (bar 4 and 5) reminds me very much to another Mozart theme from another of his piano concertos, but I can't remember which one. It's almost identical. AHHH I CANT REMEMBER WICH ONE FOR GOD SAKE
I challenge everyone to mention a single version of this concerto were both pianists play correctly the triplets in the 2nd movement's passage starting at 11:23. In this case the first one plays it well, but not the second one. It is not just a question of subtle rubato, but just plain unevennes. When played right the passage is celestial! I've listened to dozens of versions and I have still to find one where the rhythm written by Mozart is honored. Even Clara Haskill and Geza Anda (th-cam.com/video/3R-Ruftikis/w-d-xo.html) render it only approximately (the second piano plays a septuplet)
20:13 - 20:58 is just......no words. Sheer perfection.
Gives me Goosebumps each and every time I hear it.
Do agree. You can hear angels singing in this music, in that moment.
Perfection for me is 0:00 to 24:40.

Absolute! :)
sounds like Schumann
Magnificent Mozart! I could listen to this masterpiece 365 times a year and still not tire of it.
Same here! It's so joyous 😊
I think this is one of Mozart's most underrated concerts, if not the most

stienways are all unique tho
Imagine writing a piece that gets better and better with time and not gets boring and dead like these days musicians
Coming out of the cadenza in the third movement gives me chills every time.
The one piece I turn to when I'm stressed or down. This concerto never fails to lift my spirits.
The buildup and spiral wind-down at 21:44 is one of the most amazing moments in all of Mozart.
20:45 "They showed no correction of any kind!"
20:45 to 20:50 is the part used in the movie "Amadeus" ;-)
at which part in the film?
+Jack Salim When Constanze shows Salieri samples of Mozart's sheet music to try to get Wolfgang a job as a music tutor.
Nice
Came after watching Amadeus, such a masterpiece..
I had listened to it a few months ago and for some reason the exact notes I wanted to hear were those at 17:01 and the transition to the 3rd part..
Inexhaustible inventiveness.
Superb.
Or,as Salieri said in The Amadeus Movie:
MIRACULOUS!
20:14 - 20:58
Infinite loop

This piece sounds fun to play. I wish I could play this with someone so we could enjoy this piece together.
One of my students actually said to me, "QUIT HAVING SO MUCH FUN!!!" (I was playing with an LP.)
I cant stop listening, and im a metal head

The THIRD MOVEMENT!! wow!!
Thank you so very much for this recording. I could listen to it over and over. There's something lilting about 6:30.
great piece, great recording!
Probably I've never heard anything better in my life than 20:13
Great! Up there with the Haskil and Anda recording
Art miracle of all times...
20:13 to 20:58 jeez...
Yes. My favorite part.
I'm not familiar with this work, but it's lovely.
This concerto back in Mozarts time would have been performed by him and his sister(Nannerl)

Who wrote cadenzas? .....very good.....can only be the maestro....
Mozart himself
@@mihawkdrakule3869
pretty sure not him.
Sometimes it has some sinfonia concertante's vibes!!! Maybe the tonality plays its game. What do you think?
È palese
Yes
Now that you say that, I haven't thought about it 🤔. Quite plausible.
@@ValzainLumivix Indeed.

Entrance of two pianos sounds as barely heavenly organ.
