Not even a professional performance! I didn’t think the sound quality could be so good on a video, so I knew they recorded it separately, and I started to wonder if they substituted in a professional recording, but no, it’s them. A truly spectacular performance, young ladies! I’m moved beyond words. Treasure these moments! I know at this point it feels like your careers are just beginning, but life may not give you many opportunities to play a concerto for two pianos with full orchestra… and each other!! Treasure this time! I salute you both, and your mastery, and musicality, and great love for the music. Brava! Thank you for blessing us with this magical performance!

C'est un ravissement pour les oreilles et les yeux, de la première note jusqu'à la dernière. C'est un pur moment de grâce artistique. Ils sont plutôt rares . Une telle chimie et harmonie du jeu pianistique entre deux artistes ne peut venir que des salles de concerts célestes où Mozart lui-même doit danser sur sa propre musique ! BRAVO ! Please listen to the Stereo one with George Szell, although the ones with Mitropoulos and Ormandy are also great from their interpretation. And German perfectionism with recording is secondary

My favorite of all Mozart's concertos: piano, violin, flute, etc. And this performance is the best I've ever seen/heard. I can only dream that Wolfgang knows this and is smiling down on these two brilliant musicians. The third movement carries one to a different universe.
What a great performance! On par with the performance of father and daughter Emil and Elena Giles and the Wiener Philharmoniker and Karl Böhm in the mid 70’s.
This specific section always intrigues me. It sounds like it was taken from a piece two hundred years in advance and put there. Sounds a bit like Rachmaninov to me. Just this 10 second section
Many performances of this concerto have the lead pianist also conduct. IMO, it does not work and fortunately there is a conductor here. This is a really terrific performance.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote this concerto so he can play the piano with his sister Imogen, who was obviously quite the accomplished pianist.
