@@nomanejane5766yes they do, but how do they not notice the weight gain an bump in the stomach when bathing? The weight gain was probably minimal, but someone who's comitose like that shouldn't be gaining weight period, unless their nutrition Intake is massively upped. Edit- not to mention all the other signs and symptoms of pregnancy. I know how it is in these places, but I don't an can't believe for a second that NO ONE suspected anything.
Why did nursing staff not notice she had no monthly menstrual discharge???? This goes to show just WHY that rapist had full access bc the care had to be totally neglect.
@@nomanejane5766, Yes, but a head to toe assessment is done on every patient daily! A bed bath, checks for skin breakdown, vitals, etc. You mean to tell me no one heard a second heart beat when assessing for bowel sounds? She's getting enteral feeding, so bowel sounds are suppose to be assessed. Along with residuals. You check for any masses that may indicate constipation or bowel obstructions. The normal hormonal changes (larger breast) do not depend on muscle mass. It's neglectful!
He was only caught because she gave birth - I wonder how many other vulnerable women he & others have raped. So horrendous that even the most vulnerable amongst us aren’t safe, this must have totally destroyed any trust in anyone for her family. And I hope the child is never told who his biological father is & that no stupid law gives that rapist the right to have any contact with him. There is something so fundamentally wrong with humans as a whole 😢
If I had a family member there I would immediately ask for a rape kit and examination to be done on them. Just because this victim was the only one that we know of that got pregnant, doesn’t mean she’s his only victim. I actually highly doubt it. Others may have also gotten pregnant and lost the baby due to not having proper care. This victim only weighed 112 pounds and no one knew she was pregnant? That’s either a lie and cover up or she was very badly neglected. I hope this family sued the hell out of this place.
I remember this story. her family asked staff repeatedly why she was gaining weight when they went to visit her. the family raised the alarm about her growing belly and everyone ignored their concerns
You must be new. Welcome aboard the truth train. There are men who’ve gone to prison for three years for raping a pre pubescent child, got out, committed insurance fraud and get 25 years for THAT crime. No wonder we have a problem with child sex trafficking.
@DestroyerOfEvil_69 why would a straight and cis man be part of LGBT?? On top of that LGBT on record has condemned SA and any sexual violence, whereas religious groups, politicians, and conservative groups have condone child brides/ youth marriages to older men for the sake of "preserving family values" 🤨
Two observations, apart from the obvious fabrications about the patient not being tended by male nurses: 1. A female patient of child-bearing age should have been having menstrual periods. If she was wearing diapers, did no one notice that she had not menstruated for months? 2. She had to have been in pain if she was in labor, even if she was in a vegetative state. Did no one notice her distress?
Nurses are different than care givers they weren’t lying on that but cops weren’t asking proper questions only about her daily cares not her whole all in all medical care which is always nurses job
@@Kitten-empire-hidden-santuary There is such a thing as a lie by omission, when you know darn well what the question is but you give a misleading answer, aka fabrication, designed to lead the questioner elsewhere. They absolutely knew they were being asked about males having access to the woman. She gave birth; a male impregnated her. Which males caring for her had access? If you answer, "none," and you know male nurses had access to her, then you are lying. The motive for the lie is irrelevant. Doesn't matter if it's to protect the employer or to protect another worker.
She’s not in a negative state, she’s alive, but her seizures put her in this sort of altered state. She moans and smiles, and recognizes her family from what I’ve read…
Read about the one that was in a coma over 20 yrs and just woke up. Her father and mother took her home with them with hospital equipment of course and her bedtime friend that was there when she got hit by the car, which would have been her, but instead she pushed her out of the way and she ended up getting hit. Very Beautiful girl. Happened in the 80's. Need to look that one up. Oh and she woke up also after all them years and remembered everyone but had to learn to do everything all over again, like a baby becoming a child then an adult again. But I believe she passed away a little while after that, can't remember when and why. But I just might look her up again and read more about it. Just thought I would let cha know if you never heard about her. Take care 💞
It is cruel. It’s absolutely obscene how many poor souls in vegetative states or comas or similar are warehoused in these monstrous facilities for the purpose of drawing that sweet, sweet Medicaid (or, rarely, private insurance) cash. It is repugnant.
They wasn’t taking care of her and that’s the problem. If the had been they would’ve noticed trauma to her vaginal area and didn’t. To see them crying I’m like your tears mean nothing when male staff is not allowed in the female section of this hospital yet this male staff member had the time to sneak in this patient room, rape her and finish inside without no one noticing.

I weigh 115 and I am a similar age to the victim. There's NO. WAY. you w9uldnt be able to tell. I am small. she is small. I can tell when I am bloated from just my period alone. There's no way.
But a rape kit can also be traumatizing if the patient is a victim or if they're in a state where they can feel but not comprehend what's happening. Some rape victims have a difficult time getting pap smears for decades after the assault as it can be triggering...demanding that women get rape kits seems like their needs aren't being considered over emotionalism. Yes every patient needs to be checked but there may be other ways to do this...also getting a rape kit done months later isn't going to show anything.
This makes me so sick. I feel so terrible for this women. I understand they trusted their employees. And I can only imagine the fear in the good people seeing this. I hope everyone is well now. I'm so happy to hear the little boy is up and acting like a normal baby. I hope he has a great life
@AIuzky Are you fkn serious?! It is natural to feel terrible and have sympathy for that innocent lady. Regardless of her physical medical condition...her body is to be respected. Her body is not entertainment for anyone, especially a sicko. Her body is not deserving of rape, sexually abuse, nor molestation.
@AIuzky she actually felt everything. Her abuse and the labor pains. She was in a vegetative state. Not a complete coma. There is a difference. You should read more about the case b4 guessing.
One of the woman’s parents said to her daughter’s rapist, “I am so glad you are here taking care of her”. The person you least suspect, the person you trust the most. Watch. Your. Children.
No. I am not slow. The woman in the coma is the child of parents who said to the nurse who raped her, ‘we are so glad you are taking care of our daughter’. The parents of the woman in the coma trusted and respected the man who repeatedly raped her. Hence my comment.
She was moved to a different hospital after the birth as well. How were her parents at the old facility talking to staff about their child that isn't there?
Give this guy to the family of the woman and let them determine what happens. Anything like this is where the monster’s fate should be left in the hands of the family. Prison or the death penalty is too good for monsters like this.
I worked in a place like this and the turnover rate is so crazy that no one ever really knows what is going on and all they care about is that you do everything in a timely manner or else you get fired
A couple of years ago, I worked in a care home for people with learning disabilities and it was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. This is how it went: I had never worked in care before, had no experience, was young and just looking for anything that would help pay the bills. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. These are exactly the type of people these companies hire. They’re so desperate and short staffed, they’re basically hiring people straight off the streets. These jobs also attract psychopaths. Sadistic people that enjoy abusing the vulnerable and know how to get away with it. And these companies don’t care at all. They just pretend to. They are a business before they are a care home. They all just want money. We the staff members, would work 12 hour days 3 days a week 7am -7pm. Thats what I worked at least. But if you wanted to work more days, 6 days a week even though the shifts were all 12 hours, 7 to 7, that was aloud. And most people did it. The lunch break was only 20 minutes. I’ve seen staff go from one home to the other. Thats right, work for 12 hours in one home and after that go straight to another home and work another 12 hours for the same company! With no sleep in between! Thats illegal but it would happen all the time. Just like so many other illegal things would. They would start to get quiet desperate and ask the work drivers to connect to take them to different homes. Be practically falling asleep in their shifts from exhaustion. How do these companies expect their staff to perform if these things are aloud?? The staff are exhausted! And because of this the residents are the ones that suffer! Staff are constantly coming and going from these jobs. Eventually people just get fed up of it all and leave. There’s only so much you can take. And its a never ending circle of people starting then leaving. I would start working somewhere, try my best to just get on with it among all the horrible things going on around me. Try and tell myself I need this job and can’t afford to loose it. Just do my job and go home. But it’s impossible with the toxic lying bitches you’re surrounded by in these jobs. Eventually it all just becomes too much. You report things to management, they do jack shit about it. You’re constantly bullied and singled out if you try to report the abuse you see. Staff will make up lies about you, to try to deflect from the bad things they’ve done wrong and cover up the abuse, turn other staff against you. Then you’ll find yourself dragged into all of these lies they’ve made up. You can’t win. Again, this is just some of the things that happened. People love to burry their heads in the sand and live their little ignorant delusions, pretending that there aren’t sick twisted things going on in the world. And thats everything thats wrong with society and why I hate this world so much. I witnessed those residents suffer to no end. They would be stuck in a bed or wheelchair all day, completely paralysed. Going through physical and mental torture, not being able to communicate if they were in pain because they can’t speak. Not being able to say anything but move their eyes, not being able to even scream in agony. All alone just them and their thoughts 24/7. Trapped inside their own bodies. It was pure torture. I would often question, whats the point in living if you’re just existing? Going through never ending suffering, being constantly abused to no end. They basically had no rights. How do you expect someone to say that they’re in pain if they have no way of expressing it? Can’t move or speak. How could they ask for water or food if they were hungry? How could they voice they were being abused if there’s no way to physically do so?? There’s an illness or disease that can sometimes happen to the brain, where it can make you start to eat your own shit. I saw people eat their own shit in these homes. I’m not sure why it happens or what its called, but I think its just an added batch of cruelty these poor people have to endure in their insufferable lives. These people’s life’s were so miserable that they were eating their own shit! In other homes I would see residents play with their own shit and piss, rub it on walls, be crawling around it, the disgustingness was never ending. We were forever cleaning up vomit and all sorts. It was horrendous, like many things were with these jobs. I would witness these residents violently shake and look in distress everyday. When I would ask a staff member if they were ok, if they needed help, if they were suffering or in pain? The staff would say they’re shaking because they’re happy. These people couldn’t give less of a shit if the residents were in pain or dying. I was the only one that seemed to care. They all just seemed oblivious to it all, too busy playing on their phones. On top of that, there was constant bitchiness and arguments between staff. The work environment was so toxic and volatile it was hell. The residents die all the time in these places. Especially in nursing homes when I was working with the elderly. One day they’re there the next they’re gone. And the staff are so used to it they don’t care. Its almost like they never even existed they just move on. In comes another resident to fill up the empty bed that previously had a deceased human on it. I doubt the staff even bother to change the bedding. The world views death as this taboo thing but in care homes its just another day. This is just some of the stuff that happens in these homes. I’ve worked in three different ones you can only imagine what i’ve seen. The job is never done right and the staff are constantly trying to avoid work and half assing the job. And when they see that you’re doing a better job then them, they feel threatened and thats when they’ll start making up lies and accusing you of things you didn’t do, just making your life overall difficult. You can never win. They never give these residents personal care properly. They don’t wash them properly or brush their teeth properly. Because the work load is too heavy and we never have enough staff because the company doesn’t want to pay for it. Their would be inspections of course. But thats a subject for another time, another one filled with loop holes and flaws from a corrupt system like so much of this world is. And you’re lucky if those inspectors are actually doing their jobs right. You have to rely solely on the hope that they are and I have no faith in humanity. Those residents were solely left at the mercy of these abusive evil staff. Or the hopes that someone someday would finally end their never ending agony. If anyone dared to report the abuse, the other staff members would bully, manipulate and lie to cover up what was really happening. No one cared. Their was no way out. I quit after four months. I couldn’t take it anymore. I developed sever depression and anxiety like I never had before. I’ve suffered greatly with my mental health in the past, but this was different. Don’t be naive to think that those residents will at least be surrounded by their family, because thats not how it works at all. They rarely, if at all visit them. Their family and friends can’t be with them all day everyday. They’ll come visit them once a month at max (if they’re nice that is) And its pretty easy for the staff to cover up the abuse and put on their fake mask as soon as their families were there. These residents would be stuck in a room or even worse, a hospital bed were people just walk past them all day like they weren’t there. Alone. Staring at a wall, rotting away until they finally die. Death would be the only end to their suffering and it might not come for decades if they’re still young. The only time they have any contact, is when staff are moving them around like a sack of potato to give them personal care and wipe their ass. Yes, that’s literally how they are treated. Or they are being fed some vile mush that’s been shoved in a blender. Yes, thats their food. Since they can’t chew, most of the time they would just end up eating their own spit. They would have problems swallowing, so when they would spit the food out, or drool it out, the staff would just scoop it back up from their chin and feed it back to them. They have no control of their bodies, can’t move anything, they’re trapped so all their rights are taken away as they can’t express their wants and needs. They would be constantly laid down or sat up straight in a wheelchair all day staring at a wall. The bright lighting in those hospital beds are so bright and painful to the eye. They could always shut their eyes of course and try and get some sleep and they might be able to for a couple of minutes, an hour if they were lucky, but they would be soon woken up by some staff wiping their ass. Or worse, being forced to wake up because its time for some retarded activity, like painting or playing an instrument (even though they get absolutely no benefit from it, because obviously they’re paralysed and can’t move, so they’re basically just being forced to wake up for no reason, when the only thing that gives them some sense of peace is sleep and they can’t even do that!) Its fucking ridiculous. And thats not even scratching the surface of what its like for those poor souls paralysed from the neck down left to rot in these places. And I haven’t even mentioned what its like for the workers to actually work in these places. Thats a story for another day…I don’t know why people fear death when life in this world is what’s truly hell.
She isn't comatose. She is considered to be in a vegetative state, but she is aware of everything. She can hear, feel pain and touch, and even slightly react to things with slight movements and noises like when she moaned in pain from the labor. She is awake and aware, just stuck in a body that won't move.
They aren’t “keeping” her in that state. She’s not in a coma. Shes not ventilated. She’s alive, she breathes on her own. She’s awake. She’s in a vegetative state. They can’t “let her go” doing so is literally murder!
I read a story about 10 years ago about a male nurse who worked in an institution for disabled children (non verbal, paralyzed, etc) who did things to the children and filmed it. He distributed the videos to other disgusting humans. I read that article 10 or 15 years ago, and it still haunts me to this day.
Another sweet lady on British TV recalled her time in a mental hospital for many years. She said there was one male nurse who regullaly assaulted the patients and threatened them to stay silent. When one got pregnant, the secret was out. Its horrific to know that our most vunerable humans are treated in this disgusting way.
You shouldnt hide imformation from your child. If youre hiding one thing theyll always believe there is more to thier life that they do not undertsnad or believe. Imo
@@hellomyfriends9740It all depends who has that child now. Could be with the state. Maybe once they are old enough to understand if with the family, they should.
It's easy to say what you don't believe in when it's not your loved ones. Imagine if that was your mother or grandmother, he raped night after night, and they couldn't say anything to you. @@largemarge1603 perhaps but we never know for sure. When my daughter was in a comatose state, she still experienced pain. The grimace looks on her face, etc.
@largemarge1603 Well, maybe you should put even an ounce of research into this case before speaking because then you'd know she isn't in a full vegetative state. 😒
Just remember, many women have to give birth without any type of pain relief due to medical reasons (believe it or not!). I am one such case that gave birth 3 X with no pain control. Only on Baby #4 was I medically able to get pain assistance (I was a surrogate for my sister) but ultimately declined it. After having gone through births w/o anything for pain, I figured one more delivery with nothing wasn't a big deal since I definitely wasn't have to do it again.
Right? and Rape is so common. He might get a year and cycles continue. So Ban Early Termination because young, weak, vulnerable, girls, poor, handicapped girls pay the price and society will later suffer on too many levels. smh
They believed she was bloated and asked the insurance of her for an ultra sound but it was rejected, in that situation the last thing you would think of pregnancy in her state
I remember getting grossed out when this scenario happened on Kill Bill. I had forgotten about this real life scenario. It makes me sick to think someone could really do this. Sadly, it probably happens more often than anyone realizes. They just might be smart enough to wear a condom. Or lucky to not have gotten anyone pregnant. I'm so sorry that this has happened to this family.
I used to work at a nursing home and I was shocked that there were no cameras in the facility. And this was an high end nursing home for wealthy families. Some residents had cameras in their rooms, but only if the family provided it. They finally installed cameras when the facility was purchased by another company. There are people who like to prey on the vulnerable. This is gross.

I remember this story some years back. He should have gotten life in prison. This was a horrible act of violence against a woman who was in a vegetative state with no way to defend herself.
I'm almost positive that this woman was not his first victim. And only 10 years??!! He should've gotten life or the maximum!! Disgusted is an understatement and I'm so sorry she had to go through this. Can you imagine how frightened she was every time he did this to her, and not being able to talk or move...😢
You don't have to be out there to get hurt or rape , you could be just in a hospital or at home ,for a woman its not safe anywhere,😢 Prayers for the mom to wake up one day 🙏and her son to thrive
Horrible. This woman did not have a choice in who to have a baby with, whether they wanted a baby, whether to be intimate with someone. Then this crime was from someone trusted with her care. Violation on every level.
Unfathomable! It’s sickening that a nurse is caught through his DNA of raping and impregnating a patient in his care and revolting that he’s only serving 10 years for sexual assault! In addition to that, the video coverage is withheld for over five years for what reason? It appears there is more concern in protecting the facility where this took place and the sexual predator, who has likely raped others in his care for years. My heart goes out to the family of this poor victim and her child.
I was in a coma for a month a few years ago. So grateful that the staff did nothing but protect and care for me. These days its a real concern to have. :/
My uncle's in one of these places at the moment. Every time i go to visit him i walk outta there feeling absolutely horrible. Theyre so understaffed that i can't believe their legally allowed to be open. Theres prob 30-40 people on the floor he's on and 2 nurses. Alot of the people there being disabled need 2 people to move them ect. Last time i was there i listened to this poor old woman calling in pure agony to no avail. An the poor nurses there work so damn hard to meet everyones needs but theres just way to much load for 2 people to handle. Something needs to be done about this. Anyone of us can an prob will also end up at a place like this.
If they’re doing that whilst you’re there imagine what they’re doing when you’re not..When theres no visitors around! Take that poor man out of that place! Its all good whilst he’s still able (at least able to speak so he can still report on abuse if its happening) What about when he becomes more and more immobile and eventually unable to even speak?? That would be the worst of the worst because then he can’t even report on the abuse because he can’t bloody talk! The reason why no one noticed the lady was pregnant is because these places are useless! I’ve been working in care/nursing homes for a while now, and i’ll tell you, healthcare facilities as a whole are horrific! Hospitals can’t be any better! I’m gonna share with you the horrors i’ve witnessed throughout the years whilst working in these places. I want to be able to raise some awareness. And hopefully from the things I share people can make up their own mind if hospitals are any different, which i’m certain they’re not! This is gonna be a long one:
I spent 5 months paralyzed in my lower extremities, but fully conscious and alert in a post-acute facility in Santa Rosa CA. I had to tell them that I hadn't had a BM in 8 days. I asked if I could be weighed at the 3 month point because I was dieting. I had lost 58 lbs in 90 days, (they went ballistic). I had 98% great caregivers. The system falls apart at the upper management level. All about the stockholders, period. At least they weigh people there now because of me!! What happened to this poor woman can happen EVERYWHERE now that healthcare is an "industry".
As a CNA I have to ask how the heck did those so called “caregivers” not notice a pregnant belly growing??? They’re the nurses’ eyes and ears to everything regarding the patients’ wants and needs and are supposed to report any changes mentally, physically, and emotionally. I mean even the nurses are supposed to be observant. This is absolutely some of the worst patient neglect and abuse in recorded history.
I'm sure it wasn't the first time the rapist did that. It was just the first time that he got caught. How horrible. I wonder how many other victims are out there.
Fire all the nurses and sue the entire place. How do you not notice the patient is pregnant especially during bathing and exams ! Wtf is wrong with them!
Yes thank you for using your common sense and not being like the other ignorant, delusional idiots that don’t see right through the bullshit. The reason why no one noticed is because these places are useless! I’ve been working in care/nursing homes for a while now, and i’ll tell you, healthcare facilities as a whole are horrific! Oftentimes, Predator men seek out their Sexual victims that's part of their domain or environment and or near home because they like the convenience; having easy access to children in schools/ministries, their own step-children, their own biological children, they're neighbors, they're co-workers and in this case they're own patient(s). And I am almost positive that this wasn't his first rodeo either. I could be wrong but getting caught or discovered doesn't mean that this is your first time. That part. And sadly, these people don't quit unless GOD give them a heart change.
This is a tragic case, and 2 things are clear to me. 1. The comatose patient wasn’t checked properly daily, or they’d have known that she had to have gained weight, and 2. The child who is now 5 years old must have development problems. They say he’s walking and talking! At 5? I would hope he’d be going to school, so the “walking and talking” statement says a lot.
Very true! Thank you for using your common sense. Most people are too stupid to ask these questions. The reason why no one noticed is because these places are useless! @@NoIdea68 …that WAS a long one! 😂 I actually read it all, so you didn’t waste your time. I can tell by the way you’ve expressed yourself that you’re a very caring person, but your experiences have definitely affected you negatively which is bound to happen when working in that type of environment. I’m not sure what country you’re in, I’m in the U.K, and I can tell you that you’ve described exactly the shit holes both my parents and my best friend’s mum had to be stuck in. The shit hole my mum was in contributed to her death. I had a complaint going for three years to get something done about the place before another “inmate” died. I eventually got the manager sacked, and some of the so called carers too. The place was then shut down. I have a 300 page written report agreeing with all of my complaints that my mum’s care was highly inadequate. I wish I’d got a solicitor and sued them, but I couldn’t cope with it, I just wanted them to sack that manager and admit their wrongdoing. I got that, but I’m still angry 7 years later. The staff never answer the call bell when patients need help. They have to sit in their own soiled adult nappy for over 8 hours. Meals that aren’t given, meals that are missing, belongings going missing. Medication going missing, the WRONG medication given, or none at all. Broken ribs, bruises and hateful treatment. I have a friend who is a carer in a large hospital, she tells me similar stories you’ve shared. She’s complained about staff members and my goodness does she regret it! She’s been bullied, ostracised and tried to be forced to quit, but she won’t. I’m absolutely dreading having anything happen to me where I end up in hospital or a care home. I live alone and have no children, so when I get old and infirm, I’d rather just go arse over tit down the stairs and die in my own home to avoid the misery of those places. I hope you can beat the depression and try not to let what you’ve witnessed completely ruin the good things that surround us in life. I think of what my mum went through daily, but I try and balance those thoughts with a nice activity like reading, or art work, or nature. It’s hard, but I’m hoping you have family or friends you can talk to.
@@MoonSpinners Thank you so much for understanding. It feels like a weight has been lifted off my chest, being validated that i’m not the only one who’s seeing this. You start to think you’re going insane. How is no one else seeing this?? How is no one else affected by it?? The tragic truth is that often times they are seeing, and they do know, they just don’t care. Reality is not only disappointing it’s devastatingly cruel. All we can do is try and continue to raise awareness about the things that happen behind closed doors, in this corrupt and deprived world. It’s exhausting being the only one that seems to care. I know that that fight in me is starting to fade. I’m exhausted from it all. But it is very reassuring that i’m not the only one out there. I’m so sorry about what happened to your mum. You can never bring her back, all you have hope for is that she’s at peace now. At the very least you have an idea now of what these places are like, so you know to avoid them in the future. Home care is probably a better option, but having no family to look out for you and voice their concerns is extremely worrying. I’m not sure what to suggest, perhaps if you have close friends you can count on, they can look out for you when you do eventually end up in those places. Its something that I worry about myself, even though i’m still young, anything could happen. You could walk out to the streets and get hit by a car and end up like that. Life is unpredictable and thats extremely frightening. I try not to worry about it too much now. Otherwise you end up just wasting away and slowly killing yourself with worry.
How about no male alone in the room? Venture to say he probably was in her room middle of the night. How did he know no one would be checking on her? Karma to him in prison!
This is absolutely disgusting and twisted. To rape a patient that is a vegetative state and impregnate her is the sickest disturbing thing. He should have nothing ever in life ever again besides the same treatment. I am sick to my stomach every time I see something like this. We had a coroner employee that had raped over 100 dead bodies. He admitted to it. It was crazy and so sickening. He was drinking and doing drugs on County time. He was also having sex with live women in the morgue and his superiors knew this. When he wife had called his boss saying her husband was coming home smelling of alcohol and sex they told her to stop calling and whatever happens on county property, on county time, is county business. That is so disgusting . I don't think they knew what he was doing to the corpse but still. That is sick. He admitted to do this to a young girl 18 yrs old that was murdered and almost decapitated. I swear some humans are just evil and so twisted.
She gave birth in 2008; her attacker got 10 years = 2018. He's been out of prison for 5 years and his son is now 15 years old. I am hoping whomever is raising the son has legally established that monster must remain far away from that boy: no connecting, no meeting each other, no visitation, no communication via any means or social platform, nothing. I'm also sick for this family and this woman and can't help thinking she is probably not his only victim: how long has he been a nurse in a facility such as this? How many other places has he worked where he cares for women while being the only one in the room with them? The more questions my brain comes up with, the sicker I feel about the damage he is/was capable of doing to so many.
Wow, that's how old this story is? As sickening as this entire situation is, why is it now trending on TH-cam again as if this is a new story or had just recently happened?! It literally popped up in my recommendations and shows that this video was uploaded very recently!?
As per the details mentioned during the video playback, the birth happened in 2018. Whoever wrote up the description for this video, got it wrong (i.e. 2008).
Absolutely vile. Talk about apathetic burnout lack of interest. There is no way male caregivers, nurses, ANYONE who can impregnate a comatose patient should be allowed into a room without another person present. As a licensed clinician I’m wondering if anyone working in a supervisory position lost their license over this. Some of the children and young adults I work with are non verbal. Any time we are dealing with bathroom needs of any kind there are two of us present. We let the rest of the clinicians and staff know where we are and what we are doing. Parents grant us enormous trust with their children who are extremely vulnerable to abuse. Just like the family of this rape victim. Her situation is even more precarious bc her family doesn’t see her every day. Which is made worse by the fact that the people around her , licensed or not, simply don’t pay attention. These sorts of jobs aren’t particularly desirable and they don’t pay well. The lack of interest in the patients as living breathing human beings who require the utmost integrity, compassion and professionalism begins with the owners and operators of this facility. Absolutely shameful.
Thank you for using your common sense and having enough compassion in you to see through the bullshit. A lot of peoples responses to this has been making me lose the will to live. Not yours. Please read the comment I left about my experience working in care/nursing homes. They can’t be so different from hospitals. I’m trying to raise some awareness
My guess is that they were severely understaffed. I have know people in the medical field, both in hospitals and nursing homes that have to do the work of 2 people and get written up if they don't complete their tasks on time. That is a recipe for disaster.
The reason why no one noticed is because these places are useless! I’ve been working in care/nursing homes for a while now, and i’ll tell you, healthcare facilities as a whole are horrific! Hospitals can’t be any better! I’m gonna share with you the horrors i’ve witnessed throughout the years whilst working in these places. I want to be able to raise some awareness. I work in the Medical Field. THIS story will forever haunt me!! When one of the staff members said they opened the patients depends and seen a baby’s head!! I can’t!!
Absolutely horrific. To this day, it's nightmare fuel. She's in a vegetative state (that's the first nightmare). Locked in there. Who knows what she can hear, feel, or experience. Then, no one notices shes pregnant? That tells me a lot about this place....
Imagine being in a coma, being on that crazy journey (some people tell creepy stories after coming out of it), and you get pregnant, and you give birth to the baby. Wow.
This is so common, she just happened to get pregnant. My elderly mother told me about incidents when she was in the hospital. Two male caregivers would joke to each other about SAing her. Strip her for fun. It was 8 yeaars after that she told me. She would have anxiety about going to the hospital and I had no idea why. She had an extremely abusive childhood that included the murder of her sister so the trauma was paralyzing. They found out here because she had a baby.
A miracle? You know nothing about the conditions of this family. His "father" is a rapist and a predator, his mom will never be able to care for him. Don't let glitter get in your eyes from fake silver linings
Had it not been for this vid, I would've continued thinking this was another poorly staffed, low rate facility, where abuse is rampant. Seeing and hearing the staff, it is clear, that there was an abundance of qualified, competent, caring professionals. This really was a case of a stranger among us,
This is exactly one of those places what are you on about?? How the hell did they not know she was pregnant?? Did she not show? How didn’t they notice she wasn’t menstruating anymore? So many unanswered questions. I’m glad you at least recognise these places are useless. !
Can't imagine the trauma the family is going through. At the same time the psychotic behavior this man chose to engage. In, and who knows how many times or what other patients he did this too. He is nothing but pure evil and deserving of extra time not just for the extenuating circumstances of his position as a person of trust.
I'm glad the baby is ok, and the patients family is caring for him. The consequences of his birth are very sad, but he has a loving family taking care of him.
Good news? Has nobody ever gave a thought about the future mental health of that poor kid? When he'll find out one day about who his father is and how he was brought to this world? Or about the time when the father is gonna be released from jail and will be, perhaps, demanding to see his child? Why even take this story out of the basement at all? These "journalist" vultures have absolutely not thought about these things when digging this up instead of just leaving them alone, especially if they cared so much about the victim's family. Look at them, talking about it casually, as if they were talking about the weather report or downtown traffic. Disgusting!
The public does need to know the horrors that are happening behind closed doors at these care facilities. These care facilities should be held accountable. That is news. I'm also amazed at how little jail time the vile and disgusting predator was sentenced If this news is hard for you to hear maybe just scroll past.
I agree about preventing him any success in visiting the child. He needs to be imprisoned at least until the child is well into adulthood to prevent him from interfering in the child's life or bothering the child's family (further).
@@M-M-M-M What am I missing???? Should the victim and her child and family be shielded from the perpetrator and the public? Of course, that's common sense. Is this a news story? Yes, a very serious and horrendous crime has been committed. I think the reporters tried to put a positive spin on the outcome in support of the victims while exposing some very important facts to the public. Was their attempt successful? I guess it depends on how you look at it.
10 years for raping, an unconscious woman, but my uncle who is caught with an eight ball of cocaine first charge was sentenced to 18 years. Put that perspective folks
The other really sick part about this is that a comatose woman who is constantly bathed and nappy changed yet no one noticed her belly growing with a baby inside, I mean that's sick in itself
My aunt was one of the social worker nurses on this case in Arizona.. absolutely appalling this pos only got 10 yrs.. and even more disgusting anyone who would want to write him!! 😤😡 He will do this again!! Disgraceful system!!
Who is raising the child? I hope he is in good loving hands and never finds out how he was concerned. I’m not calling that man his father he is no father. I hope the rapist and his family don’t try to get visitation or fight for custody. They don’t have rights.
Even if she didn't gain much weight...her abdomen would have been getting harder. How do you ignore that? And it's not normal for someone in a comatose state to gain weight. Red Flags everywhere! Total negligence! Disturbing and Disgusting!
I’m not an RN. I feel absolutely positive, I would know someone was pregnant. The body goes through changes that are impossible to miss. This is horrific!
I don’t understand how no one knew she was pregnant. Don’t they do routine exams? It should be mandatory for someone in that state to monitor blood work, urinalysis, hcg testing, etc. For their own protection to ensure they’re doing the best for patient care.
And hopefully from the things I share people can make up their own mind if hospitals are any different, which i’m certain they’re not! This is gonna be a long one:
The amount of people who are more worried about the baby, rather then the woman who suffered thru all this…yall are sick no wonder ppl still view women as incubators.
The fact that they had no idea she was pregnant tells you how poorly they care for the patients
Thats almost every place now. Health care cost too much to do a good job.

As an RN, there is NO WAY a Nurse doing a proper assessment would not have noticed her belly growing. Come on! Total patient neglect. Period.
As an RN then you would know that a comatose patient looses a lot of muscle, so it might not be noticeable
Everyone failed her 😢
@@nomanejane5766, Yes, but a head to toe assessment is done on every patient daily! A bed bath, checks for skin breakdown, vitals, etc. You mean to tell me no one heard a second heart beat when assessing for bowel sounds? The normal hormonal changes (larger breast) do not depend on muscle mass. It's neglectful!
He was only caught because she gave birth - I wonder how many other vulnerable women he & others have raped. So horrendous that even the most vulnerable amongst us aren’t safe, this must have totally destroyed any trust in anyone for her family.

I am also surprised that NO ONE who was bathing/taking care of her noticed that she was pregnant!
I read she weighed about 112 lbs which is wild considering she was 9 months pregnant
True, bizarre hope the kid is ok and that the woman's family are taken care of this baby
Very true. A basic assessment should be done daily, which includes assessing the abdomen. It seems insane how negligent the facility was in this case
It's a cover up they knew!!!! I live here in Az.....believe me THEY KNEW!!!

Yes, 10 years is not enough.
Ya, and these days rapists can get visitation of the child of the rape, so 5 years in jail & out for good behavior....hope he never sees the kid!
Two observations, apart from the obvious fabrications about the patient not being tended by male nurses:
1. A female patient of child-bearing age should have been having menstrual periods. If she was wearing diapers, did no one notice that she had not menstruated for months?
2. She had to have been in pain if she was in labor, even if she was in a vegetative state. Did no one notice her distress?
🎯💯👏 thank you. Finally a comment that gets it. I think there's something else going on and the hospital knows a lot more than they're letting on.

Keeping someone in a vegetative state alive for 14 years sounds cruel.
The thing is the nurse that raped her easily manipulated and changed records that’s why they didn’t find out she was pregnant.
@@NoIdea68no thank you
She isn't comatose. She is considered to be in a vegetative state, but she is aware of everything. She can hear, feel pain and touch, and even slightly react to things with slight movements and noises like when she moaned in pain from the labor. She is awake and aware, just stuck in a body that won't move.
So I’m other words a nightmare.
I would pray that my family would let me go. That sounds like torture
It is torture ! That whole family is disgusting for keeping her alive in a perpetual nightmare.
That is cruel beyond measure. I don’t see how anyone could keep a loved one in that state.
The kid should never know his origin story and if so very late into his adulthood. That’s a heavy burden to carry
Impossible In this Internet age.
I agree.
He gonna find out anyway eventually! 😢 all we can do is pray for him.
This should warrant the death penalty.
Not a fan of the death penalty and its weird to casually speak of murdering people as punishment
Definitely not a death penalty. Two wrongs don't make a right. Don't punish evil with evil!
Except our justice system is a laughing stock. He only got 10 years.
It's easy to say what you don't believe in when it's not your loved ones. Imagine if that was your mother or grandmother, he raped night after night, and they couldn't say anything to you. He only gets 10 years, when he is out, now imagine him doing this to a child. You may think the death penalty isn't the answer. Sometimes, it's the solution.
@@richladytv3014 I have had a loved one be victim to a crime and I still don't believe in the death penalty. Don't punish evil with evil the Bible says
I can’t imagine the level of pain she might’ve experienced giving birth for who knows how long.
@cap,
That physical body has nobody living in it.
It is artificially maintained... why?
So Ban Early Termination because young, weak, vulnerable, girls, poor, handicapped girls pay the price and society will later suffer on too many levels. smh
I worked in the nursing field. Who ever gave her a bath would have known she was pregnant. I do not believe they did not know.
They believed she was bloated and asked the insurance of her for an ultra sound but it was rejected, in that situation the last thing you would think of pregnancy in her state
@@charlotte3794 Did they ever palpate her abdomen?
Geez I wouldn’t let my pet goldfish be cared for at that facility 🤬 How disgusting 🤮
It took the staff 9 months to know she was pregnant ⁉️This is terrible 😢
No, it took until seeing the baby partially born and in distress.
Same. I'd forgotten about the Kill Bill scene, too. Shit. It's horrendous.
You’re 100% right. Please read the comment I left about the horrors I witnessed working in care/nursing homes. They can’t be that much different from hospitals. I’m trying to raise some awareness
A couple of years ago, I worked in a care home for people with learning disabilities and it was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. This is how it went:
I had never worked in care before, had no experience, was young and just looking for anything that would help pay the bills.
So horrible the pain and torture this lady went through. Noone will understand the horror unless they too have been assaulted.
You don't have to be out there to get hurt or rape , you could be just in a hospital or at home ,for a woman its not safe anywhere,😢
Prayers for the mom to wake up one day 🙏and her son to thrive
Correction, For anyone with a Vagina it isn't safe but even those with a Penis are not safe. 👍 Rape is not discriminatory.
Be a woman anywhere anytime and you're a target.
The family is raising that child and they moved her to another facility. They are still very upset at what happened. These people are 100% vulnerable.

Are you going to do something… like call and report it or bring him home and hire or get a state appointed caregiver ? Or just post it here
I spent 5 months paralyzed in my lower extremities, but fully conscious and alert in a post-acute facility in Santa Rosa CA.
As a caregiver for 12yrs this breaks my heart 😢
Exactly, someone knew and decided to hide it. Probably scared to lose their job and cared for about that then helping a defenceless woman. Disgusting
A couple of years ago, I worked in a care home for people with learning disabilities and it was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. This is how it went:
I had never worked in care before, had no experience, was young and just looking for anything that would help pay the bills.

Can't believe this was 5 years ago 😢 wow.. kid is a whole kindergartener now .
This is awful. Bad enough she's in a vegetative state making her terribly vulnerable but the poor baby
Imagine how sick of a person you have to be to be turned on by someone in a vegetative state. Good god.
D I S G U S T I N G. Cannot believe no one knew any thing of this. Breaks my heart.
what a horrible horrible man. hes evil. he deserves to go to prison for the rest of his life.
This was in 2018, and the body cam footage is just now being released. This place has been shut down! Thank Goodness!
He should have been charged with forcible rape ! He should be doing life !
I thought the same thing. They did mention in the video that the baby wasn't breathing for a while...
Very true! Thank you for using your common sense. Most people are too stupid to ask these questions.
The reason why no one noticed is because these places are useless! I’ve been working in care/nursing homes for a while now, and i’ll tell you, healthcare facilities as a whole are horrific! Hospitals can’t be any better!

God bless that young man, baby boy.
New rules need to be two people (workers) when they are in a patients room.
There’s not enough staff for that.
How about no male alone in the room? Venture to say he probably was in her room middle of the night. How did he know no one would be checking on her? Karma to him in prison!
@AIuzky Jesus society is just sick nowadays.
It happened in 2018.
As per the details mentioned during the video playback, the birth happened in 2018. Whoever wrote up the description for this video, got it wrong (i.e. 2008).
It was 2018 I am a nurse and remember this story we were at the job disgusted by it I hope he never makes it out of that prison.

So thankful the child is loved & well taken care of !
Only 10 years? Why are sexual assaults treated as lesser than drug and alcohol charges???
If he raped one comatose patient have they looked at other places this dude worked
Cameras as well . The minute someone steps into the room it starts recording.
Definitely not. Invasion of a person privacy. You have cameras outside in the hallways. That's pretty much all they need
Male nurses should not be alone with female patients ...honestly
Every day you hear something happening that is even worse than the worst news yesterday.
Not even her family noticed.. this is unbelievable 😔😔😔
This scenario is like a scene from a horror movie. The actions of this miscreant are vile and unforgivable.
I’m an RN, there is no way that the pregnancy was not detected earlier. Failed nursing assessments! Incompetence by staff!
Honestly they need to let this woman go. Her quality of life omg.
It's mind boggling that no one single person noticed what was happening. Was every single staffer in that place incompetent?
yes
My guess is that they were severely understaffed. I have know people in the medical field, both in hospitals and nursing homes that have to do the work of 2 people and get written up if they don't complete their tasks on time. That is a recipe for disaster.
The reason why no one noticed is because these places are useless! I’ve been working in care/nursing homes for a while now, and i’ll tell you, healthcare facilities as a whole are horrific! Hospitals can’t be any better!
I’m gonna share with you the horrors i’ve witnessed throughout the years whilst working in these places. I want to be able to raise some awareness. And hopefully from the things I share people can make up their own mind if hospitals are any different, which i’m certain they’re not!
This is gonna be a long one:
A couple of years ago, I worked in a care home for people with learning disabilities and it was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. This is how it went:
I had never worked in care before, had no experience, was young and just looking for anything that would help pay the bills.
I read somewhere that some noticed suspicious "Bloating" and requested an ultrasound, but the insurance denied it.
Wow.
At least her parents have part of her. They must love him very much .
The woman's mother was recently interviewed. The child lives with the woman's parents on an Apache reservation and is very loved by her family.
A part of her from rape ? Wow
How did this guy, do this to her without getting caught? And when he gets out of prison, will he owe back child support? He surely ought to.
😢
So tragic ! For mother plus baby too ! Prayers 🙌🏽❤️🙏🏼🕊. Prayers 🙏🏼
And a staff member considering writing to the abuser? Really?
This child was a miracle. The baby survived against all odds and that mama did, too. They are both survivors. 💜
This really was a case of a stranger among us,
So baby was discovered when diper was opened... he could have had asphyxiation and died
This is exactly one of those places what are you on about?? How the hell did they not know she was pregnant?? Did she not show? How didn’t they notice she wasn’t menstruating anymore? So many unanswered questions.
I’m glad you at least recognise these places are useless. ! I’ve been working in care/nursing homes for a while now, and i’ll tell you, healthcare facilities as a whole are horrific! Hospitals can’t be any better!

Can't imagine the trauma the family is going through. At the same time the psychotic behavior this man chose to engage. In, and who knows how many times or what other patients he did this too. He is nothing but pure evil and deserving of extra time not just for the extenuating circumstances of his position as a person of trust.
The perpetrator should have got a life sentence without parole! smh
10yr sentence is not enough. That is beyond sick. Cant imagine the horror the family of the patient is dealing with.
How could nobody know she was pregnant?
Good question.
Thanks to reporter for keeping on this and demanding answers
Please edit the description box details as you are stating it's from 2008 instead of 2018.
Yeah I was like 2008? Why does the quality look so good
It’s 5 years old, do the math. 2018, not 2008.
I'm glad the baby is ok, and the patients family is caring for him. The consequences of his birth are very sad, but he has a loving family taking care of him.
Count yourself lucky bro that wasn't my family member
The stupidity of staff to only consider some people with access "care givers" but fail to tell police about the rest of staff with access.
Disgusting!
Great reporting. I like followup. There is a happy ending of a sort. Thank you.
The public does need to know the horrors that are happening behind closed doors at these care facilities.
These care facilities should be held accountable. That is news.
I'm also amazed at how little jail time the vile and disgusting predator was sentenced
If this news is hard for you to hear maybe just scroll past.
I agree about preventing him any success in visiting the child. He needs to be imprisoned at least until the child is well into adulthood to prevent him from interfering in the child's life or bothering the child's family (further).

What am I missing???? Should the victim and her child and family be shielded from the perpetrator and the public? Of course, that's common sense. Is this a news story? Yes, a very serious and horrendous crime has been committed.
I think the reporters tried to put a positive spin on the outcome in support of the victims while exposing some very important facts to the public. Was their attempt successful? I guess it depends on how you look at it.
10 years for raping, an unconscious woman, but my uncle who is caught with an eight ball of cocaine first charge was sentenced to 18 years. Put that perspective folks
These workers are sick! How old was the victim?! Omg!
He will do this again!!
I think no one noticed because she was eating to gain weight. I'm amazed that the baby lived on little nourishment. Not surprised that he was born without assistance.
They need to keep cameras in rooms.
Good to hear the baby survived and is thriving
I'm trying to understand how any one working in the medical field wouldn't know in advance that she was pregnant 🤦
The amount of people who are more worried about the baby, rather then the woman who suffered thru all this…yall are sick no wonder ppl still view women as incubators.
