I'm definitely jealous of the watch collection but i also find it bizzare that how these people with extreme amount of succes and money don't actually have stories to fo with watches. I personally feel there should actually be a story behind every watch at least while wearing them if not while buying them to truly enjoy your watches rather than just buying watches for just expanding your collection. I might be wrong and he may have stories which he hasn't told but that's just what i feel. Also would love to see sentimental pieces which may be very low cost watches but have a core memory attached to them , like maybe your first watch which your dad got you or maybe the timex or casio handed down by your grandpa . Gives a whole new meaning to your passion for watch collecting😅

I guess if you enjoy the watches it's good enough whether or not it has a story or an investment . It would be nice to see more watch collectors that arent only collecting because theyre enormously rich. Being rich is okay, but if thats WHY youre buying them, who cares. Like Nico said, theyre all hype pieces. All of them. No micro brands, no one off weird watches we havent seen a thousand times.

I feel even more insane is saying on social media you have 1.5 milion euros easy to transport and to hide in your house in London. Two guys who tortred and killed a guy for a 16 watches colection worth 200.000 euros just got arested in Scotland and Northeren Ireland a couple of days ago.

when I was in Geneva with my dad, he went to the pate store and he was offered to buy a lake Geneva enameled world time. (he has bought many pates and was invited to buy a custom clock from them when the store in LA was opened ) but he turned it down, and it was such a beautiful watch with the minute repeater and enameled dial.

I have been collecting for 30 years and I never understood the buzz about the Daytona. I bought one to understand and never connected with it stays sitting on the box. I by far prefer the speedmaster on black leather strap. I like and own rolexes but not the most commonly wanted ones. I was also lucky to buy all the rolexes I wanted before hype. I have dssd JC, sd43, 2 explorer2 black and polar. I like the more under radar like Breguet, Blancpain and Zenith.
