Paragraph 55/80: you can only build a house of your dreams on your own land if you can afford to spend excessive amounts of money to build “special and outstanding” architecture. The average peasant need not apply.
Also you need enough money to ignore resale value.begone all you peasants
It reminds me of the small bachelor pad a young architect built with shipping containers a few seasons ago. Of course, it's about ten times bigger, but it has a similar feel. And both are gorgeous.
I remember that one. 😊
We powwowwoew we we we ahapoop
That's a beautiful home
Maybe rename this show "unaffordable designs"...?
Wow this place is absolutely…. Just wow
Beautiful, only i need 3 lives or to be a milionare😀 this looks expensive😂
This is beautiful but shouldn’t sustainability be one of the key requirements now!!!
100% agree
Britts love their cantilevers! 😂
surprised they did not make them put a fence to prevent falling to floor below.
how is steel and concrete sustainable?
It’s very very durable with low maintenance…that’s the reason. I guess…though- every new building (especially this big) is not sustainable at all in the end (to me)… ;-).
It is the furthest thing from sustainable, large cantilevers, expensive cladding, in-situ concrete. They just added a green roof to justify the excessive carbon footprint.
YOU FORGOT TO SHOW US THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE!
'Sustainable'? -wonder what the embodied carbon was for its construction.......... if its not a 'carbon negative' building then its not sustainable.........
how much was the project??
Two small children, and a roof garden with no edge barrier...
So lovely to see the furniture and interior decoration match the architecture and time period.
Heaven on earth
Amazing.
There are some areas, indoors and outdoors, that seem unsafe for children. This could be addressed by installing proper balconies and barriers that could be in glass to not disturb the architecture.
And yes... solar power, rain water collection and so on...
Cost?
OMG This house is amazing!
90% of this series is a couple building a concrete box in the countryside. 🙄
So true when is someone going to do something different.
Murks
Where can i see Grand Design online?

This home is magnificent 🔥❤
beautiful
Concrete with small children brilliant. Seems excessive size for small family. And definitely not green building process
Such a beautiful surrounding and then they go and put a concrete bunker there 😒 and the garden oh, there is no garden, no trees, no bushes no flowers. Just as sterile as their house, sorry no 👍 from me
Yeah insanely sad design for a beautiful area. They ruined it
I hate these new disgusting buildings/houses..they just look like offices and go against the flow of nature..
Eyesores!!
