A Nordic Barnhouse Surrounded by Treetops

- Nestled in a vibrant forest outside the Danish town of Randers, one finds the breathtaking Villa Brink. With a strong emphasis on natural materials simulating its natural context, the house beautifully balances the cold and the warm to create an atmospheric home for the designer’s own family. Here, one can experience the essence of Nordic bathhouse design; interact with the goats; eat a home-made egg; and relax by the generous trees.

One of the best designs that integrates the outside landscape into the inside, makes one feels always connected to the landscape. Thank you for presenting this house and filming
Breathtaking design in an excellent landscape! 💚
It’s genius how the atrium is connecting the two lineal structures!!! Lovely & inspiring. I’d just plan like a courtyard type or half open courtyard.
Thank you for posting 👏🏻❣️👏🏻❣️
Thanks for the kind words! 🙏🏼
Very nice house and cars even better. But focal point of this experience is the journalist that make all this warm and human.
So beautiful
My favorite house during the last few years. I'll use the inspiration from this in my Ukrainian house renovation.
18:32 The doggo just acting like they own the place 😂🐶
Indeed! Pretty sure it was not just an act 😂
SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First time seeing a house tour that such entertaining like this, haha
Great work, guys
Very Nice! 😎⚡️🙌
AMAZING
Woooow!😍
Yes! What is your favourite part? 😍
The atrium is amazing
I completely agree! 😍
Beautifull home
It really is!
Me thinking: "It must be wonderful to wake up with this view in the forest, very nordi vibes." but then I think "it must be scary, haunting to look deep at the forest at night" 😆😂
You are not wrong 😂 But it is incredibly beautiful there
Great channel
Beautiful house and such an underrated channel!
Thanks a lot! I will do my best to grow the channel, so it will hopefully soon get recognized. 🙌🏼
Joking aside, very good accommodation.
Beautiful house layout. Thank you. I wish you had shown a blueprint of the floor plan.
We might work on a way to integrate some graphics with blueprint in the future. Stay tuned!
Great channel! Looking forward to new videos.
Thank you so much! More tours will come soon. 🙌🏼
The idea of the office and the entrance is an idea from Bernardo Bader, I've seen that before, but it works really good every single time.
Great house! I would love a list of material suppliers so I can approach them for my build e.g acoustic ceiling
Hello! Thanks for the tour! So beautiful! However, I’m wondering how the atrium sheds rain and snow, being attached to the roofs of both the other structures? How is this accomplished? Thanks!!
In the United states they use something called a "cricket" to help with that issue.
Nice house!
It is indeed! Just love the sounds and views of the idyllic nature combined with the incredible architecture.
Can‘t wait to see more incredible homes!
Great to hear! More will come 🙌🏼
Love the house and your unique fun way of touring us around. The camera lady needs some improvement.
Thanks! She had never held a camera before. The new tours we are producing are with professionals, so quality will soon improve 👍🏼
This guy is a little over the top!
That glazed atrium is amazing!! Why didn't you turn on the heat for the outdoor bath? 🤣🤣
Well, we are vikings here! The cold got nothing on us. 😂
@@RestlessLiving well, makes sense 😅
❤❤❤
I love this house the balcony that runs along the house i would have used a glass enclosure to fend off, any creatures such as wolf, bears or what not lurking in the forest..
Please show us normal houses in Copenhagen or near Copenhagen or at it's outskirt...may be in the woods! Solo detached houses for buying.....soo want to see it.
Wow its nice to see. Where is the location? Me from Country = India(Assam)
Incredible design. You don't see homes like this in America and it's a shame.
I just bought land in colorado and in the spring ill build a less lavish version of this using ICF
How wide is the house? I am guessing about 7 to 8 meters wide by 37 meters long.
Amazing house and a great tour, what’s the designer’s name
Thanks! The owner is the designer. His name is Bruno Jakobsen and you can find his work here: www.brunojakobsendesign.dk 😊
@@RestlessLiving did the designer design the actual house too or was there an architect too?
@@mollyduke9878 He also designed the actual house, yes. 😊
Gorgeous - but me thinks u might need to get a new cameraman (haha)
My usual cameraman got injured right before the shoot, so my girlfriend - without prior experience - courageously grapped the camera to help making the video happen. I think she did well considering the fact she has never done it before. 😉
@@RestlessLiving In that case, yes she did ! Not an easy job ... But great channel - keep up the great work. I love your choice of case studies !
@@soniawoolley366 Thanks a lot! We will be doing much more tours in the future, so stay tuned. 🙌🏼
Hello Sonia
This would be a good Minecraft build
Nice content but got dizzy of the camera moving
Thank you! My videographer got injured before the shoot, so we had to find another option last minute. 😅
What kind of people can have such a house without a library ?
Price to buy?
It is not for sale. It is the designer’s own home. 😊
Reminds me of J Balvins house
Yeah, I can see the resemblance. 🙌🏼
Who is the architect? Couldn’t catch it.
Bruno Jakobsen (the owner).

@@RestlessLiving thanks. You present some of the best houses!
Does it built by wood ?!
It is built in cedar wood. 🙌🏼
Wonderful house!!!!!!....and sorry ..your cameramen is very bed(((
It’s a very nice project. Maybe an experienced cameraman can film it, not like here with a shoe?
The way the video is taken destroys the mood
100% - also - why didn’t they remove the obvious errors like tripping up and the cramp in the camera holder’s arm in post! This is honestly one of my favourite designs and the tour was ruined by the clumsinesses of the video team
True
Agreed
Love the design, preferably less talking though
Kids would just fall off the second floor
The house was designed for kids that were in the early teenage years. They have had no incidents. 😊
wider angle lens + gimble...
the giddy announcer is not a credit to the site
Ho, you selling cars?
Less you, more house. Allow the architecture and design to speak.
errors were made in the kitchen/dining/entertainment area.
Please get a new camera man 😁
Great house …bad filming and unprepared talk! Shame
Amazing architect, horrid interior designer.
Lifeless interior design but otherwise beautiful altogether
As a Dane I'm sorry to say I'm not impressed. For me it's just another boring design that looks the same as all the modern design houses in Denmark. The lokation is beautiful, but the house is not.
😂 The content is not adding a lot. Fairly useless comment and I will close the account because it makes huge mistakes about the fire place. And in general very annoying
Take the old olive tree back to its original home, please. Don't be kistch and inhumane.
Great house…. The presentation was very amateurish…please prepare what you will say and film! You are not charming enough to carry an unprepared talk!
Ouch! Come on don’t be so mean.
