Another great video! I love watching your videos, enjoying your life and seeing new things! You are my favourite TH-camr, I’m always so excited to see what you have been up to and find myself rewatching last years vlogs!

My BF and I traveled in SE Asia, mostly Thailand, for over 7 months - each with only a 19L backpack. I ended up throwing stuff away and leaving clothes behind as we went along. We each had a foldable yoga mat, too. What I do when packing for any trip, but especially when going abroad, is I put out everything I *think* I need. Then I start paring it down as much as possible - almost to the point where it feels painful! 😂 That tends to get me just about where I want to be, but the process is not perfect, so there's always something I learn along the way in terms of what I actually wear or need. I love your videos, btw!

@@geckodesigner thanks 🙏 for sharing your tips. Yes I look back at my first packing videos and shudder at the things I packed. Things are a little different now I’m settled in Cambodia 🇰🇭 I have gathered a few things to make home life a little more comfortable. I have also picked up a fe more clothes so I don’t get fed up of wearing the same things although I do gravitate to my favorites.
Thank you for your kind words. Cambodia is being so kind to me as well as teaching me so much. 🇰🇭🥰

No one ever wins a prize for having the heaviest bag😅 I used to carry a camping towel but found my sarong works well in a pinch and dries in minutes. On a similar note I've found tri-blend shirts (nylon, cotton, rayon) are lightweight, don't wrinkle and dry overnight. More importantly, the cotton absorbs odors that most synthetics trap (thus the funk).
In truth, when it comes to clothes, if you're good with washing two shirts and pants every other day you really only need three changes of clothes and no dry line. It takes all of five minutes and a little shampoo to do this so I add it to my nightly ritual and I'm good to go the next day. Of course, for your trip you'll want the swimming gear but you should have plenty of room left over for your mask, snorkel and swimmers.
Loving your videos. Keep 'em going!

Well done nan, you will definitely be travelling with just a handbag soon :-) I had travelled with too much stuff many years ago and that one experience has made me travel now with just one small 20litre backpack (and it's half empty most of the time )... Another great vid :-)

Although right now I’m really enjoying being settled in Cambodia 🇰🇭. I really feel at home here right now.

Travelling light is always the way to go. As for charging up things, switching to one of the newer gan chargers (65-67W - there are some great ones out there) which are 1/4 the size of the apple charger, 2 usbc to usbc cables and a couple of USBc to lightning / usba / micro adapters will charge everything including apple laptops and eliminate the heavy apple charger and other chargers for phones and headphones.

Thank you for your advice I really appreciate it. I have so much to learn still about the technical aspect of this. 🤗

Regarding the GaN charger: My husband uses the 65W one from Anker for his Macbook Pro, but that one has only one USB-C slot. But I have been eyeing the Minix ones - they have several slots plus you can change the plugs (EU, UK & US) and they are rather small and got good reviews. But I have not tested them yet. :)

@@MaggiFuchs thanks 🙏 so very much for that. I will see if I can find one. Electronics are hard to find in Cambodia. 🇰🇭

Love packing light. One bag carry on is the only way to travel. No checked luggage. I have a 21 litre convertible backpack, small fanny pack, and a medium size cross body sling.
We don’t need all the stuff we would like to take for “just in case”. Why haul all that stuff around the world and pay checked baggage fees and carry more than we need?
If you find that you really need something that you left at home…..chances are you can buy it or its equivalent at your destination, and for a cheaper price. (Unless you’re traveling in Europe or North America….and then you will pay more.).
    🙏🏼 🌴 🌴 🌴 ✈️ ☸️ 🙂

SE Asia and anywhere warm, more is not better. Too much stuff to look after can be very annoying when travelling. I am a super light traveller as well, If you have a passport and a wallet pretty much everything else is optional!

Take a Gravol (Dimenhydrinate) about 45 minutes before getting on a rocky boat or other thing that might cause motion sickness. I find that as long as I take one….I’m fine.
