Yeah i loved it! I was a little worried going into it because of the criticism of it being repetitive but it wasn’t in my opinion. I loved the different perspectives and the ending was fun (and also terrible hahah)
I am admittedly a Fourth Wing hater, but I also struggle with the fact that as of late, Rebecca Yarros has posted some opinions on her Instagram and done some interviews that show ignorance and disrespect at best about current world situations and the cultures and languages she features in her books. I was all for Fourth Wing getting people back into fantasy novels, but now hearing the hype for Iron Flame when Yarros has proven to be problematic just makes me wince.
Literally this. I think it’s really ironic that Rebecca is writing an oppressive society in her fantasy book, and her characters are striking back against it, yet irl, she chooses to side with the oppressors. It absolutely rubs me the wrong way
Havent read fourth wing yet, but the "dragon without their rider/rider without their dragon" slogan reminds me of Eragon....and I'm not sure how i feel about that
I just successfully forgot book of night existed because I hated it and now I am reminded of the fact that there was this little thing in me that wanted to read the next book just to know how it end😂
I knew what was going to win (lose) straight away. 😆 My worst this year so far was The Neighbor Favor, and it was only a two star-by some miracle I’ve escaped one-stars all year!
Love this i am also a fellow fourth wing hater. I preordered it as a 5 star expectation and its absolutely the worst romantasy I've read. terrible characters writing and world.
I gave fourth Wing like 3 stars, so then now I try to look up spoilers to see if I want to read the next one or not but every single one is about the Relationships and romance when all I wnat to know is some form of plot😂 The german Translation literally has almost 1000 pages....
I'm currently reading Iron Flame (Fourth Wing's sequel) and flying through it. It's just really interesting how differently people can experience books!
As someone who had fun with fourth wing (yes it’s total trash but so am I) don’t put yourself through iron flame. It’s not worth it for your sanity even if the video would be hilarious to watch.
I read The Paris Apartment on holiday and - although slightly addictive - I found the editing throughout almost laughable... all the characters at some point are "sweaty" for some reason... for then Fowey? to list all her helping editors at the end of the novel as a thank you had me chuckling.
The Drowning Woman on this list is so controversial yet so BRAVE like ma'am I hate to admit but there has not been a Robyn Harding story I've enjoyed YET.

I thought for sure this was Sarah Shauer based on the thumbnail. But then I was perplexed that she was reading books and confused by the Australian accent. Then I realised it was an English accent.
My worst book of the year was Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim by David Sedaris. I would have dnf'd it but I was on vacation. I also didn't like Poppy War. And had I finished it, The Ex Hex would have been a 1 star for me.
I must have missed the video where you read Stephanie Plum! I am up to like the 23rd book. I know they are trash, but I have such a fun time when I read them that it's okay with me. 😄 I read Song like Silver, Flame like Night this year and I was really disappointed by it. Most of that disappointment is possibly because I liked the cover so much, but the story was just so boring to me. Stuff was happening, and I just didn't care.

Every boys got one by Meg Cabot is one of the worst books I've ever read. Its badddd. I wrote 3 or 4 pages in my reading journal about why it sucks.
