All I can do is say GRACIAS. YOU HAVE NO IDEA. You have done with your tutorials what no other instructor got me to do . Understand how to do it. Please know I am really grateful and bless you.
I am watching your pattern tutorial because I don't want to spend for and hoard sewing patterns with my small income and even smaller space. Through this, I can enjoy sewing trending designer outfits I can't afford. Thank you.
Love your site. You make it look so easy and also so logical . Fantastic for beginners! I never had the standard measurements of patterns so I always had to make so many adjustments that sewing became so a chore instead of a hobby. Thank you so very much :-)
I used to sew everything but always used patterns. Am just getting back into it after a 20 year hiatus! Now I can just make my patterns. This is genius that we get to pick your brain!! Thanks so much
I like your video tutorials a lot. It always makes me think that what you are teaching is so simple because of the way you say it and the way you made your video so simple like that. I’ve made my basic bodice well, thanks to you. Thank you for making it so simple to us beginners. My problem is how to identify good fabrics. Btw, I like the way you look in every tutorial. Pretty.
Awww this comment just gave me butterflies in my tummy. Congratulations on making your own bodice pattern 🎉Appreciate your positive feedback. As for fabric shopping, it comes with time. The more you interact with different fabrics, sew with them and test them, you will gradually start to know what is good fabric.
I've liked it even before watching!! Have been watching your tutorials for a few days now and they are absolutely awesome. May God bless you for sharing your knowledge and gift!!
Thank you Kim for this great tutorial. I just found you and subscribed. You are a wonderful teacher. I am a plus size and learning the skills for drafting my own patterns is such a help to me. I have been sewing for others for years, but have always had trouble with fitting myself. This is going to be a great help to me. Thank you and God bless you!
Love u Kim, I'm a new fan, that's why I suscribed. I'm from Mexico and even if I don't speak english as my natal lenguage, I can clearly understand. Thank you so much
very informational and well done. I was wondering if you may also consider doing a tutorial on a wrap skirt. A question that came up for me was how much of an overlap do you require for the front skirt pieces - your dress bodice was 4". Thank you and will keep watching to see if a wrap skirt may be a future project!
Hi Priscilla, Thank you for these wonderful patterns! I was excited to see that you created an A line pattern for a wrap dress. I would like to know if you would be willing to create another wrap dress pattern that is more straight? Thank you!
Thanks loads Kim!this is the video I have been searching but couldn't find any satisfying pattern drafting video other than yours!Best wishes frm Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Thanks so much for sharing this video. You're awesome with your how-to measurements. Also, you look great in that outfit. Blessings to you my dear Kim.
Kim, I have been searching for a wrap dress pattern for quite some time and finally, finally a great tutorial on a wrap dress. Thank you so very much for making this tutorial; it's well appreciated. I will definitely give this a try! I would also like to see the tutorial on how you made the wrap dress.
This is splendid. Thank you for the knowledge you are sharing. I am just a beginner and honestly I this tutorial isn't quite beginner friendly though I got the information. Is it possible or even ok to have a knee-length wrapped around with jacket/coat collar sewn? I intend it to be my first project
I love your channel. I have a request I'm yearning for vintage (1940's) sailor pants. If you could do a video on that I'd be ever so appreciative. Can't figure out the front button and high waist. Thank you.
If all the paper you have available to draft your pattern is the thin tissue paper use the tissue paper to draft but before cutting it out you can stiffen it with a layer of food plastic wrap heated to the tissue or using a low temp on your iron going over it. The butcher paper type shopping bags can be deconstructed to give you a heavier sheet of paper. O course there are always newspapers or corregated cardboard that you can then peel of the top layer off. If you are making patterns for the same piece of clothing you can always translate it to thee plexi-glass used for picture frames. It can be cheaper to get these sheets at the charity thrift shops where they may have large picture frames for artwork. scratch the pattern into the plastic sheet and then very carefully use a razor edge to cut through the plastic. it does have a tendency to crack.
So happy with this tutorial! You give very clear directions with valuable explanations. Much appreciated. I’m subscribing and looking forward to the sewing tutorial! Thank you
Hi Kim I am very new to pattern making. I would like to see the whole process from measuring the body, apply it on the pattern paper , cut it with fabric, sewing, and final garment. Thank you
Priscillia, I really enjoy watching your videos, because your instructions are clear and make sense to me. I had a question, though, about fitting ease. How much ease do you add to your patterns? Thanks very much!
Hi, great pattern making ability. Very clear and instructive. Just a little question tho. Maybe the hem part should be the same lenght from waist front to bottom front, as waist side to bottom side when the skirt is this wide at the bottom no? Then trace à curve to connect those 2 point? It will permit to avoid the side to be longer than the front. Sorry if it is rude from me to make this comment. Anyway great video and great content.
Thanks for the tutorial! How would you incorporate a circle skirt with this pattern instead of a-line? Cut the skirt separately and no darts? Maybe a band between the two?
All I can do is say GRACIAS. YOU HAVE NO IDEA. You have done with your tutorials what no other instructor got me to do . Understand how to do it. Please know I am really grateful and bless you.

Thank you. I get my paper from Amazon amzn.to/3Q4DWT0
Priscillia, I really enjoy watching your videos, because your instructions are clear and make sense to me. I had a question, though, about fitting ease. How much ease do you add to your patterns? Thanks very much!
Thanks Rachel. For ease, it depends on the design and type of fabric I’m working with, but half an inch (2.5cm is safe place to start)

Thanks for the tutorial! How would you incorporate a circle skirt with this pattern instead of a-line? Cut the skirt separately and no darts? Maybe a band between the two?
