Very nice. I'm not really into the whole 'cottage core'/ruffles/puff sleeves thing, so I'm glad, you did a more clean and elegant design, this time. Your drafting instructions seem very clear and easy to follow. Looking forward to trying this on the weekend.
Omg, I just found this Channel, I don't have a lot of knowledge on sewing and sometimes I saw videos to try to made what I saw. but this Channel is in another level, thank you so much
GENIUS !! This dress is just super cute !! And the fact that in 11 mn 11s you show us how to make a pattern, sew the dress with the hem is 👌🏾👌🏾 Thank you very much madame !! 💙💙
I was looking for a dress I can make to wear this Saturday because we will go swimming amd I found this. Thank you! This is the second dress I'm making from your tutorials. More power!
About to make this one today! So excited! Thank you Jess for such easy to understand and beautiful videos ✨ Asking Jess and the community: do you think it would come out well in a longer version? Like a midi length? Has anyone tried it?
It's a beautiful dress , a big thanks to you for making it easier for me I'm on beginning stage and I've tried fitted midi skirt and high waisted wide leg pants of your and it came out pretty well and i'll try this one too , its little hard for me to understand the pattern on single sheet , i'll try to cut it on different sheets .
Jess...you never seize to amaze me ....this dress is beautiful and cute all wrapped up in one...I really love the colour and can see myself rocking this dress...what more can i say...another master piece well done👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Beautiful dress, and great tutorial! Loved and you are very clean and make everything super easy. I will try this definitely. Brasilian fan ❤🇧🇷. I am just confused, how to unsew and keep everything togheter? I am still leaning. It's just necessary another reverse stitchs?😂
Jessie, thank you sooo much! can't express enough how grateful I am to u for sharing your designs and explaining everything so clearly! Going to make this dress in 2 colors. cheers
Great video! Very straightforward. Only thing I don't understand is the very end. You say to un-sew part of the side seam to create a hole for the tie. Wouldn't that leave a raw edge? And there's no backstitching to keep the hole from getting bigger. Can you clarify? I'm sure I'm misunderstanding something. I'm still very new! Thank you!
Hii Jess this is so beautiful. Also please upload the Marie Antoinette dress please look into it. And also upload Disney Princess dresses please please🙏🙏🙏🙏.
If I wanted to start? Where would you recommend starting as far as learning how to sew? What would be some examples of smaller projects before this one?
If u want to start really small u could try pillow cases and things like that but if u want to start making clothes then I recommend making tank tops. Depending on what tutorial u use they can be really easy
Yeah, I think it depend on which level of the beginner you are. If you just bought a sewing machine and have no experiences before, I think going with some small project like pillow case, drawing string bag,.. will help you get to know your sewing machine better. Then you can start with making some clothes for yourself. You can start with some thrift flip from your old clothes that you don't wear anymore. You can check out some of my t-shirt transformation to follow along. Some of them are very basic and beginner friendly.
do u have a favorite website for fabrics? or 1 you could recommend with affordable prices? i usually get mt fabrics from Wal-Mart or joAnns , someone's even thrift store has some
How long is the inside front tie? I’ve watched the video a few times but can’t work it out. Already made my pattern pieces and about to cut out my fabric 😍
I really love your all the videos and I have made 2,3 dresses by watching your video. Thank you so much for the videos.🥺❤️❤️. I wanna say you something, can you please make blazers too on next video? 👉👈🥺❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm making this dress right now because it's lovely. Just one question: how long is the tie you cut? Thanks a lot!!
It's around 40cm for the short one and double for the long one

Lindo maravilhoso 👏❤️
Beautiful dress, well done! What alterations would you suggest for a fuller bust? Darts?
Yes, you can make a dart at the side of the dress, right under the armpit to increase the area for the bust.
Love this so much! Thanks for the tutorial Jess 😊 would it be possible to do a DIY work clothing series?
I'll try to check it out soon. As my work doesn't need to wear work clothes, I need to see which one will be good for it first :)
do u have a favorite website for fabrics? or 1 you could recommend with affordable prices? i usually get mt fabrics from Wal-Mart or joAnns , someone's even thrift store has some
Sorry I don't buy fabric only that often as I prefer to see and touch the fabrics before buying

Hi Jess, I feel like I’ve missed the tie measurements - do you have these or is it your waist size + 2cm? Thanks!

It's around 40cm for the short one and double for the long one

Is there a way to add ruffles to the bottom of the dress?🤔
Yes you can! Add thee ruffle from the tie position down to the end of the dress
