I decided to use the leg of mutton sleeve for my wedding dress. I actually bought a very expensive wedding dress (originally 2,000.00) from David’s bridal going out of business sale during the summer and got it for a couple hundred dollars. Decided to take it apart and re design the upper torso part for a better neck line and took the sleeves off and made it look REALLY princessy with leg of mutton sleeves. I used a very nice stretchy satin polyester fabric so that the forearm area is nice and snug and the shoulder is very puffy and gives the illusion of it being somewhat inflated. I then took the tulle and lace from the original wedding dress design and layered it on the puff and on the torso, over the ivory satins. It came out so beautiful, my inspiration was the dress from Labyrinth but with my own little originality to it. I also added a corset backing to the dress with a modesty panel, and the lace has been beaded and sequined too. It’s actually very difficult to find formal dresses or ball gowns or wedding gowns with this sleeve design. It was so popular back in the 80s and early 90s and my aunts wedding dress from 1993 had sleeves like this. I wish they were back in style because todays wedding dresses are so boring looking off the rack. I wanted my wedding dress to make me feel like a princess, so I even wore a hoop skirt under it and felt like Giselle from Enchanted when I finally put it on! I remember Ariel in the cartoon Little Mermaid also had mutton sleeves on her wedding dress!
Wow, your wedding dress sounds absolutely stunning! I love how you put so much thought and creativity into designing it. It must have been such a special feeling to wear something so unique and princessy on your big day!
Great video, Thank you for sharing! 🙌 just wondering where i can find the video where you are making that amazing neon Green / yellow sweater that you have inserted 9:48 min into your video. It is exactly the one i’ve been wanting to make🤗
So that is my sweatshirt pattern with this sleeve made for it. You can get the pattern with the normal sleeve here and then make it into this one. anastasiachatzka.com/collections/digital-patterns/products/sweatshirt-digital-pattern-download?variant=43687428423986
I just followed every step you gave and drafted the HUGE Leg O Mutton Sleeve pattern. Thank you for such details, and I may put them on everything now, LOL! Can you use the same (or very similar) pattern for each top or jacket? I don't want to do all that for "each one" now that I have "the one" LOL! If that makes sense? Thank you again, @sewanastasia ! Followed on IG also xoxox
Absolutely loved this tutorial, but I’m a super noob at all of this. Can you make one or more videos showing ways to actually sew sleeves in? So many tutorials say “Attach the sleeves” and I’m always like “But how?” Thank you!
Dear Anastasia, as you know, not only do they see you in your country, so activate the subtitles so that more people understand what I teach, I think that will turn into more followers, don't you think? Un saludo desde México

I’d love to see how you sew it for a finished product (new to sewing so I really need to see step by step!)
You can do it by gathering it or pleating it into the armhole. I will add it to my list of tutorials.

How do you sew it
You can pleat it or gather it.
Can you share how to sew it?
I can .
Hello I how do I turn hip waist jeans into hip huggers I’m short and every style of pants are high waisted I hate it 😢
Madam please tell me center distance?
Show how to sew
2:26 But *why* 6 inches ?
You can make it any number. Bigger the number bigger the sleeve!
It doesn’t really explain what changing the number to the different points do. Saying a precise number only works with a certain size.

What?
