My only regret is that I started watching darts too late and never see this legend play live, i don't know how many times I saw his match va paul nicholson in the player championship semi final
You sir are by FAR the best darts reviewer on TH-cam ...I'm from the UK and I have to say the way your set up is followed by the information provided on the darts then onto the feel of the darts..points ..grips stems everything is covered by you sir ....then being the skill level you have really finishes the videos off superbly...your channel has gone from great to amazing in a short space of time and your always looking to improve it ...Im sure the thousands that follow you have improved their darts and enjoyed their collections ...I also highly recommend your channels reviews in the cheaper darts that most of the time are better than the expensive ones and the fact you point out the pros and cons of all darts ...a honest reviewer ...all I have to say is thankyou to you sir and your channel ....another amazing review I may try these and come away from a straight barrel dart mix it up a bit
Man, I don’t know if it’s the new camera, lighting, or you learned new editing tricks, but the clarity in the last few videos is a big leap forward, this video especially. For the stems, the Cosmo setup looked the best. I think any carbon material stem with the matte black finish will work, though some of them (looking at you, L-style) are actually more expensive than the target replacements. But hey, at least you have options unlike the infamous Bottlesen Hammer Head GT stems!
Thanks Zolto. I was LONG overdue to step my game up. Yes, I forked out a lot of cash for new cameras, tripods and adjustable lighting. Problem is, you have a dummy operating all the stuff. I'll figure out proper settings as I go but it will 100% improve for future videos. For example... it bugged me in this video that for the stats and dimensions only the first dart was in focus. But I suppose the close up in the next clip more than made up for it. I have to admit, that was a decent close up for a darts channel. Work in progress I suppose. Thank you for the feedback and comment though. It's truly appreciated. 👍🏻
It's the content of your videos for me not how they look . because I can't tell any difference in quality cozz i using a old 5 inch phone but its all good stuff
So GRATEFUL for the reviews and extremely excited to see pictures of subscriber's arrows! Thanks for all the great content! Jay throws Cricket in under 16.
Missing throw back Thursday, been busy trying to get the new dart shop off the ground. Looks like it’s time for some Worldwide video bingeing. Keep on keepin on! 👍🏻
10 out of 10 on the review, solid mention of Squircle! (haha I was prepared to give you guff over the review had you not mentioned squircle!) Great vid as always, these things are so sweet looking. The sub 30sec has me even more intrigued on the idea of SwissPoints. I need to pull the trigger one day. The 8 flight system looked the best in my opinion (other than the default), shape kind of flowed nicely. The small flights are silly looking though. Not just size, but they match horribly.
Really great review you put together! Lots of detail and information. These are an awesome looking set of darts. I've never thrown a barrel like that and they don't have nearly enough grip for me but dang they are nice! I would definitely love to throw those! These go for around 205 dollars Canadian with tax at a local dart shop so I'd much rather win then! Thank you for giving all of us a crack at it!
I was throwing league last night and one of the darters had a set of these, 26 g. It was like throwing a pen, albeit a HEAVY pen, with a gel grip. It didn't feel bad at all. As you said they are kinda short, front heavy. Nice set of darts though and throw well. Great video sir and honest. Keep up the great reviews.
Really nice review here! For starters you know I am not the biggest fan of Swiss Points personally but hey to each his own. I did however like the longer points you put on. Secondly the shaft of these is rather bizarre. It’s like they extended the barrel milling onto the shaft so I bet these shafts are costly. I really didn’t like the look of any of the other shafts but if pressed I would say the Condor Axe may be my second choice but they did indeed look funny. I would stick with the original shafts only. Phil’s flights have always been super aggressive and small and for me and many others are hard to control them. Overall I would agree that these are my favorite set of Phil Taylor darts put out by Target. Some lucky winner will be getting a very nice set of darts. Best of luck to everyone entered!
Great point about the stock stems. ANY other stems on these darts takes away from how amazing they look stock. Really beautiful set of darts though, so nice looking!
Like that there's a little less craziness that some generations from a distance, but still some lovely details up close. Always loved the look of those bulbous nosecones.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a shop where you could go in and "try before you buy". I prefer a light short (17gm) barrel, there are quite a few about, but some of them are far too expensive to buy and find they are not for me. Just ordered Red Dragon 17gm Featherlight, as £20 UK is not too much of a gamble. Great channel by the way, really enjoyable to watch and really informative.
Thanks Stewart! Yeah, a local dart shop would be nice. I'm in central NY and I have no idea where the closest shop would be. Somewhere around 100 miles away. Thankfully darts are a lot cheaper in the UK but a try before you buy would be nice.
Worldwide; Really nice review. Love the look of the darts. I question the overall coating and mini multi rings at the front of the barrel; to me both these will wear quickly and detract from the overall look and feel of the darts. For the price, the weighting of the darts is also a negative. Thanks and keep the reviews rolling.
I agree 100%. I think these will look beat after just a month or so of constant use. A smooth nose cone would also help protect flights. These things are going to eat your expensive flights. The coating took a beating too. A few scuffs after the review and in warm ups I wasn't grouping them.
I used the 23 UNICORN John lowes since mid 80s. Then when Phil Taylor changed to a copy of Lowes darts I changed to Phil's 26g. Ten years ago I went to the 28g. Now he joined Target and I liked their design, but not enough to change..... Until I saw the Powerninefive GEN 7 26g.... So beautiful I bought a 26g. 😊
Three words.. wow wow wow! They are some sexy looking darts. The cosmos looked better. But it was a "best of a bad bunch" scenario in my opinion. I was so glad when you put the original stems back on. They look like they're worth every penny. Thanks dude. Keep up the good work 👌
@@WorldwideDarts I totally get your comment on the inconsistency of the the throws. I got the gen 2 a few years ago. I'd feel a sweet 60 go in. Then hit a wild 1 or 5. I feel that these are taylor made to Phil Taylors throw. Which is great. But it's kind of sad that people waste money on darts because of the brand name that comes with them. When they could probably throw better with 3 chop sticks 😂 there more of a collector item. As apposed to an actual game dart. Still sexy though
I’m not surprised with the rating score and I think it’s deliberate the way they’ve made the stems only look right with the stock setup to make you buy more of the same ($$$). HOWEVER I think these look amazing and I’d love to own them myself. Great stuff WWD 👍🏻
Well you know I love em! Just hit a 164 checkout with my gen 7s last night in league 😏 great video I think these look like the best yet. Looking forward to the giveaway 😊 thanks Worldwide 💥
on minute 17:05 you say that 35mm on any dart make everything better.. what do you mean exactly by that? i use 26mm points at the moment. can you explain that? :)
For most players... keyword "most"... a longer point allows for much tighter grouping. Especially with near 8mm wide darts as seen in the video. Personally I play with a very slim dart and I prefer 26mm points simply because of how I grip the dart. I wish I could use longer points though. Keep an eye on most of the top players in the world. The trend is to use much longer points.
I did like your Cosmo flight set on those darts. I agree that they look like a novelty item when you first had them in your hand on camera.😂 I don’t think I would be willing to drop a Benjamin on those. Thank you for your great reviews.
Thanks Mark. I truly believe these have become more of a collectors item nowadays. I can't imagine too many serious players using them as match darts. It's a bizarre set of darts
Hello mate. I know it's been a year since you reviewed these darts, but can you remember if the grip is a non-slip type of feel? I know you gave it a 2.7 level, but ratings are usually done on aggressiveness and not non-slip. Cheers mate. Appreciate your vids!
The coating made for a really nice feeling grip on this set. Honestly though... if you're looking for this type of dart I would HIGHLY recommend the Yaoyeah Sloth darts. Those things were absolutely amazing! I did a review on them last month. www.yaoyeahdarts.com/
@@WorldwideDarts - appreciate the link but the website won't actually allow me to tap on the darts tab to view them...? But in all honesty - I'm completely sold on the Swiss Points. So that means that Target have a customer for the foreseeable! 😂 I'm not dead-set on The Taylor Gen 9, but Amazon UK are currently selling them for £79.95, so thought I'd look into them. The 41mm length barrels are a turnoff though. I struggle with my finger and thumb slipping off the barrels and have gone through 14 different sets of darts in 15 months searching for ideal grip. I'm also looking at the Barney 25's because of the sandblasted barrel. It's actually sandblasted on the grip as apposed to something like the Bolide models that have sandblasting on the barrel where your fingers don't touch, but again - slightly put off by the price of the 25s!
i don't know if i would keep those micro flights, but as far as the rest of the setup goes, i would love to mess around with that. and that box, never knew that box had mini picture making up his face. that was a nice little touch. shame of the weight tho but i doubt that i could tell the difference when using them.
Spot on! Not many players could use these flights. I also 100% agree with the weight. Nobody would ever notice 1/10th of a gram. It's honestly not that big of a deal but if a company is going to advertise how awesome their match weight is I'll call them on it every single time when it's not
Reminds me of my very first darts - Harrows ACE brass rubber coated darts. Although I’ve graduated to thin straight barrel darts, I threw and still throw the ACE darts so well. My first hat trick and 180 with them. Why? The grip is amazing.
The supplied G9 shaft looks the best followed by the carbon stem. Maybe a clear stem or clear Axe Flight does look good. 🤔 I also still hope for Swiss Storm Points. 😅
I have a gen4, those Vapor S flights i replaced with Ten-x flights, bigger flights i personally find ugly on those mini darts. And with the ten-x flights the darts fly good for me, the Vapor S did not fly like i wanted for me. For people that like longer shafts, normally they also sell medium titanium shafts for each gen. The only setup i found good except the official was the cosmo, that did not look cheap at all.
I'm not too much bothered by looks if the dart works well but with these barrels it really cheapens the look to use something other than stock. I think the Taylor darts are more of a collectors item nowadays though. Not many are seriously going to play with his darts
being from switzerland, I always ask myself if "swiss points" have something to do with switzerland. maybe a reference to the swis army knife? anyways, nice video, nice edits, nice content ✌️😎🇨🇭🎯
Definitely agree with you if you change the stems then the dart look small and crappy honestly original stems or nothing wich makes me think some kinda ploy to get you spend more money maybe I'm wrong but those titanium shafts are not cheap thanks again for the great content always amazing
Beautiful review. Best out there. ❤ can i ask for your opinion. Which one is the best swiss point dart for you? Taylors, bunting or rvb. Or do you have any other suggestions. Thanks and more power.
Out of the versions you reviewed this seems to be by far Phil Taylor’s best overall set, real intriguing dart. I cant say For sure about the grip factor but based off the look appears to be such a comfortable feeling dart! Regardless on who is gifted this beautiful set I can see them enjoying it. Another great and honest review!Keep up the good work!!! Also maybe you can do some fun shorts on progression of developing your dart throwing, im struggling as of lately on grouping and accuracy and any amount of knowledge is good knowledge
I know some Target darts are made in China. Are these darts made there as well? Just off on the weight makes me curious. I'm also curious, after playing with them consistently for a few months with tight grouping, if the micro grip on the front wears down. A nice looking dart. I'm sure some will enjoy them.
I do believe they're made in China. I'll double check when I get home and get back to you. But yes, I think these will look like trash in a month or so. The nose cone will get hammered.
Do you know if in the US the Red Dragon Featherlite 5 in 10 g are still in the shops?I want them to make your Frankensteins.Good Video and a great dart from the greatest Dartplayer ever.
I was wondering how they looked with other setups and right after that thought you showed us. Love the stock setup but being that gray color I don’t think your going to find a better looking one. Thanks for the review !
Great overview! I can't find this information anywhere, but is Taylor playing with 26mm needles? If so, why, in your opinion? I will be very grateful for the answer 🙏
@@WorldwideDarts Can I hear your opinion why he is doing this? If 30 is really better? It's just that I completely follow his style in throwing and I want to understand. Your channel is really fantastic. Yesterday I couldn't sleep until I watched most of your videos ☺Thank you for such a job!
All things considered the match weight wasn't great especially when you compare them to these amazing sub $20 darts... th-cam.com/video/Jdfdxl1kSWo/w-d-xo.html
I've had many sets of Taylor darts over the years with my last set being the Power 9Five Generation 8. IMHO the Gen 8 look amazing, but in the end fly like a brick. The coating got banged up pretty quick and the aluminum tops need to be replaced far too often. I would think Gen 9s wouldn't be a significant improvement to justify the price. Old habits are hard to break, but I won't be buying another set of Taylors. Just too much for what you get. I think if you're going to be promoting a product, you should be actively competing with them for the world to see them in action. This is just my opinion and In the end, it's a personal choice. Good luck to all that have purchased this dart :-)
Yes. If you look closely at the close up of the 180 you'll see the second dart scratch the dart already in the board. hell of a gouge. These will look like crap in a month
They make it easier to group the darts tightly. Look at the trend of long points in the PDC. These guys are using harpoons. "Better" is just personal opinion though. In soft tip you don't need long point because the segments are huge.
hmmm have this ones too(22g) my match weight is spot on 0.02g diff i dont have alot of targets dart because too expansiv but all i have, have realy good matchweight. your always unlucky with target.🤣🤣thanks for the good review😊
@@WorldwideDarts nice looking forward to it thanks you make be far the best reviews off darts in my opinion even you mess up #2 and #6 flights to often but i get it only 2mm diffrents😂🤣
They look better with stock stems that's the problem stock stems how much prob £12? For the money i would thort better match weight ...i have a dart shop 5 mins away walking distance.. lucky.. nice shop about 2 yr ago they let me try some darts phil Taylor gen 5 nice looking but couldn't hit nothing with them ended up buying target Carrera c13 can't hit nothing with them so got some Carrera c3 hit 2 180 in 2 weeks and my best out a 149 thought I've found the ones now can't hit nothing again 😀✋👍🎯
Dear friend, please tell me, this is extremely important to me. Ever since Taylor played Phase 5 and Gen 11, he's been using flying Vapor s or kite? I will be very grateful to you
@@WorldwideDarts So he has only been using Vapor since then? For some reason, it seemed to me in some videos that the flight uniform was kite. Or was I mistaken?
Honestly I don't think they look bad with the Cosmo setup at all. I have to agree with you for the others though it really makes the dart look a lot cheaper
There a beautiful set and yeah you are correct target imo has the worst match weighting out of all the companies and for over $100 idk if it’s good enough
Spot on! For $100 it would be nice to have something NOT a full 1/10 of a gram off. It's something you'd never notice but still. Personally I honestly don't think it's a big deal but if a company is going to brag about their match weight being within +/- .05g I'm going to call them on it.
Great set. Taylor's are the only darts I can throw.. anything longer than 38mm on barrel and my dart flops everywhere. That's with short stems on with standard size flights. Incredibly pricey :( I've had to pay anywhere from $130 to $170. For 4 years of leagues I tossed the gen 3,4 and 5's with 3s being the longest
@@WorldwideDarts lol I shop at the place you've made vid disliking 🤣 simply because they're a 15 minute drive away. But I've won some nice stuff there in the past via raffles to ease the pain of darts cost. I'm in California
@@Roadsurfer2k11 Ah, that makes sense. I was going to say, these are probably his most expensive set yet and I can get them for £77 ($91usd) shipped from Double Top Darts and have them in my hands within a week.

Do the longer points come with the darts?
No, I bought those separately.
Still here supporting you WWD 👍
Cheers bud! I appreciate it 👍🏻
What's the grip on the Harrow's Wolfram
Beautiful review. Best out there. ❤ can i ask for your opinion. Which one is the best swiss point dart for you? Taylors, bunting or rvb. Or do you have any other suggestions. Thanks and more power.
Thanks. Have a look at this recent video... th-cam.com/video/8cNCA0sfREU/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Anthony. I just had a new tripod show up so there's going to be a ton of awesome and different Shorts videos coming to the channel.
@@WorldwideDarts great I’m stoked, love what you’re doing with the channel such a great asset to the dart community!
Sorry, I haven't seen the Featherlites for sale anywhere in over a year or so
@@WorldwideDarts Thank you for the answer.I hope that I find them anywhere in the future.
I really don't know what to think about those. But anyway a good review as always.
I was wondering how they looked with other setups and right after that thought you showed us. Love the stock setup but being that gray color I don’t think your going to find a better looking one. Thanks for the review !
Cheers Corby. I think it's fun switching things up a bit for a review because so many of us would do the same in real life. 👍🏻
Anybody knows if this is the same setup phil used himself? I have a feeling he used longer stems and bigger flight or not?
Love the vids 🎯
Great overview! I can't find this information anywhere, but is Taylor playing with 26mm needles? If so, why, in your opinion? I will be very grateful for the answer 🙏
Yes, Taylor uses regular 26mm Swiss points
@@WorldwideDarts Can I hear your opinion why he is doing this? If 30 is really better? It's just that I completely follow his style in throwing and I want to understand. Your channel is really fantastic. Yesterday I couldn't sleep until I watched most of your videos ☺Thank you for such a job!
Big fan of Phil Taylor darts have a set of gen2 .
When you put the longer points in did it take the weight up to 25gms?
No, it only raised the weight a total of .33 grams
Great review!
Thanks!
I definitely thought the stems were part of the dart at first, kinda freaked me out seeing them removed lol
Regarding 'match weighing': compared to the leaflet in the video that shows '22.1 grams +/- 0.05 g', they are actually not that far off...
All things considered the match weight wasn't great especially when you compare them to these amazing sub $20 darts... th-cam.com/video/Jdfdxl1kSWo/w-d-xo.html
@@WorldwideDarts Very true as well. Keep up the great reviews! 👍
I think you're spot on with everything you said here. Totally agree 👍🏻
Love those darts!!!
Yes please & thank you
They all look good.
I’m new to your channel what do you think about the red Dragon 20 g razor edge darts can you get them in 19 g in steel tip , keep booming
I bought the gen8 Darts after a few 180/140 throws the coating is completely damaged. Is this the same for the gen 9? The look terrible
Yes. If you look closely at the close up of the 180 you'll see the second dart scratch the dart already in the board. hell of a gouge. These will look like crap in a month
@@WorldwideDarts the are crap in 5 days 😁 the grip is less and i bought these for the lovely grip
Why do longer points make a dart better? Also then, does that logic hold true for soft tip darts? I wouldn’t think so.
They make it easier to group the darts tightly. Look at the trend of long points in the PDC. These guys are using harpoons. "Better" is just personal opinion though. In soft tip you don't need long point because the segments are huge.
I don't understand you say they're the least grippy darts then you say grips great in the throwing demo, so which is it?
I prefer a dart that isn't too grippy. So the lack of grip is great for me.
hmmm have this ones too(22g) my match weight is spot on 0.02g diff i dont have alot of targets dart because too expansiv but all i have, have realy good matchweight. your always unlucky with target.🤣🤣thanks for the good review😊
There's good news coming. Next set is PERFECT! 👍🏻
@@WorldwideDarts nice looking forward to it thanks you make be far the best reviews off darts in my opinion even you mess up #2 and #6 flights to often but i get it only 2mm diffrents😂🤣
Just owned them 22g let's see 😁
They look better with stock stems that's the problem stock stems how much prob £12? For the money i would thort better match weight ...i have a dart shop 5 mins away walking distance.. lucky.. nice shop about 2 yr ago they let me try some darts phil Taylor gen 5 nice looking but couldn't hit nothing with them ended up buying target Carrera c13 can't hit nothing with them so got some Carrera c3 hit 2 180 in 2 weeks and my best out a 149 thought I've found the ones now can't hit nothing again 😀✋👍🎯
wonderful darts
Dear friend, please tell me, this is extremely important to me. Ever since Taylor played Phase 5 and Gen 11, he's been using flying Vapor s or kite? I will be very grateful to you
Back in the day Taylor used slim flights. Then when he joined Target he helped create the Vapor flights which he's used ever since
@@WorldwideDarts So he has only been using Vapor since then? For some reason, it seemed to me in some videos that the flight uniform was kite. Or was I mistaken?
@GolfClashNick Watch the 2007 PDC final between him and RvB. Both of them using slim flights
@@WorldwideDarts Slim are the ones that still come with the Phase 5 darts?
@@WorldwideDarts Is the size of the Gen 11 flight the same as all Taylor darts before? Or are they smaller due to the small size of Gen 11?
why does this video come later than the give away video
I go with the most exciting video first. I care about my subscribers. I ALWAYS put them first.
@@WorldwideDarts ok thank you
Honestly I don't think they look bad with the Cosmo setup at all. I have to agree with you for the others though it really makes the dart look a lot cheaper
Stock stems look the best
Fuckin love this channel
There a beautiful set and yeah you are correct target imo has the worst match weighting out of all the companies and for over $100 idk if it’s good enough
Spot on! For $100 it would be nice to have something NOT a full 1/10 of a gram off. It's something you'd never notice but still. Personally I honestly don't think it's a big deal but if a company is going to brag about their match weight being within +/- .05g I'm going to call them on it.
How to order that ? And how much?
Its very expensive
I'm not in favor of the stem and flight. I like the length though.
Great set. But to expensive for me...
正。準繩度十足就好在鏢頭裝上GPS
can you make a gen 11 rewiew 😊
Yes, soon. I wanted to wait until things got REALLY busy here on TH-cam. Mid Dec 👍🏻
@ thank you 😊
Low score but understandable. I’ve got to give that style of barrel a try one of these days. Great review!
you should buy the KingRodge customs and review them lol
Can I pretend they're KOTO's? 😂
Dam great vid shame about the weight
Today's upload (RVB95) made up for it 👍🏻
👏
Target makes a far superior dart than unicorn products,
That's up for debate
Phil definitely opted to have G9 on the barrel because it looks like 69
10/10
I already know those little flights won't work for me. I hate tail down darts and there's no way those are standing up.
Why so much $$$? The Taylor darts are expensive but not that expensive. Is that Canadian $?
@@WorldwideDarts lol I shop at the place you've made vid disliking 🤣 simply because they're a 15 minute drive away. But I've won some nice stuff there in the past via raffles to ease the pain of darts cost.
I'm in California
@@Roadsurfer2k11 Ah, that makes sense. I was going to say, these are probably his most expensive set yet and I can get them for £77 ($91usd) shipped from Double Top Darts and have them in my hands within a week.
24g
Wrong video. The giveaway video
Don't feel bad...Peter Wright couldn't throw them either.
Swiss point broke easly Bad bad
I've seen a set of these after only 2 weeks light use and they look horrible unfortunately
If you look close at the close up 180 at the end, the second dart gouges the first dart pretty good. These will look REKT after a month
😍🤩❤️🧡💛💚💜🤎🤎🖤🤍♥️💘💝💖💗❣️
