Yeah, Rogue One wasn't an insult (maybe because of the temporal setting?) but everything made after Return of the Jedi - and yes, this absolutely includes the prequels - has been unmitigated garbage. (That the prequels are viewed as decent now is only a reflection on how terrible the Kennedy stuff is. The prequels are not good movies.)

AND tell all your Conservative friends to divest from Blackrock. If people who disagreed with DEI took their money out of every investment firm that pushed it, that would leave them with 80% less assets-under-management. It would utterly destroy them, and DEI along with it.
BlackRock for example gets a lot of money for being invested in companies that have government contracts and the last few years went heavy into the renting market. They can continue to throw away millions to billions for tax write offs as their coffers are continually being replenished.

EVERYTHING changed after 9/11. So I understand for some, they don't understand the lost of Star Wars, why it hits GenX so hard. Also other cultural issues. To answer your question, NO, I will never buy any Disney Star Wars.
@@leoSaunders Well you just have George anounce that the sequel trilogy is an alternate universe SW timeline which is not connected to his universe and then Favreau and other people can continue on as if this sequel trilogy didn't even exist. It's not hard because many popular things remove some stuff from Canon. Eg Dragon Ball GT is not canon. Macross 2 is not canon to Macross franchise. (becuase Shoji Kawamori the creator of Macross wasn't even asked permission for that to be made) Anything that is a "filler episode" in anime is not canon. (we all know filler episodes was merely made up for the tv show so it wouldn't catch up too quickly to the manga core stories that the tv show is based on. Filler episodes just cause the tv show to slow down so if you watch an anime and skip all filler episodes you don't miss anything vital to the main story and get a more accurate version which is faithful to the manga) It's easy man. And when you consider nobody is watching star wars, nobody will be confused since they will have forgotten the sequel trilogy was real and think it was the mandella effect. (ie it was false memory) You got to remember: we as fans decide what is canon based on whether we buy the merch and whether we think something is cool enough. Harley Quinn from the Batman animated series was a character made only for the batman cartoon but over time because of popularity this character eventually became canon as Joker's GF in the comic book universe. In Transformers there is a character called Windblade made by fans of the Transformers who is now canon character in the official Transformers IP. So at the end of the day if something sucks and people reject it, they can just say it didn't exist and was alternate universe.
I grew up a Star Wars fan, and now... I just want to see it burn to the ground. I don't care if they bring back Luke, they made Obi Wan into a pathetic joke, the show wasn't even about him, it was about the black chick. Just as they destroyed Mando, by making it the Bo Katan show. If they made a show about Luke, he'd be pathetic, they'd make a female character that made him look incompetent, and it would just be more woke garbage. They would have to fire Kathleen Kennedy, and issue an apology for all the damage she'd done. They will do neither, because everything they say is a lie. Contrary to popular belief, the Mortis Trilogy is the Star Wars Story retold in allegory, the whole story recognizable if you've already seen Star Wars. The Daughter is the Jedi Order; the Son is the Sith Order, and the Father is the Jedi High Council. The planet itself is the galaxy. The dagger of Mortis is the Clone Army. If you watch all 3 episodes again, you should recognize the events of The Phantom Menace, especially from the moment that the Daughter, represented by Qui Gon Jin of the Jedi Order, approached Anakin with questions about his identity as "the Chosen One" [on Tatooine]. Then She wanted to take Anakin to her Father, (Jedi High Council), to answer that question about Anakin's identity; but she was suddenly in danger by a rockslide that she afterward claimed was her brother, that is, the Sith represented by Darth Maul. Anakin, who, through winning a pod race so that the ship the Jedi arrived in could be repaired, saved the Daughter from the Sith assault. Anakin afterward met the Father, (the Jedi High Council); and the Sith, (Palpatine), kept showing interest in Anakin throughout the deadly storm (of Clone War) that arrived on the planet, that is, the galaxy. Anakin proved with the rest of his life that he had a powerful mastery of the Force, both as Jedi then as Sith. Remember when, in Revenge of the Sith, Mace Windu and other members of the Jedi Council realized that Palpatine was Sith and they tried to end his career, but Palpatine struck down the present Council members? That's what happened in Altar of Mortis. The Father said, 'I see now that you're Sith, and I have to stop you.' And the Son immediately attacked the Father, incapacitating him, not killing him. The Son then used the Daughter's own weapon, a dagger, to destroy the Daughter. That was Order 66. Eventually, she took up the lightsabers again, resuming her life as a Jedi. It was through a very swift, and very sudden move that Anakin killed the Son (at the end of Return of the Jedi), so that there was balance once again; both the influence of the Jedi AND the Sith Orders were removed. Balance! The Father, (the Jedi Council through Kenobi and Yoda, the only 2 Council Members remaining after Order 66), removed himself from the existence when Kenobi and Yoda relinquished their positions and went into hiding. Notably, the Father had misunderstood the prophecy the entire time, thinking that it foretold his replacement. He had been maintaining balance, but the prophecy said that One would "restore balance." He didn't know that his Daughter would eventually die so that only the Son would have influence over the planet, thus the foretold "imbalance." When Anakin killed the Son and the "balance" was restored, that's when the Father realized that he had misinterpreted the prophecy the entire time. Anakin restored balance without replacing anyone. The Jedi High Council, throughout the prequel trilogy kept speaking of the prophecy, that One would restore balance, but there was no way for Jedi Council to understand the prophecy, because it had no idea that the Jedi Order would be wiped out, creating the "imbalance in the Force" that the Chosen would fix. (The Father maintained balance between the Daughter and Son, breaking up physical altercations so that neither one would gain mastery over the other. The language that the Jedi High Council normally used was "we're keepers of the peace." It unwittingly kept one Order from gaining mastery over the other. You even hear Anakin complain about it sometimes, that the Jedi policy seems to stop the Jedi just short of winning the war. That "peace," or "balance," lasted until Order 66.) George Lucas should have gotten an award for that one. Filoni took some liberties afterward, in Star Wars Rebels. But the Mortis story which came directly from Lucas himself, was masterful storytelling.

Good point about losing parents. When you lose one, if they're already at an advanced age, you become the parent. I have to watch out for and look after my Dad in the same way he looked after me when I was first venturing out into the world. It completely flips your worldview around when you know that you are the top of the pyramid so to speak.

I think adding luke back in as a character is a good sign but I also understand that this is a commitment to heavy and expensive VFX to make a de-aged character seem realistic especially when they play a big role. It can be done but I think audiences may not realize how expensive and time consuming that tech is, to get it to cinematic quality. It’s not a commitment that meshes well with the kind of constant rewrites and reshoots we see from modern Disney production. So that is to say I think committing to adding Luke can also lead to a big catastrophe depending on how it goes.
Anyone who knows about Abeloth knows this is going to be horrible. She is simply too powerful of an enemy to work in a movie without some BS girl-boss nonsense. Or, knowing Disney, they'll make Abeloth into a sympathetic hero and take down her brother or something. For reference, Legends Luke (who is infinitely more powerful than what we've seen in the movies) stood no chance without multiple groups of other powerful characters helping him, and even then they only succeeded in banishing Abeloth away.
I'm sorry, but at this point, anything Disney does with SW is just lost. They've left nothing but a road of potholes that attempts to retcon every inch of the prequels. Unless Disney has any hope of continuing its declining franchise, it has to look back and really address its problems before continuing forward. But that isn't going to happen, and a lot of the audience knows it. Eventually, SW will join the Willow series and Indiana Jones 5. The next question everyone will be asking is when Disney will sell off the franchise and be done with it.
This is what they do: They fuck up, lose audiences, tease original content like Luke to bring audience back, screw Luke and substitute more of their garbage. It's like dating a toxic person who promises they'll do better only to keep being toxic. It's time to break up with Lucasfilm and Disney as a whole.

This is why copyright term extension acts need to be repealed and reduced to a maximum limit of 20 years. It's baffling that Steamboat Willie's copyright length lasted an entire century when there is nothing of value to gain in the long term. If copyright extension terms do not exist today, Star Wars will be in the public domain, with many companies and fans of varying talent and expertise making their own Star Wars stories, blooming creative diversity (no, not the woke diversity one) of a galaxy far far away.
I try not to be a cancel person, but considering the disgusting, horrific crimes of Ms Leslye Headland, it's hard to imagine watching anything she was a part of.
I really hope Disney doesn't think shoehorning Luke Skywalker back into the series will actullay win back the fans they lost. Ok, so Dave Filloni has clearly lost his mind. Also, I thought that the Legends content was considered non-canon, since Abeloth is one of the main antagonists of the entire expanded universe and is also kinda hard to kill. It took the combined efforts of Darth Krayt and Luke Skywalker to even subdue her, let alone the fact that she had hundreds of avatars that Luke and his friends had to destroy as well. And even then, she still wasn't killed. Luke sent a group of Jedi to find the Dagger of Mortis because it's the only thing that can kill her. So, I guess they want to get Ashoka to be destroyed since she would be fighting against the Bringer of Chaos.
Yeah, i can agree/understand what Quimir means too when he says that. I was in an abusive relationship a few years back where i had to cut off friends and lie to my family and myself that "everything was fine." At that point, i lost myself, and so many people. I felt lost, broken, helpless, and hopeless. After finally breaking up with that person, it took me years to rebuild myself. I had to learn to bulid new friendships and rebuild some others, i had to relearn how to trust others and myself, but i honestly wouldn't have changed it since that part of my life did make me stronger and made me a better person. Once you lose everything, you either sink or swim, and i can gladly say i swam and will continue to do so.
So basically the entire series is just here to push moral relativism and denigrate the good vs evil struggle AKA George Lucas’s vision. That about right?

Agree on free after losing everything. My mom passed because of cancer. About 6 months she was almost completly stuck to the bed and I couldn't think of anything else. And I was about to graduate from university. And then it happened I felt alone and somehow free to think about university and work. And now being on my own made me more self aware and self sufficient. Now I still study in university to get higher degree and also work as a teacher in the same university. Some lessons have their price too high...
I don’t think they understand why we don’t like Star Wars now. It’s not because Luke Skywalker isn’t there, it’s because the writing is bad. If they had better written characters Luke wouldn’t be necessary because his story is over (despite having a terrible ending).

Disney's attempt to regain the fans' trust and respect by bringing back Luke is too little too late. They'll probably have an activist writer for the script, have Luke be a dumbass or weak as hell, and continue to have Ashoka's facial expression match that of a brick wall. Disney has shown no respect, care, or a damn about the source material or the fans, and now they're going "Hey we'll be bringing back Luke Skywalker, everyone loves him, Star Wars is saved" as if the fans would forgive them for making the Sequel Trilogy, the Ashoka TV show, Boba Fett show, Season 3 Mandalorian, and the Acolyte.
I think that Vernestra Rwoh, the green character, was the master of smilo when he was with the Jedi Order, since she's the only one with the whip, the scars on his back look like whip scars. That island on the unknown planet is actually the same island that Luke Skywalker is in on the sequels because it has the same layout as well as those little creatures that were on the beach are the same ones that give off the green milk when they get bigger.
This was my same beef with echo and making her a descendant of a mystical power instead of someone who worked extremely hard to become the worlds best assassin. They're making the same mistake and making the connection to the force more important than training and working hard to attain something. You should be better at something because you trained or worked hard and saying otherwise is why a lot of kids no a days give up on things quickly instead of working at it and becoming better.
When i was younger and enjoyed fanfiction. I *regret* telling fanfic writers they make better stories than the show runners (in regards to SVTFOE). Fanfiction writers are now writers for Star Wars. And the franchise is suffering because of them.

Cortosis armor doesn’t work that way, the only thing it does is make armor resistant to lightsabers. It doesn’t shut them off if you put too much cortosis into the armor it becomes so weak and fragile, you could probably break it in your hands

It's not hard because many popular things remove some stuff from Canon. Eg Dragon Ball GT is not canon. Macross 2 is not canon to Macross franchise. (becuase Shoji Kawamori the creator of Macross wasn't even asked permission for that to be made) Anything that is a "filler episode" in anime is not canon. (we all know filler episodes was merely made up for the tv show so it wouldn't catch up too quickly to the manga core stories that the tv show is based on. Filler episodes just cause the tv show to slow down so if you watch an anime and skip all filler episodes you don't miss anything vital to the main story and get a more accurate version which is faithful to the manga)

You got to remember: we as fans decide what is canon based on whether we buy the merch and whether we think something is cool enough. Harley Quinn from the Batman animated series was a character made only for the batman cartoon but over time because of popularity this character eventually became canon as Joker's GF in the comic book universe. In Transformers there is a character called Windblade made by fans of the Transformers who is now canon character in the official Transformers IP. So at the end of the day if something sucks and people reject it, they can just say it didn't exist and was alternate universe.
I grew up a Star Wars fan, and now... I just want to see it burn to the ground. I don't care if they bring back Luke, they made Obi Wan into a pathetic joke, the show wasn't even about him, it was about the black chick. Just as they destroyed Mando, by making it the Bo Katan show. The Daughter is the Jedi Order; the Son is the Sith Order, and the Father is the Jedi High Council. The planet itself is the galaxy. The dagger of Mortis is the Clone Army. If you watch all 3 episodes again, you should recognize the events of The Phantom Menace, especially from the moment that the Daughter, represented by Qui Gon Jin of the Jedi Order, approached Anakin with questions about his identity as "the Chosen One" [on Tatooine]. Then She wanted to take Anakin to her Father, (Jedi High Council), to answer that question about Anakin's identity; but she was suddenly in danger by a rockslide that she afterward claimed was her brother, that is, the Sith represented by Darth Maul. Anakin, who, through winning a pod race so that the ship the Jedi arrived in could be repaired, saved the Daughter from the Sith assault. Anakin afterward met the Father, (the Jedi High Council); and the Sith, (Palpatine), kept showing interest in Anakin throughout the deadly storm (of Clone War) that arrived on the planet, that is, the galaxy. Anakin proved with the rest of his life that he had a powerful mastery of the Force, both as Jedi then as Sith.
Remember when, in Revenge of the Sith, Mace Windu and other members of the Jedi Council realized that Palpatine was Sith and they tried to end his career, but Palpatine struck down the present Council members? That's what happened in Altar of Mortis. The Father said, 'I see now that you're Sith, and I have to stop you.' And the Son immediately attacked the Father, incapacitating him, not killing him. The Son then used the Daughter's own weapon, a dagger, to destroy the Daughter. That was Order 66. The next 20-something years were "dark times" for the galaxy, since the only influence exerted upon the galaxy was that of the Sith. That was the "imbalance" that the prophecy had been talking about the entire time. Ahsoka went to prison, then afterward died from her life as a Jedi. That's included in the Altar of Mortis episode. Eventually, she took up the lightsabers again, resuming her life as a Jedi. It was through a very swift, and very sudden move that Anakin killed the Son (at the end of Return of the Jedi), so that there was balance once again; both the influence of the Jedi AND the Sith Orders were removed. Balance! The Father, (the Jedi Council through Kenobi and Yoda, the only 2 Council Members remaining after Order 66), removed himself from the existence when Kenobi and Yoda relinquished their positions and went into hiding.
Notably, the Father had misunderstood the prophecy the entire time, thinking that it foretold his replacement. He had been maintaining balance, but the prophecy said that One would "restore balance." He didn't know that his Daughter would eventually die so that only the Son would have influence over the planet, thus the foretold "imbalance." When Anakin killed the Son and the "balance" was restored, that's when the Father realized that he had misinterpreted the prophecy the entire time. Anakin restored balance without replacing anyone. The Jedi High Council, throughout the prequel trilogy kept speaking of the prophecy, that One would restore balance, but there was no way for Jedi Council to understand the prophecy, because it had no idea that the Jedi Order would be wiped out, creating the "imbalance in the Force" that the Chosen would fix. (The Father maintained balance between the Daughter and Son, breaking up physical altercations so that neither one would gain mastery over the other. The language that the Jedi High Council normally used was "we're keepers of the peace." It unwittingly kept one Order from gaining mastery over the other. You even hear Anakin complain about it sometimes, that the Jedi policy seems to stop the Jedi just short of winning the war. That "peace," or "balance," lasted until Order 66.)
George Lucas should have gotten an award for that one. Filoni took some liberties afterward, in Star Wars Rebels. But the Mortis story which came directly from Lucas himself, was masterful storytelling.

I think adding luke back in as a character is a good sign but I also understand that this is a commitment to heavy and expensive VFX to make a de-aged character seem realistic especially when they play a big role. It can be done but I think audiences may not realize how expensive and time consuming that tech is, to get it to cinematic quality. It’s not a commitment that meshes well with the kind of constant rewrites and reshoots we see from modern Disney production. So that is to say I think committing to adding Luke can also lead to a big catastrophe depending on how it goes.

Anyone who knows about Abeloth knows this is going to be horrible. She is simply too powerful of an enemy to work in a movie without some BS girl-boss nonsense. Or, knowing Disney, they'll make Abeloth into a sympathetic hero and take down her brother or something. For reference, Legends Luke (who is infinitely more powerful than what we've seen in the movies) stood no chance without multiple groups of other powerful characters helping him, and even then they only succeeded in banishing Abeloth away.

I'm sorry, but at this point, anything Disney does with SW is just lost. They've left nothing but a road of potholes that attempts to retcon every inch of the prequels. Unless Disney has any hope of continuing its declining franchise, it has to look back and really address its problems before continuing forward.
But that isn't going to happen, and a lot of the audience knows it. Eventually, SW will join the Willow series and Indiana Jones 5. The next question everyone will be asking is when Disney will sell off the franchise and be done with it.

Ok, so Dave Filloni has clearly lost his mind. Also, I thought that the Legends content was considered non-canon, since Abeloth is one of the main antagonists of the entire expanded universe and is also kinda hard to kill. It took the combined efforts of Darth Krayt and Luke Skywalker to even subdue her, let alone the fact that she had hundreds of avatars that Luke and his friends had to destroy as well. And even then, she still wasn't killed. Luke sent a group of Jedi to find the Dagger of Mortis because it's the only thing that can kill her. So, I guess they want to get Ashoka to be destroyed since she would be fighting against the Bringer of Chaos.
Nothing can save Star Wars at this point they just need to take a break from it before touching it again or better yet fire Kathleen Kennedy

Yeah, i can agree/understand what Quimir means too when he says that. I was in an abusive relationship a few years back where i had to cut off friends and lie to my family and myself that "everything was fine." At that point, i lost myself, and so many people. I felt lost, broken, helpless, and hopeless. After finally breaking up with that person, it took me years to rebuild myself. I had to learn to bulid new friendships and rebuild some others, i had to relearn how to trust others and myself, but i honestly wouldn't have changed it since that part of my life did make me stronger and made me a better person. Once you lose everything, you either sink or swim, and i can gladly say i swam and will continue to do so.

Disney's attempt to regain the fans' trust and respect by bringing back Luke is too little too late. They'll probably have an activist writer for the script, have Luke be a dumbass or weak as hell, and continue to have Ashoka's facial expression match that of a brick wall.
Disney has shown no respect, care, or a damn about the source material or the fans, and now they're going "Hey we'll be bringing back Luke Skywalker, everyone loves him, Star Wars is saved" as if the fans would forgive them for making the Sequel Trilogy, the Ashoka TV show, Boba Fett show, Season 3 Mandalorian, and the Acolyte.
I think that Vernestra Rwoh, the green character, was the master of smilo when he was with the Jedi Order, since she's the only one with the whip, the scars on his back look like whip scars.
That island on the unknown planet is actually the same island that Luke Skywalker is in on the sequels because it has the same layout as well as those little creatures that were on the beach are the same ones that give off the green milk when they get bigger.

This was my same beef with echo and making her a descendant of a mystical power instead of someone who worked extremely hard to become the worlds best assassin. They're making the same mistake and making the connection to the force more important than training and working hard to attain something. You should be better at something because you trained or worked hard and saying otherwise is why a lot of kids no a days give up on things quickly instead of working at it and becoming better.

When i was younger and enjoyed fanfiction. I *regret* telling fanfic writers they make better stories than the show runners (in regards to SVTFOE).

Cortosis armor doesn’t work that way, the only thing it does is make armor resistant to lightsabers. It doesn’t shut them off if you put too much cortosis into the armor it becomes so weak and fragile, you could probably break it in your hands
