I’m 13 as well and me, my brother, and aunt have been obsessed with Star Wats for a long time now. We watched all of the movies, even the sequels, although they were worse than the other trilogies and also a few of the series. I 100% agree with you in this, however. Disney ruined Marvel and now Star Wars. They are slowly ruining many great stories by adding unnecessary details to them that worsen the plot. And knowing that Disney, knowing that the sequels greatly upset fans, still decided to make a new series is absolutely disappointing. I tried remaining hopeful after the sequels, hoping for something to save Star Wars but then this came. I grew up with star wars and remember spending time with my family. Our family never even touched the Acolyte. It makes me sad to think that new Star Wars fans grew up in the Disney saga. Although some Disney shows were good like kenobi and the mandolorian, these newest Disney shows do nothing but disappoint me.

If I had half a billion dollars to spend, I would buy Star Wars and make KOTOR 1 & 2 into a 6 movie series. With 4-6 being KOTOR 2. 1-3 being KOTOR 1.
You'd need much more, as Disney got the rights for Lucasfilms at $4.05 billion in 2012(half of that was in cash). Probably double that number considering the money they've made since then. But agreed, I'd make those too and make sure nobody screwed it up. I wouldn't care about mainstream audience either, it would be for the fans that deserve a respectful adaptation to forever cherish.

During the clone wars, the Jedi had to take up a militaristic role in order to protect the Republic. Outside of that they just did their monk thing and dealt with Sith. I was under the impression that Bob Iger terminated Leslye Headland's role in any future Star Wars project (and a couple Marvel ones as well) meaning there will be no 2nd season of the Acolyte. So, if this is true, it would mean that at least someone at Disney has their head on straight.
The Acolyte is not a Star Wars show. The credits state it is based on Star Wars. No other Star Wars show has said it was based on Star Wars.
The one thing that works against the whole, "women are better jedi because the Daughter is aligned with the light side and is a woman" is the existence of the Mother, the one force god banished from Mordice. The corrupted wife of the Father who was trapped in the Maw and represented such an existential threat to the galaxy that both Sith and Jedi teamed up to destroy her in the legends lore. the thing i just automatically assumed when i saw the father, son, and daughter for the first time in rebels was what you said, but i ALSO assumed that it isnt just your connection to that specific side of the force, but your will power to repel the opposing side, which is why anakin is stronger than ray, and asajj ventress is (maybe) stronger than dooku
