Thank you for posting another thoughtful video. I am 14 months out from RNY and your videos have been a great help. You should be very proud of your weight loss and for taking control of your life. How about another cooking video and/or a video with your husband? Those were wonderful. Happy New Year.

Nothing for a long time & then two videos... you spoil me. I love that you are so real and honest when you vlog. These videos were so great. I was like you where pre surgery I was like a crack addict when it came to foods I loved - especially chocolate and or ice cream - but post surgery is shockingly different. I don't crave hot fudge sundaes anymore. I can lick the spoon of my husband's sundae and be good. Or choose cut up fruit instead. I was a die hard choco-sugaraholic before and now I prefer more protein based things. Since I started flavouring plain Greek yogurt with crystal light etc, I haven't missed or even wanted a bowl of regular, full sugar, full fat ice cream. I, too, associated the holidays with the food involved. It's been interesting to navigate strange waters where food is not the focus... or not even on the radar for that matter. Anyway, thank you for sharing & your honesty. Merry Christmas to you & your hubby! Happy New Year as well! Xo

Peeling those emotional layers without depending on food...so important to learn!! Have had some dumb family drama this holiday season and my go to was always food, now that I can't do that I have far less patience with that stuff than I did before surgery. On the upside I'm down 55 lbs and staring to look pretty good! I appreciate your vlogs, love the honesty hope you had a great holiday.

Love your videos. I had the VSG 2 years ago and I am so glad I did. I sometimes wish I could eat more of certain flavors, but I wouldn't go back to the way I was for anything. I did allow myself to "balloon up" 5 lbs over the holiday weekend, but I think it's mostly water. I had a lot of salty ham. But we'll see how it goes next week when I'm back on my regular diet. Good luck in the new year - Frankensleeve.

Thanks for posting this tonight. I'm 8 days post op and had a real tough time watching everyone eat all my favourite food today. Cottage cheese was my dinner tonight and it wasn't half bad. (my teeth are just happy to be back in use again) I pealed a few layers of that "onion" today. You really hit the nail on the head tonight. Do you remember some of your favorite early post op foods that helped get you through?

Thanks for the videos! I am getting the surgery early January. I am super scared although have been waiting for it. Why didn't you do the sleeve surgery? Elli

Did you like yogurt before the surgery because I have been told dairy may become an intolerance

Great video I turn to food a lot when I am bored which is quit often and I wonder what it is going to be like after I have my surgery. I can't wait to have it, the 6 month wait is like forever. I tried to stay on my weight watchers during the holiday but it was so hard. Today after it's all over I ate a piece of chocolate candy and feel so guilty and say to myself am I going to do this after my surgery and get sick I don't know. But I do know 1 thing after watching all the video's on dumping syndrome I am petrified of that happening to me so maybe I will be to scared to eat a piece of chocolate. You look so good and I hear you about the clothes thing and that should out weigh the food issue I hope. Maybe after surgery I can just keep on trying on clothes and that will make me forget about eating. Have a great Happy New Year and keep making those video's I love watching they are an inspiration to us who have not had the surgery yet.
