I am only a couple of weeks from my 1 year surgery anniversary. I am at 149 too! I have many of the same problems with restaurants. I don't really exercise. I haven't. But, I am very happy with how everything has gone so far. I am 5'9". I was hoping to get to 145. But, this past couple of months the weight is coming off super slowly. I know that exercise will help. I am just so rushed all day long and when I finally do sit down, I fall asleep. LoL! Thanks for being one of my support people this past year. It has really helped and I wanted you to know that.
It's great to see you feeling better and I'm happy you found relief with Zoloft! Thanks for sharing the compression shirt - I had never really seen one before but I know eventually I will have to buy some once I lose all the weight. Do you still avoid drinking for 30 minutes after you eat? Thanks, Cathy
I have a million questions. I am just at the referral stage. Don't know if I will qualify or not? I am in Toronto, Ontario. Here, one needs to have a BMI of over 40 (I am 38.7). Since I have other health issues, I may qualify, since I am over BMI of 35. May I ask your age range? I am in my early 50's. Where you afraid. My family is telling me this surgery is too "drastic" of a step to take, but they don't live in my body...They are all telling me to NOT do this. My doctor referring me said it is my best choice. I have knee arthritis and the best thing to do is to get the excess weight off the knee joints. Do you work outside of your home? Could someone have surgery and return to work after 10 days or so? I don't want to miss too much work. My work is "office related". I am feeling ashamed of my self that I even have to consider this. I was once 112, and all of a sudden "OMG" where did all that lard come from??? I feel like a desperate loser. I am ashamed to tell people about this, except my closest friends. I am not "morbidly obese" but around the same weight you were. Some say I am not "fat enough" to be this desperate. BTW - I love your little "trick" to qualify. I should try it but I am afraid of getting caught...? Do you have any regrets? Would you do it again? I have more questions, but I think this is enough for now. I look forward to hearing from you again. Your videos are great. What a journey!!!! Thank you for sharing.
Ok so I have a question about food. How do you feel after eating things that ur not supposed to, like maybe chocolate? I have a torturous relationship with chocolate and I'm wondering how you would feel after eating a small portion of it? I read that eating sugar after this surgery isn't good. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us; ur awesome!
for me when i eat too much chocolate or anything really sweet about 10 mins later i feel like i've eaten a vat of warm mayonnaise and i'm going to die, lol. BUT, i did just make chocolate chip cookies today but i made them with Splenda and a lil bit of brown sugar and i felt fine. just look at the label and eat things that have a low sugar content. I also find drinking milk helps.
You look amazing! My surgeons goal for me is 150 I was thinking 165. Now after seeing how amazing you look I am aiming for 150. So I have 33 pounds to go. You look so teeny and I love that top!
Artist12682 sadly for me once I hit 9 months I didn't really lose much more. Only about 10 lbs more. Start really upping your exercise, your weight loss window is closing.
2 months and I will be on this road! Do you have excess skin other than your belly? You look amazing! Thanks for documenting and tips at first I was alittle worried if I will be able to do this but your videos will definitely come in handy! :)
For losing over 100 pounds your skin on your belly looks pretty tight. You could probably lose a couple more pounds of fat and your stomach would tighten up a bit more too, I think you lucked out pretty well in the not having much loose skin department. Have you lost more weight since this video? I would love to see how your skin is doing now.
Love and appreciate your honesty!
Thanks for the update! So happy you are doing better!

Is it so bad that you feel uncomfortable about it?

You look so pretty! Glad to see you. I'm 5'4 and have no idea what my goal weight s/b. :) I'm 8 months out and 190. Take care
at that time i was about 157, once I got out that far I didn't really lose too much more. i'm now 149.
Have you had a problem with hanging skin? I'm considering the gastric bypass and Im worried about hanging skin.
it's gonna happen to some degree. I don't think the idea of hanging skin should stop you.

woman size 4/5 pants. I carry my weight up top. I have stick legs now. 150, 5'7
