My doctor said my cyst is small and non-cancerous but it does. Abuse a lot of pain and discomfort recently in my pelvic area small sharp pain here and there. I hope it clears up on its own. I take ibuprofen and drink chamomile tea to help the pain.

I completely feel you; even now at 25 (I’ve been getting large ones since I was about 16 too) they brush it off. You really gotta learn to advocate and sometimes even demand that something be done. I will immediately ask for an ultrasound and give my history to stop them from doing all the other tests and that helps me get what I need figured out.

I had a 6.3 or larger cyst that ruptured Friday. It came on as a severe migraine which woke me out of a deep sleep I started getting sick to my stomach the pain in my head was so intense all I could do was scream bloody murder😢 they only treated me for a migraine and sent me on my way only did a cut of the head gave me pain meds and zofran. I walk out it to leave my head still pounding. And on the way out I collapse my nurse sees me does nothing. On the way home I started sweating profusely and crying not even five minutes into the ride at the light. I open my door and started puking. We had to move because the turn green. When I got home all I could do was moan for two days straight. I had no fever, but I could not stop getting sick to my stomach going number two. I had already had a ultrasound scheduled for this week so when I went to my appointment yesterday they told me that they don’t see the cyst anymore. So apparently I had a 6.3 cyst rupture. And now it’s seven days later and I’m still feeling sick to my stomach and I’m getting abdominal pain that seems to slowly get worse. My doctor has said it’ll get better in a few days ““ but I still feel sick to my stomach. I still have a lotta pain. Should I go back to the ER? Or just give it a few more days. And not worry about it. My doctor has sent a referral in for a specialist who deals with patients who have endometriosis. Omg, I'm so sorry u are dealing with this pain. I hate when doctors don't take any regards to how we are feeling in situations like this. We are forced to take matters in our own hands since the urgency is not there for them. My daughter is starting to experience these issues. I'm trying a natural approach with her. Hi My girlfriend is currently going through this as we speak. She is at the hospital now and has been for 3 nights and has had scans with nothing conclusive. She has been diagnosed with endo which took many private doctors to rightfully diagnose and now doing research it seems like she has had a ruptured chocolate cyst. Hi, I was receiving told I have multiple ovarian cysts. Large ones on the left and small on the left. It’s almost been a month of pain and nothing is helping. Went to emerg twice just get told I have cysts and to take T3s. I already take them for carpel tunnel and tendinitis in my hands and for nerve damage and now there not working for any pain. I can’t eat properly, can’t go for a walk for long, standing for more then 5mins is draining, I still have a dull pain in both sides sometimes get worse if I need to go to the bathroom and I have pain going down my legs and up my lower back. It’s pinching on a lot of nerves which is causing pain. Going to the bathroom is draining when I can go. Sometimes I can’t go. Hospital and doctors aren’t telling me much but to wait for gynaecologist which is June 30th. I don’t know if I can hang on anymore. I have two boys depending on me and doctors aren’t taking my pain seriously. This is affecting my mental health too. I got my iud out incase that was it but it’s not getting better and I can’t wear tight clothes. It’s frustrating because I have been reporting something wrong since 2019. Can anyone give advice on what I should do? Maybe it’s not serious. I don’t have family members to ask.
That’s how I feel! My OBGYN appointment is at the end of July. I don’t kno what I’m going to do after I run out of meds. I may start making some calls to surrounding OBGYNs to see if I can get an appointment sooner. My life is far from normal and I feel like I’m failing my family. WELL! Feeling how the bloating and pain receded within approximately two months made all the difference, I used what discussed the other day, well, it really took about 10 weeks for it to totally shrink and vanish. Why I am asking is I’m from Scotland uk, I waited for a smear test 2 years at the hospital I lost 3stone in weight so I decided to get my smear test done at the surgery again I passed the nurse who took me told me that’s me for another 5 years she put me throught and the hospital would know it’s been done, a week later the gynaecologist at the hospital phoned up to make my apointment we said it was pointless to cancel the apointment, so the week after I got another latter in from the nhs hospital to make an apointment I had so my mum had phoned the hospital up to check what it was after me and my parents arguing makeimg me sound stupid, the receptionist whent to see a dr and guess what that dr said it was for a smear test the one I already had so my mum told her to cancel the apointmen, now wait till you hear this another letter from the nhs gynaecologist lettered me for the same apointment for next month and guess what me and my parents argue, so one either the go nurse is lying and never told the hospital gynaecologist or the receptionist lied to us and never canceled that apointment or did to move that apoint ment first to next month, or the dr never checked up my medical records which I have which there supposed to do, so someone is lying and I could on medication and treatment for cancer because of there cock up and my life is threatened because of medical neglected and my quiet mum and my two face dad would do anything and yet the hospital finding out I didn’t have that so there was no need for it, I know I don’t have it me and my mum argue about so infact to help the backlogs in nhs you go to the local surgery and get it checked to save back log, it was the dr gp that refered me w years ago I forgot to say, now I’m going to be dragged up out of my daily life to this hospital to hear the same thing to get this apointment that I shouldn’t have and the dr that will end up takeing the test then checking up my medical records then saying it showed up clear then wasting my time then we go home or just end up doing this test withought checking up my medical records then find up there two test been done and past then they blame us for not cancelling when it’s there for one it’s the hospital they blame the covid for everything, what are they going to do if this covid gets cured blame something else excuse, then they worry us then no doubt it will like there acting like there no free will human rights and forcing you to do it not checking there patiants medical records and lying endangering human life’s, I mean how many mistakes and life’s been in danger because of nhs lies and negligence? If you stand up and get very light headed or pass out, while having a cyst or any sharp pain in your abdominal, then yes it can be. You could be internally bleeding. Don't stress, just go to the ER. Simple surgery and you'll be ok.

Yes doctors scare the hell out of me, they want to remove my entire ovarie for a 5 cm dermis cyst, I dont think they know wich side its on.

i.... every time I’ve gone to the doctor/Er (four times) for severe abdominal pain, no one cares bc im only 16 and they don’t believe me

I completely feel you; even now at 25 (I’ve been getting large ones since I was about 16 too) they brush it off. You really gotta learn to advocate and sometimes even demand that something be done. I will immediately ask for an ultrasound and give my history to stop them from doing all the other tests and that helps me get what I need figured out.
I had an hemorrhagic cyst .. it stopped hurting for months then it started. Now the pain comes and goes whenever it's ready.. idk what to do plus I've been trying to conceive and not much results.

I had a 6.3 or larger cyst that ruptured Friday. It came on as a severe migraine which woke me out of a deep sleep I started getting sick to my stomach the pain in my head was so intense all I could do was scream bloody murder😢 they only treated me for a migraine and sent me on my way only did a cut of the head gave me pain meds and zofran. I walk out it to leave my head still pounding. And on the way out I collapse my nurse sees me does nothing. On the way home I started sweating profusely and crying not even five minutes into the ride at the light. I open my door and started puking. We had to move because the turn green. When I got home all I could do was moan for two days straight. I had no fever, but I could not stop getting sick to my stomach going number two. I had already had a ultrasound scheduled for this week so when I went to my appointment yesterday they told me that they don’t see the cyst anymore. So apparently I had a 6.3 cyst rupture. And now it’s seven days later and I’m still feeling sick to my stomach and I’m getting abdominal pain that seems to slowly get worse. My doctor has said it’ll get better in a few days ““ but I still feel sick to my stomach. I still have a lotta pain. Should I go back to the ER? Or just give it a few more days. And not worry about it. My doctor has sent a referral in for a specialist who deals with patients who have endometriosis. I had a hysterectomy with my ovaries still there so there’s no other way I could tell if there was something wrong. They did an ultrasound but they couldn’t get a clear picture of my right ovary because I was in so much pain so there still could be something there but she said there was nothing to worry about, so should I be concerned
Omg, I'm so sorry u are dealing with this pain. I hate when doctors don't take any regards to how we are feeling in situations like this. We are forced to take matters in our own hands since the urgency is not there for them. My daughter is starting to experience these issues. I'm trying a natural approach with her. Probably gonna take her to a herbalist as the issues seem to be hormonal. Your situation seems dire tho. I would try to get a 2nd opinion but since they drag their feet so, I would research natural methods that could have calm it some at least for the time being. My girlfriend is currently going through this as we speak. She is at the hospital now and has been for 3 nights and has had scans with nothing conclusive. She has been diagnosed with endo which took many private doctors to rightfully diagnose and now doing research it seems like she has had a ruptured chocolate cyst. Pain started roughly a week ago with normal endo monthly cycle pain and has gradually got worse to the point where she can't eat or go to the toilet. She's had mild back pain and bad headaches and no drug is helping. Does this sounds familiar to you as we still have had no concrete answers from anyone at the hospital.

had a surgery for a cyst in my left ovary which had no symptoms. my periods for normal even when the cyst was inside my body... But it's been 3 weeks of the surgery... And 5 weeks since I have got my periods... I have not yet had my periods its been over a month. Is it normal to miss periods for a month or so after the surgery? The doctor says my reports are normal When can I get back my periods? What can I do to get my periods?
I think missing it once a month is normal. I sometimes miss my period by one month because of stress.

Hi, I was receiving told I have multiple ovarian cysts. Large ones on the left and small on the left. It’s almost been a month of pain and nothing is helping. Went to emerg twice just get told I have cysts and to take T3s. I already take them for carpel tunnel and tendinitis in my hands and for nerve damage and now there not working for any pain. I can’t eat properly, can’t go for a walk for long, standing for more then 5mins is draining, I still have a dull pain in both sides sometimes get worse if I need to go to the bathroom and I have pain going down my legs and up my lower back. It’s pinching on a lot of nerves which is causing pain. Going to the bathroom is draining when I can go. Sometimes I can’t go. Hospital and doctors aren’t telling me much but to wait for gynaecologist which is June 30th. I don’t know if I can hang on anymore. I have two boys depending on me and doctors aren’t taking my pain seriously. This is affecting my mental health too. I got my iud out incase that was it but it’s not getting better and I can’t wear tight clothes. It’s frustrating because I have been reporting something wrong since 2019. Can anyone give advice on what I should do? Maybe it’s not serious. I don’t have family members to ask.

That’s how I feel! My OBGYN appointment is at the end of July. I don’t kno what I’m going to do after I run out of meds. I may start making some calls to surrounding OBGYNs to see if I can get an appointment sooner. My life is far from normal and I feel like I’m failing my family. I went to the ER three times cuz pain was bad and no one took it serious. Last time I went I waited 4 hours and wasn’t seen. I left because chairs were making it worse and my only other option was the floor which isn’t right in my eyes and I won’t sit on there nasty dirty floor. I can’t do anything I enjoyed. I can’t walk and I love walks.
I have noticed certain foods that irritate the cyst. I had to find out what helps and doesn’t on my own. No one doctors helped and just told me there shouldn’t be pain and T3s work. I take t3 for my carpel tunnel and tendinitis. I am so sick of pills they don’t actually do anything now.

WELL! Same here. I had to go to the er for extreme pain and they just told me I had a cyst and gave me a pain shot which took the pain away. Then in the beginning of this month I had the same pain but since I knew the er wouldn’t do anything I just took the pain. It lasted a few hours and went away. Now I’m on my 3rd day of my cycle and I got the pain again yesterday and it hasn’t went away . I’m dying of pain I can’t even sit or stand to walk. It’s so horrible! Why I am asking is I’m from Scotland uk, I waited for a smear test 2 years at the hospital I lost 3stone in weight so I decided to get my smear test done at the surgery again I passed the nurse who took me told me that’s me for another 5 years she put me throught and the hospital would know it’s been done, a week later the gynaecologist at the hospital phoned up to make my apointment we said it was pointless to cancel the apointment, so the week after I got another latter in from the nhs hospital to make an apointment I had so my mum had phoned the hospital up to check what it was after me and my parents arguing makeimg me sound stupid, the receptionist whent to see a dr and guess what that dr said it was for a smear test the one I already had so my mum told her to cancel the apointmen, now wait till you hear this another letter from the nhs gynaecologist lettered me for the same apointment for next month and guess what me and my parents argue, so one either the go nurse is lying and never told the hospital gynaecologist or the receptionist lied to us and never canceled that apointment or did to move that apoint ment first to next month, or the dr never checked up my medical records which I have which there supposed to do, so someone is lying and I could on medication and treatment for cancer because of there cock up and my life is threatened because of medical neglected and my quiet mum and my two face dad would do anything and yet the hospital finding out I didn’t have that so there was no need for it, I know I don’t have it me and my mum argue about so infact to help the backlogs in nhs you go to the local surgery and get it checked to save back log, it was the dr gp that refered me w years ago I forgot to say, now I’m going to be dragged up out of my daily life to this hospital to hear the same thing to get this apointment that I shouldn’t have and the dr that will end up takeing the test then checking up my medical records then saying it showed up clear then wasting my time then we go home or just end up doing this test withought checking up my medical records then find up there two test been done and past then they blame us for not cancelling when it’s there for one it’s the hospital they blame the covid for everything, what are they going to do if this covid gets cured blame something else excuse, then they worry us then no doubt it will like there acting like there no free will human rights and forcing you to do it not checking there patiants medical records and lying endangering human life’s, I mean how many mistakes and life’s been in danger because of nhs lies and negligence? No, Ovarian cysts shouldn't be life threatening. Worst case scenario is an ovarian torsion which can cause the death of the ovary, but not much more.
If you stand up and get very light headed or pass out, while having a cyst or any sharp pain in your abdominal, then yes it can be. You could be internally bleeding. Don't stress, just go to the ER. Simple surgery and you'll be ok.
Also, don't take anything that will thin your blood, and if you do, watch for the symptoms I mentioned above.
