God I wish this car didn't always sound like fucking shit. Even straightpiped it always sounds like a fart. I never thought I'd own a 9/10 car that was held back by a nonexistant stock/terrible modded exhaust note and horrific infotainment lol. That's how I know I'm getting old.
I think the Honda Engineers were right on the money. Stock mufflers to produce a low exhaust tone is the way to go. All aftermarket exhaust sound awful. lol
Only disadvantage is not being able to free up the restriction when turning up the power. The factory system gets the job done, but does not provide max efficiency after installing intake, tune, downpipe, etc..

Couldn’t agree more. I know AWE makes great products (I’ve got a touring edition on my Jetta 1.8t and love it) but they just didn’t showcase it well. Thanks for sharing the one you did!
Tomei rules. I never heard about the Armytrix and I must say. I think they're on par with Tomei. Where as Tomei is pure raw and all mighty, Armytrix is a bit more noble and high pitched but not obnoxious like High rev miltek.
Which ones give sound but DO NOT drone kill you when you are cruising down that hiway at 70mph? I wouldn't mind more sound but I don't need to heard 3 miles away all the time and don't want it to be annoying as hell constantly.

I miss the crazy intake sound of the NA K20. I guess this is progress, but there was something special about the old K20 breathing fresh air at a million RPM. It will be interesting to see the longevity of the Turbo K20's and find out how we're paying for that extra 100hp. The NA ones were insanely reliable.

Check out dream automotive exhaust in my opinion it sounds like a proper jet . Every goal of an exhaust for a honda should be to make it sound unique from the rest bottom line . When I pass you must wonder if you should go behind it
Meh. All sound crappy like any turbo small 4 cylinder. I’d just stick with the oem and buy a whole other car for a good exhaust note. N/A and not 4 cylinder unless it’s a f20 or f22c
@@vivid_racing I have to disagree. I have a full GReddy supreme SP (HG) triple tip exhaust plus the optional 3" front and mid pipe that they offer with a stock DP. The in-cabin drone at highway speed (between 70-80mph) is unbearable. The word subjective gets thrown around a lot, but its terrible. $2k for an exhaust system that's pretty difficult to live with. It does however, sound great outside of the car. The only one that has got a lot of praise for minimal drone is the HKS Legamax

I've been driving my 2019 with RV6 hi-flo cat DP for 3-years now, currently have the AWE system with the additional resonator section up front to get rid of the horrible drone this system has with an aftermarket DP. Dropped 1" on Swift springs, I have maybe 2" of ground clearance and the resonator scrapes over everything. Shopping for new exhaust and my problem is that I don't think any of these actually sound good. Type R is just a funky sounding car...OEM exhaust sounded best, just too quiet and too restrictive due to its tubing size. I hate to sound like a suck-up, but the best I've heard so far is your new VR system. I ran across a Type R in Tenn. on the Tail of the Dragon this summer that had the VR system. Sounds the most OEM...improved OEM, and the valve system offers excellent flexibility. I looked into it and unfortunately, it's just priced out of range for me. Second best to my ears is the Invidia R400, which I can get for near half the price, so I'll probably go that route. I'll have my bang for buck build completed soon. The chassis/suspension/brakes, etc., are done. Just need to complete the power mods when the last parts arrive, and it's finished. I plan to create a video series detailing each modification I've made, the logic behind them as well as the benefit/cost (ROI). Based on my experience, I'll probably give the VR exhaust system a shout as the best of the best (IMO) for those that can afford it. It is truly an exceptional item.

This is an everyday driver, do you have any video's that have someone just cruising 60/65mph with this exhaust from inside the car? Can you comment that drone is not heard inside the car when just cruising at a steady speed?

Sometimes people are content with the factory exhaust system, and that is completely okay!

AWE features the 180 drone cancelling technology which is why it's so refined throughout the rpm range. Definitely a good choice!

Unfortunately, many owners did not like the raspy tone. They definitely do have the looks and performance though!
