These videos you've made are wonderful...thank you for taking the time to produce and upload them all! Concerning artist brush cleaning: Take a bar of Lava soap ( with pumice ), wet your brush with the appropriate solvent, then gently swirl the brush onto the soap so the bristles fan out. Do one side then the other. Rinse with water, then with the proper solvent. Flatten the bristles between your fingers and let dry. Hope that helps. I "liked" up to episode 6 and subbed.
I realize this was two years ago but your videos have inspired me to make some wood arrows and now making some more. One thing I am having trouble finding is silver or gold paint to outline cresting. Going to try some model paint and see if that works. I tried the pens but they aren’t fine enough and pressing causes uneven lines. I am trying tapered shafts for the first time they are spruce so will see how they turn out. I prefer the cedar but as of yet haven’t found that in tapered. Wish I lived closer I would love to just visit and watch a master.
I am in love with these videos! I am having a heck of a time trying to stain/crest my own arrows, (very first time), and I can't tell you enough have incredibly simple you are making this seem. Total confidence booster to keep on trying! THANK YOU!
Another Excellent informative video, this series has and is the best leaning something new every time l watch. Eagerly awaiting the next one , thanks for sharing have a great New Year 👍👍👍
Great videos! Question though: if I like the natural color of Cedar shafts can I skip staining and only seal the arrows? Or does staining help protect the arrows and improve its performance? Or is stain simply aesthetic?
Stain is simply aesthetics. You can simply seal them, they come out beautiful! Make sure you clean sand them first so they look clean. Thanks for watching.
@@addictivearchery1123do you apply that with a brush across the whole shaft and then wipe it with a paper towel to remove brush marks just like you did in this video?
Woke up melancholy, this upload fixed it.... thanks for sharing.

It seems that Daly’s water based gel stain isn’t available anymore. What would you use as a substitute? Thanks.
You can use a water based stain. Just let is completely dry before you seal it. I use True North stain. It is available on my website.
