Restoration Antique Rusty Axe

- Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. I found this old rusty axe on flea market. It's ancient axe due to I spent a lot of time to understand stamp on the axe, but there is no information. If anyone knows please write in the comments.
Restoration process:
First of all, I took the axe apart. To remove rust from the axe I used special liquid (rust remover). I leave the axe around 10 hours. Then I washed it via cleaning agent and cold water and rubbed with oil to avoid rust. I corrected the shape of the axe with a file and then I used anglegrinder machine via iron brushes.
For axe handle I used birch tree but failed two times in final step. But on the second day I successfully completed the axe handle. For ax handle I used two components paint and licensed oil.
As usual, I made test for you. I hope you will enjoy this restoration video.
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

The editing on these videos are so satisfying! The cuts are perfect and the humor is perfectly subtle.
Hey Professor, don’t sweat it; some of us know there are times when you have to make changes and we support that.
Gracias
The fu ck u talking about?
Love from Odisha, India ❤️🇮🇳❤️🇮🇳❤️🇮🇳
Love the metal brackets. Great idea.
You do so much with the shop that you own. I have never thought or judged you for not having a tool or more space.
Thank you for showing us how to get it done.
Thank you for feedback!
Nice work on that one, thanks for sharing!
I’m not in to weapons person but I do love your restorations, craftsmanship and humor. I really enjoy your channel, thank you
Greetings to you! Many thanks for your attention and feedback. connection. And I'm also glad that the viewer is watching my old restorations ^_^
That axe is a tool axe for wood. Its not a weapon.
Remember even the most common tool like a hammer can be used as a weapon tho
Watching you bring items back is very relaxing. In today’s world that is a Big Job. Thank you.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🌟🌟🌟🙂
I love how you show the issues and how you approach to them, awesome video
This axe is a great example of why ,at least l, follow you . The various forms , shapes , and methods of fastening the heads to the handles on European axes is so interesting . In the U.S. the handle goes into the eye of the head , a wedge spreads the end of the handle , and maybe they will put in two cross wedges two make it look stronger. BORING ! The ,for lack of the proper terminology, side , handle to head anchors is a great answer to inertia pushing the head away from the handle. You have demonstrated time and again the superior quality of older tools and why they are worth restoring . Thank you .
Thank you sir!

This idea taken by previous owner from old fireman axe --- common tool on USA fire department.

Thank you!))
Ficou Perfeito!! 🇧🇷👏👏
Spasibo vam za vnimanie ^_^
The dramatic sigh followed by you standing on the table made me crack up
Really a great job. I like how you did not miss a beat when the handle broke. I'm glad to see you just went ahead and changed it instead of trying to glue it. Look forward to seeing your next video.
Thank you sir!
....I like your funny words magic man

I wish I had the patience and tolerance for frustration that you have.
VALEU !!! ÓTIMO SERVIÇO AMIGO !!!👍👏👏👏👏
This is how a restoration should be. I don't like super shiny restorations. They seem like newer than the time they produced. Great work.
That wood is especially beautiful
Beautiful work.
Beautifully done sir

Really, REALLY awesome job, man.
My favorite thing about these videos is watching the shop improve. By doing good work you are improving the area around you. Nice...
Thank you so much!
I love how janky and home-made the axe looks in the beginning, as they say “necessity is the mother of innovation”
Great job! I love the two component paint.
It’s beautiful
I like how you blackened the handle
Very good job again. Strong and cut very well. 💪🪓😎🤙
Great video, amazing restoration.
Looks almost medieval, another fine job.
Love your work Sir! Blessings to you and your family 👼🇺🇸
Buen trabajo 👌👍🇪🇸
I have never seen a modern axe with side pieces like those.
But, they are reminiscent of langets on medieval war axes, which are usually considered for strengthening the shaft, not retention. I would guess that those serve both purposes.
Either history is repeating itself by someone reinventing langets , or the practice has continued otherwise unnoticed.
Thank you for presenting this very interesting axe.
Beep beep!
Hello! Thank you so much, yeah it's old version of axe. But I like it
Excellent work on the axe👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing. Now for your workbench, the wall space above can take a shelf to keep your sander and then you can extend the workbench
Thank you! It's really interesting idea!
I know where im going if things go down. Epic.
Be grateful that I'm not your neighbor. I would be standing around all day
watching and admiring your work. Great job. Thanks for the video.

Great axe restoration!
Just what I needed
I love how animated you are and how you give the work your all. Your woodwork is really good. And why would you need a new table? That table is perfectly fine an stable. Bigger isn't always better.
If the neighbors come over to complain about the noise answer the door with that ax in your hand. I bet they don't complain again.🤣
Yeah it is.
Still watch because you use old school tools and new ones great video !!!!!
Thank you so much!! ^_^

Estupendo hacha, y estupenda restauración un saludo
As usual, a great video.
Great work.
Thank you
Excellent job
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls God Bless Ya
This was good job!👍👍👍 You are made nice working tool!👌😀👌 I like old axes !
Thanks for sharing that video!👍👍👍😀
Thanks sir =)
I like it, I really do like it!
Were the fasteners really needed, i wonder🤔. But then again you do like using all parts. Looks good, great chopper😀
