Restoration Rusty Bushcraft Axe

- Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. I found this axe at flea market. There is a stamp on the head of the axe but I did not understand what it means if anyone knows please leave a comment. Thank you in advance!
Restoration process:
I removed the old axe handle and used electrolysis to remove the rust from axe.
I used a lot of file work to correct the shape of axe.
To correct cutting edge of axe I used anglegrinder machine.
For sharpening an axe I used stones and leather for final step.
I used iron brushes to removed the dirty dark color and only then I used iron chloride to get clean dark color on axe.
For handle, I used a birch tree for my axe.
Also, I painted the handle and impregnated it via linseed oil.
Finally, as usual I made axe test for you. I hope, you will enjoy this restoration video.

I like that you can see tools and things you've restored hanging in your workshop. I remember seeing you use a bayonet you restored to do work on another item you were restoring. I like seeing little things like that. 👏

I literally went “awwww” when the vacuum cleaner tube was making snuffling sounds like it was a nose. It was so cute and reminded me of how I used to make chores fun when I was little

I think this has to be one of my favorite restorations to date. I watch a number of different channels and many of them go for the "better than new" look. I love that you left this axe looking old and well-used rather than polishing it up to a mirror finish. Keep up the good work!

The axe head bears the Trud Vacha forge mark. I am currently restoring a Trud Vacha (1kg) as the handle was bent and could not be straightened. I have replaced it with Birch handle that I made.

Two components paint is basic hair dye.

Great job, I see you've come a long way. Your english has improved a lot and you're using electrolysis to remove rust! But please, please be careful when working around that power supply you are using for electrolysis, even though it's turned off, it's still plugged into power lines and some capacitors may still be charged.

It kinda looks like you put the axe head on upside down the longer point (beard) usually points down on most axes

I have old Soviet files. There are a couple of Swiss-made but small sizes, as well as Polish.

I use different ones that are cheaper and that consist of paint and oxidizer. Such as wella, garnier, and so on.

Looks like a fireman's axe. The blade was a fine piece and giving it an improved handle was twice the charm. Or it was a woodworker/woodcarver's axe.
you are great , but why you didnot polish it like a mirror polishing ?
I polished a chisel in the previous video. Metal polishing is not always relevant. Thank you for attention.
