I've been using the Motorola ma1 on my 22 street glide special for android auto. I have not been using that jumper. Is that jumper just for Apple car play? My Motorola ma1 recently stopped working . Will the brand you listed be better?
You said you can charge phone via USB-A port, can I have the Quad lock wireless charger/mount plugged in to Magic link at all times so I just mount phone on Quad lock and it will be charging and have the wireless CarPlay. Correct??
This is just a wireless dongle, so you do not need to plug in your phone. So in theory, it should still work with a wired headset. I haven’t tried it on one, so I’m not 100%
If interested I have a GTS radio from 2021 RGS with apple car play installed, no whim needed, bluetooth capability as well. Checked operation on 2017 CVO SG and worked fine.

My question wasn’t very clear… I guess I was more meaning are you able to fit the magic link and your phone in the compartment? My street glide barely fits my phone, and curious when rolling down the road how do you charge? Sorry, not talking shit, I like the content you put out and sometimes I feel reading text can make it sound like sharpshooting… Not where I am coming from, just generally curious.

So you either have a CVO which you over paid for, a used Harley that the prior owner put a WHIM on it (which they over paid for) or you have a aftermarket head unit. So little know fact. Not everyone on the road has the same HD as you and HD offers different models with different accessories. So just because your HD has wireless on it already doesn't mean all of them do. My 2023 SGS didn't have wireless or car play. So rather than spending an additional $7000 on a CVO or $500 for the WHIM and then another $500 for HD branded headsets I spent $12 on the amazon jumper.

Thank You! CarPlay will work with just the Apple CarPlay jumper, but your phone has to be plugged in. The Wireless dongle just makes it wireless’s

I believe if you have the GTS radio, it should work. I have not tried it on an earlier model, so I’m not to sure

The jumper is for Apple CarPlay. This module is for wireless play

Your CVO should already be equipped with the Whim, so you should not need the jumper. But the wireless dongle should work

We just put a 2020 gts in a 2018 rgs the car play plug is too short for 18 harness
Headset was flashed and licensed to allow Apple Car Play and does not affect the ECM on bike no issues if dealer has to connect.@@DE-gb3wq

You have the old Boom GT 6.5 you can not get Carplay or Android it only works on Boom GTS.

Does the 2024 CVO not have Android Auto? Harley is definitely holding out. This module should still work with the new 2024, but I haven’t tested it.
