I just bought one through your link… thanks for the discount!!!…. This will hopefully be a game changer. I’ve been using a Garmin Zumo XT for 2 years and I really hate it… I’ve started using it as a backup to my phone. Garmin has “shit the bed” as far as I’m concerned. The only issue so far is the Chigee is on back order until they say late September (2024). Thanks for the review and recommendation and I will comment here when I receive and install. Happy Trails!
Glad you liked the review and that you could save some money! I think Chigee hit the nail on the head with this one. I had a Garmin Nav before and it was pretty much useless. Please subscribe if you haven't and keep watching, I'll keep posting!
@@mustachemoto got my unit today!! And it’s same day they said it would ship by…. Going to pair it to GSA tonight. Unboxing first impression is that this thing seems to be very high quality.
Thanks Rob! It was horrible having to spend two days riding on and around the Blue Ridge Parkway to pull this review together, but that's the kind of sacrifices I make for my viewers ;) Please subscribe if you haven't and keep watching, I'll keep posting!
@@mustachemoto Sadly, upstate NY! ;-) We have just finished a house in Johnson City, TN, so we have Southern Aspirations. The riding down there is what has drawn us. Will be spending more time in the Blue Ridge and Smokies and eventually relocating.
Thank you for the review. As a non BMW owner I would love to know if the Chigee has other mounting options. Also, at that price it should have included cameras. I'm definitively going to look at the Aooci. Especially because it has GPS integrated, Carpuride does not.
Chigee has a non-BMW version with other mounting options AND dashcams built in. If you use the link you should still get the discount (you may have to use coupon code "mustachemoto")
I am hard core user of the Zumo XT2 and believe a dedicated GPS has its place in the moto world despite what people are saying. Hate to use my $1300 iPhone to the handlebar. Look forward to the next iteration with a 6"+ display and more processing power. Wish BMW adopts Apple CarPlay on a mid cycle refresh. But having spoken to companies that develop moto dashboard systems, BMW just doesn't want to give up control.
I get it and having an independent GPS is great in case you lose/break your iPhone. On long trips, I keep an old Android in my tool kit to use with my MotoScan. It's got downloaded maps on it, so I could connect that if I ever need a backup GPS (or I just break out the paper maps!) Yeah, built in CarPlay would be amazing, but I don't see that ever happening,
I bought an Aoocci 5" version and thought the video was terrible quality for 1080p, when I checked out the resolution it was in fact only 1080n which is half the pixel count of 1080p, HD 1080P is 1920 by 1080 pixels or 2.1 megapixels. 1080N on the other hand is only 1080 by 960 pixels or 1 megapixel.
A few questions. First, can I use any glove to control the screen? Second, I ride a '23 BMW GT, will the wonder wheel work with the 10.25 inch TFT? Lastly, is there a GPS built into the unit or do I have to use my phone's GPS?
I assume you're asking about the Chigee unit. It works with all three pairs of gloves I wear (two leather and one nylon insulated winter gloves). I assume the wonder wheel will work with it, but I have no way of testing it. Probably best to send contact them through the link and ask to be sure. No built in GPS... you have to connect it to your phone for maps. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't!
great review , i have a similar unit to Aoocci but mine has a mic built in with no way to switch to headset for voice assistant on android auto.. dont suppose you did any voice tests with the Aoocci from carplay and android auto.. would be really helpful to see if it works with helmet headset and any of the voice assistant commands
Well I've taken the Plunge! It was either Carpuride 603 or Aoocci C9 to replace my Garmin Zumo XT, I have choose the C9 MAX I hope its actually a good unit! And I'm a little worried about ordering from China if it'll actually turn up here in the UK?
Cool! Mine came from China to the US without a problem, and didn't take that long either. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already!
Of course it will come, where do you think all the devices come from. The second one even is at 50 euro instead of 220 if you get it directly from China, and takes a week to come, or sometimes its within Europe.
@@Brian-jv8iy ironically I tracked it leaving the factory - Airport - Leaving main land china - Arrived UK - through customs - handed over to EVRI - Then arrived at my local EVRI sorting centre, scanned in and never seen again! Stolen from their warehouse!!! Then Aoocci eventually sent me another one but it was a C6 pro not the C9 MAX I wanted.

did it all go smoothly? I agree that it is certainly a premium product!
@@mustachemoto very smooth… set up was super simple. Looking forward to see how REVER app works with it. 👍
Comprehensive review! Great to learn more about these devices. Thanks for all the work that went into this! -Rob

@@mustachemoto I thought that was the BRP. You are in Georgia, right?
Sure am, Atlanta area. Most of my twisty riding is North Georgia, TN and NC. Where are you?

Aooci is just a chinese rebrand depending on discounts, you can get it 70% cheaper than from this "reseller" without any names on it

Unfortunately I did not test any voice functions... that was an oversight on my part.
Great Video. But as far as HD which one you recommend as best
HD?
