  • In this video, I respond to an email from a new psych nurse working with adolescents. We dive into common challenges, such as feeling unsure when talking to parents and doctors. I offer practical tips on how to approach conversations with parents who are under a lot of stress and doctors who have extensive knowledge. We also explore how to build confidence in your new role and how to ask open-ended questions to better connect with both patients and colleagues. Whether you're a new nurse or just looking to improve communication in a psychiatric setting, this video will provide valuable insights!

Working on my prerequisites for nursing school currently. I really want to work with psychiatric patients. Long term I’d like to get my PMHNP degree but that’ll be a while. Haha. Keep up the good work man. Loving the videos.
