      With TFO seizing control of the galaxy from the NR I think its obvious Coruscant would be number 1 on the list. The Republic senator (Arbo) was part of a political fraction in the Senate that wanted the Empire restored. So I think it's easy to imagine this guy happily giving his planet to TFO and using it as the new capital for the New Empire and there wont be too much of a problem unless the population puts up a fight along with any remaining NR forces stationed there and unaware of the senators betrayal.
      I have a feeling that Lucasfilm might return to the planet in XI as a way to connect up all 3 trilogies.

    I’ve never bought that Coruscant is the human homeworld; that smacks of so much historical revisionism, like “Oh yeah obviously we came from this massively wealthy and prosperous capital world, we’re the most widespread and politically dominant species after all.” In Legends its highly likely that the humans who populated ancient Coruscant were transplanted there by the Rakata, and that its true natives are the Taung, the cultural forebears of the Mandalorians; in canon there’s no alternative human homeworld that I know of, but I still doubt that Coruscant is it.

    They made a eucemenopolis called Trantor, of course they did. They've got to pay respects to their sci-fi forefathers.
    If you didn't know Trantor is the capital of the Galactic Empire in Isaac Asimov's Foundation series and is probably the first eucemenopolis in fiction and it began the tradition of author's assigning ludicrusly small populations to eucemenopoli (which Star Wars has faithfully followed in lock step).

    • @vonfaustien3957
      @vonfaustien3957 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In fairness the fist book mentions hundreds of billions of solely administrative personal who run the empire on the planet with no tital population. The latter books took that as a total for everyone but given how some of the books take place well after its been a bombed out and reduced to a husk it could be just the foundation members don't know what they're tallong about in regards to the subject. I mean the "forgot" earth and guy behind that was altering and eraseing lots of records to hide his existence. Of course that only works for wierd population figures for the second foundation and the sequel books. Not the first 2 and prequels.

      (I know, date) Vardos is not ecumenopolis world. It's more like Earth. It got a lot of cities, but they are separated, so Vardos is just heavily populated planet.

      @@youcantseeme9029 I meant Fondor, but you understood.
      Some cities in Fondor cover a big portion of the planet, and the planet was the most important imperial planet after the liberation of coruscant, so I think it should have been included.
