Not every non-human background alien has to be a newly introduced alien race in any of Disney's new films whether it's the Sequel Trilogy, the Anthology Films, or any upcoming Star Wars trilogy next decade.
Well, "one left" is extinct for all intents and purposes unless the species in question reproduces asexually, can fertilize some left over eggs in a cave somewhere, or get cloned by some less than reputable species that can alter it's gender in the process. 1 left=extinct species ultimately, in nature.
This is speculation and take it with a grain of salt, but when Yoda went to Dagobah, I think he was just going back to his ancient homeland. The swamp and other creatures on Dagobah kind of "imply" that perhaps Yoda's people evolved from a marine race and that some unknown cataclysm destroyed it. So maybe just maybe Yoda and Yaddle could be Dagoban? Just a guess though.
I have a hard time believing that a few of these races went extinct in a single event or are even extinct at all For example the Fere were master ship builders, yet ALL of them lived on a single planet? I find that highly unlikely
Star Wars explained what about the *zillo beast from the clone wars? I thought in the clone wars episodes they said he was the last one of his species thought to be extinct but then that one died in coruscant.
You forgot the Rakata, the Sith, and the Evocii The Rakata went extinct sometime after 3600 BBY with most of the galaxy by the time of the Galactic Republic of the Clone Wars Era even questioning if they ever even existed, even the Jedi Order denied that they ever even existed, despite the fact that it was because of the Rakata that their Order was even born. The Evocii were a cat-like Humanoid species that was native to Evocar in what is currently Hutt Space, shortly after the Hutts left behind their original homeworld of Varl, the Hutts discovered Evocar and began trading technology with the Evocii in exchange for land. Eventually, the Evocii accidentally sold every square-mile of their homeworld to the Hutts who moved in and claimed it as their new home planet, renaming it Nal Hutta. The Evocii were eventually moved off of Nal Hutta to colonize one of the five moons of the planet, unfortunately for the Evocii the Hutts would also lay claim to the aforementioned moon and forced the Evocii to build it into the Ecumenopolis known as Nar Shaddaa. Afterwards, the Evocii were forced into the lower levels of Nar Shaddaa where they suffered from mutations and devolved into a feral species. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Vong attacked Nar Shaddaa and unleashed brutal viral agents into the lower levels of the planet that killed off any and all remaining sentient life still on the planet, quite possibly leading to the true extinction of the Evocii at long last.
If I remember correctly, Darth Bane visited their home planet where the last "known" ones supposedly lived. However, because of their strange breeding habits, they all died out.
It was looking pretty frickin "sentient," to me. Especially considering that hearing Palpatine's plans for it sent it into a rampage, "sentient," enough to seek out Palpatine and even attack his image on his way to finding him!
There’s plenty of them left, on in Kashyyykk and off-world. They were enslaved until freed after the Battle of Endor, but never driven to extinction. They were good for slavery and working in harsh environments, so the Empire saw them as too useful to destroy.

I know that this came out in 2018 so you wouldn’t have known, but why didn’t you mention the “night sisters” of dathamire, (probably butchered the spelling) or am I just stupid
Not every non-human background alien has to be a newly introduced alien race in any of Disney's new films whether it's the Sequel Trilogy, the Anthology Films, or any upcoming Star Wars trilogy next decade.
They're running out of names for these aliens...
There’s 1 genosian and the lasat are still alive on their original planet
Well, "one left" is extinct for all intents and purposes unless the species in question reproduces asexually, can fertilize some left over eggs in a cave somewhere, or get cloned by some less than reputable species that can alter it's gender in the process. 1 left=extinct species ultimately, in nature.
What about Yoda and Yaddle
Yaddle died during the prequels and we all know when Yoda died
This is speculation and take it with a grain of salt, but when Yoda went to Dagobah, I think he was just going back to his ancient homeland. The swamp and other creatures on Dagobah kind of "imply" that perhaps Yoda's people evolved from a marine race and that some unknown cataclysm destroyed it. So maybe just maybe Yoda and Yaddle could be Dagoban? Just a guess though.
Me: That's Cool
Also me: Wait Yoda saw most of this
Maybe that's why he became so dogmatic... He couldn't stand watching it all happen
Going extinct, species are. Do nothing, I will
Maybe yoda’s species? There are only a few and the ones i know of are all dead
R.I.P Taungs: the proto-mandalorians
The species Thrawn killed
You forgot one
The internet murdered all the gungans, I think we all know why
I have a hard time believing that a few of these races went extinct in a single event or are even extinct at all
For example the Fere were master ship builders, yet ALL of them lived on a single planet? I find that highly unlikely
You can add Han, Lei, Luke and the SW story arc to that list after the ep 8 buggering.
Star Wars explained what about the *zillo beast from the clone wars? I thought in the clone wars episodes they said he was the last one of his species thought to be extinct but then that one died in coruscant.
A video about k'kruhk would be cool; or a video about the Whiphid species/culture would be cool too.
The lasat arent extinct they were found to have gone to new lasan in rebels
The Rakata and Celestials
Wow lot of dead species!
Never thought star wars gets this real!
Also great video;)
You forgot the Rakata, the Sith, and the Evocii
The Rakata went extinct sometime after 3600 BBY with most of the galaxy by the time of the Galactic Republic of the Clone Wars Era even questioning if they ever even existed, even the Jedi Order denied that they ever even existed, despite the fact that it was because of the Rakata that their Order was even born.
What about the long-extinct predator of the ti landa til on varl?
UPDATE: The extinct predator is called thota
TheWaluigiman1 they were extinct long before darth bane, they went extinct a few generations after the Jedi civil war
But what about the droid attack on the Wookiee’s?
The Gen'Dai? After Durge death i ledgens?
The Zeffo became extinct
Geonosis
So the moral of the story is, don't rebel against the Empire, unless you're a Rebel of course.
An asteroid that was strong in the dark side... and interesting thought
The Geonosians were near extinction, but it wasn't until Ezra discovered Click-Clack and the Egg he was protecting.
Aren't geonosians verpines ?
The zillow beasts?
Joshua Davies Not sentient and Palpatine cloned one.
Roland Deschain did he?
Palpatine told his scientist to clone it but we don't know the result of the project though it most likely failed making the zillo beast extinct.
It was looking pretty frickin "sentient," to me.
Especially considering that hearing Palpatine's plans for it sent it into a rampage, "sentient," enough to seek out Palpatine and even attack his image on his way to finding him!
Nihilus wiped out the miraluka!
The sith race is gone.
And the celestials are gone by the time of Darth krayt!
Miraluka weren't wiped out by Nihilus. He only destroyed theircolony.
Now we can add the Zeffo to this list
Something really sad is the vast majority of these went extinct via either the Empire or Rakatans. Shows just how evil both were.
What happened to the wookies after the rise of the empire? I imagine that they were driven to endangerment or extinction
There’s plenty of them left, on in Kashyyykk and off-world. They were enslaved until freed after the Battle of Endor, but never driven to extinction. They were good for slavery and working in harsh environments, so the Empire saw them as too useful to destroy.
@@CalebMealer Thank you for the info!
I remember.....how....i...burst through the enemy lines with weapons and explosives far ahead of the infantry,...........from planet to planet, in our unstopable conquest of the Galaxy.
