One thing Disney’s done well with Star Wars is the flashback scenes! Grogu’s are always great, and while season 3 wasn’t the best season of The Mandalorian, his flashback was the highlight for me. Also really enjoyed the Boba Fett flashbacks when he was in the Bacta Tank, the ones about his Tusken tribe
Just imagine all the stuff Obi-Wan came through in his life and still, he NEVER fell to the dark side, he always remained a Jedi. That's an inhuman amount of inner strength!
@@alsimmonshellspawn6021 Are you sure about that? Disney Star Wars showed a child’s neck being snapped by Darth Vader. Even Revenge of the Sith didn’t show Anakin killing the younglings.
A big reason why I remain a fan of star wars is the infinate untapped potential in the story. I'd love to learn more about sith worlds and jedi worlds but that's just scratching the surface. I want a game where you can be anyone or anything (star citizen). Shows, comics and more that explore time dilation, black holes, radiation sickness, wormholes, quasars, and so much more. A big reason why I love solo is because they took the first steps towards actually using the hazards in space (the gravity well/black hole)
Not gonna happen with Disney thanks to A) they wiped Legends lore and B) they have no idea wtf they are doing anymore. Going broke making lame content no one wants to see.
OH MY GOD😢 I’m surprised Obi-Wan did not die because of the amount of torture he went through. It’s a good thing he had Bale Organa with him, otherwise he would have died. I’m starting to suspect that the reason the Jedi never cleansed the planet was because they simply couldn’t.
Another cool thing to add to the more of this planet would to have it tied somehow to the Immortal Emperer (valkorian, Vitiate) by having the temple be a former temple of his and have Holocrons holding lot of his ancient secrets. It would make sense since Valkorian was so powerful he could drain the life of an entire planet with the force (ziost- no ritual.. Nathema-ritual)
He stood against all the same stuff Obi-Wan and later Luke (the main characters) stood against, without having "space magic" and paid the ultimate price. Couldn't agree more. Are the problems the Rebellion had after his death (Mothma vs Bel Iblis) still canon? Really goes to show what a crucial character he was.
We regret to inform you that this planet has been officially removed from our travel logs due to Jedi insanity. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope you continue to fly with us. Thank you!
This is the one planet I am comfortable with the Empire destroying. Because of this planet could almost break Obi-Wan for good, I'd hate to think what what happened to Yoda
I have been on a Star Wars kick as of late and your videos have made it all the more enjoyable. Sometimes I'll play your videos in the background while playing BF2 online. Love your Aboloth videos too! Keep it up!
I know this story is Legends but imagine if there was 1 jedi that could travel the planet and be unaffected. Meetra Surik, the Jedi Exile. Because of the Mandalorian Wars, she cuts herself off from the force and could not wield it becoming a "wound in the force." Theory is if she was able to journey the planet, is it possible the Sith Temple instead of cursing her, is actually restoring the Force as a trap. If she embraces the Force, she could become a Dark Jedi like Revan to later become a Sith Lord.
Ayyo!...I'm at 8:21 as of this typing and I can't help but love this story!!!😮...WOW!!! The Dark Side of the Force have some of the most interesting lore. Another comment to come after it's over.
Its kinda a testimet to Obi wan, where most of the time the Dark side immediately tries to convert most other Jedi, this time its first reaction was to try to kill him.
I wonder if someone powerful in the Force but as balanced as Bendu could safely go to Zigoola. Especially if they were self taught and so won't have any Jedi indoctrination in their mind, what if anything would the Sith spirits and/or whomever was in that holocron be able to throw at them?
Sometimes Star Wars writing is genuinely so good, a hero, a character we see constantly winning, doing everything well, brought to shambles. While a non-Force User who is a side character has to step in and take his place temporarily. At the same time, showing why the Sith always lose, their obsessions always make them fail. If the Sith Temples influence hadn't gone only to Obi-Wan both of them would be dead, but the Dark Side's obsession with destroying a Jedi left the normal person completely unaffected.
I don't know if it's just my take but obi-wan's trials on Zygula seem to reflect the trials he'll face later, as he'll be forced to cut himself off from the light side much like this planet had done, then forced to make physical sacrifices to achieve victory for the greater good, and finally the planet itself could reflect the state of the galaxy during the imperial era as even the most common of galactic citizens will want the Jedi dead all at the behest of the Sith.
I wonder how this plant will affect someone with the capabilities of Grandmaster Yoda (or even Qui-Gon or Windu) - Hearkening back to Starkiller’s encounter with the Grandmaster, sitting next to a nexxus of dark force energy.
I think a nice touch is that Obi-wan is using the focus of his pain to try and push out the illusions. It really reminds me of how in Naruto, self-inflicted pain can break genjutsu
Listen to Kreia and Atton´s conversation in KOTOR 2. Striking parallell to this story about how Bail can not hear the force and how that made him more capable than Kenobi in this case, who was crippled by the dark side. Simply outstanding. Its unthinkable that we dont get story as good as these anymore. Thank you rat incorporated for ruining the franchise.
It’s insane how the dark side is so strong inside the temple that it even tugs at the little midichlorians inside Bale and makes him feel physically ill from it. God knows how Obi Wan survived this and didn’t completely lose himself to the dark side, his willpower is simply unbreakable.
Sounds like a lovely place to build my vacation palace , I would have to bring my own servants and army though . Maybe I would bring a few jedi survivors , watch them go insane then hunt them for sport .
Bail Organa was thankful he had no ability touch the force whatsoever or else he wouldn't have last as long as Obi-Wan did. Although, he was the reason why Obi-Wan got out of there alive in the first place.
There are two planets in my Fanon Star Wars universe that are steeped even deeper in evil than Zygulla. The first, Taranaj, is a planet with a sun that is literally the most powerful Dark-Side nexus in the universe. The sun of that planet, Taraj Nar, is the prison for a Dark spirit as old as the universe, a spirit known as the Voice of Darkness. The other planet, Shorasharr, was rejected by the Force upon the death of its sun. The planet then became a nexus for Sel-The’on, the Secret Fire - a being that personifies the Void itself. This being exists solely to spread death and destruction, to the point where it seeks to create Force Wounds, in an attempt to destroy the Force itself.
Ok this is off subject of this video which pertains to quigon jinn. What if he knew that the chosen one would bring an end to the jedi and that is because of his trusted master that betrayed the jedi? Like he was gonna train anakin with or without the jedis council of approval. Maybe he was still in contact with count dooku because they were close. I think quigon was mislead by dooku about the chosen one bringing peace for the jedi and that is why "the boy must be trained"
I had to prepare myself and pause a few times throughout this video because seeing Obi wan being tortured like this by The Dark Side itself is a pretty good panic attack trigger. Seeing such a strong character be reduced to a husk of themselves by simply being on a planet is very disturbing to me.
The book is SO much worse. It goes into all that gritty detail. When I went to read it, I was actually cringing through it and had to stop a few times because of how intense Obi-wan's pain was
See this is what I enjoy about what is now legends, the Jedi or even the Sith had to relay on non force users for some missions. Such planets that cut one from the force or areas where if you were a force-user you would be attacked by monsters so you had to send in non force users.
I wonder if this was sort of like the rule of 2. As Sith planets were purged of their artifacts by the Jedi, the remaining planets became more dark? That is, the untouched planets concentrated more of the dark side of the force?

Sidious as the so called “last true Sith” (even tho he is not a pure blooded Sith) could’ve used it himself but didn’t other than to send Jedi there which was a major screw up on Darth Sidious’s part. That place is really only one of very few worlds in Star Wars which is bad enough to warrant outright destroying the planet. The only one that really compares to it is Malachor V, and in that case it wasn't entirely even a world so much as a pile of broken pieces intermixed with crushed battleships and corpses.
This is extremely terrifying. Creepy. It's terrible. We can imagine what happen. It's terrible. I'm glad they escaped. I agree Sith created the planet, designed it. Pure horror. Awesome breakdown of Zigoola. If the Obi Wan series gets a second season this sequence with Bail Organa would make an awesome flashback episode.
