_Akatsuki daaaa!_ 🦊🤘🔥 Another nice suggestion to enjoy a SuMetal solo, the deceiving slow ballad intro turns out becomes a stripped unique live version with Akatsuki Unfinished Version live at at Legend 1997 in 2013, another highly recommended song. While SuMetal is performing this, the other girls are taking a break to come back after this song and perform their own songs under Black Babymetal subgroup. This is live at Budokan 2014, reaching this huge goal with only 16 and 14 yo, big international artists performed here like The Beatles among many others, so you get the idea how huge this is. This song got a tribute to X-Japan, is a power/speed metal ballad, if you want to know legendary Japanese band you should know X-Japan, Yoshiki one of the founder member was the one who suffered serious injury while headbanging during a live concert, that's the tribute in Headbanger!! song live at Legend 1997 is a must. In this song our queen SuMetal is fighting for a neverending love. Akatsuki it pronounce almost with the "u" silent so it goes like "Ah - kats- ki", it means "crimson moon" or "red moon", that's why is a homage to "Kurenai" (crimson) by X-Japan, even the beginning with that shout is a tribute to "X" live version. This is one out of four solo she has on the repertory, the other left are "No Rainbow No Rainbow", "Amore" and Rondo Of Nightmare (if you didn't), same for Black Babymetal subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal, you can find songs like "Song 4" (with Metallica riffs) at this same venue or "Onedari Daisakusen" live at Legend 1997. Like i said before you can find Akatsuki Unfinished Version live at Legend 1997 which is a ballad version with only a piano playing behind, similar to the new Monochrome Piano Version. The Kami Band in this Black Night are the same you saw at Rondo Of Nightmare: Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. Takayoshi is the one with the pink guitar (aka pink-chan) and was Mikio's pupil, he also got a golden guitar, everyone loves Taka. There's another special version live at Budokan 2021 with a grown up and more mature SuMetal vocals and some winks to another versions. Next suggestion: - Believing live at PIA Arena MM 2023, NLMetal got this clip probably safe to react. See you next time and don't forget to put your kitsune up! 🦊🤘🔥
Great reaction. I was going to tell you all sorts like yes it is a Su-metal solo, Yui and Moa were catching their breath back stage, 'Akatsuki' is inspired by and pays homage to X Japan's 'Kurenai' and you were expecting a slow acoustic song ... just find 'Akatsuki Unfinished version' live at Legend 1997 - but it has already been said, so I don't need to repeat it all.😁🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction. I can see you are well into the FOXHOLE! This song saved me from my pet loss of an 18 year old dog. The song tells us that love for someone is for you to cherish forever. After hearing this song, I can see photos of my dog with a smile and feel the gratitude for having made my life so much richer. BABYMETAL always make me feel this way.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Grington300 explained everything you need to know. One thing I can add is that this is Su's solo in 7th of the setlist that day and she did another solo as 6th, too. Prior to Su, Moa and Yui did their two duo songs as 4th and 5th.
Nice reaction, thanks! You just listened to and witnessed my all time personal favorite song and live performance. Saying that this is the pure expression of perfection is to fall short. Because I love everything about it, being this totally in my alley musically. And yes, I know that there are better versions (believe it or not), mainly because of Su's vocal maturity (note that she was just 16 at the time). But this one is incredibly special to me, since watching this concert and specially her three solos, made me a die-hard fan. We usually stay focused on the obvious: those guitars solos are truly amazing. But the bass lines are outstanding and Hideki's double bass is just impeccable. You are not the only one fooled by the song's intro. To the point they performed a one time acoustic version (unfinished) at Legend 1997 concert as you have already been told. Until next time! 🤘🦊
Their is actually an 'unfinished version' aka piano version of Akatsuki as well, she performed it ones at Legend 1997. Just react to that, it's really good.
Akatsuki @ Nippon Budokan:- This is one of 4 Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) solo songs. The other 3 are:- 1. "Amore" (Wembley Arena). 2. "No Rain No Rainbow" (Legend A Baptism XX). 3. "Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischief Of Gods" (Budokan Black Night) same venue. Su-Metal have a powerful peircing voice to penetrate the heavy musical instrument and still sound so clear. You should listen to X Japan "Kurenai", a legendary band from Japan 🇯🇵 which Babymetal get a lot of their inspiration from. There is a slow ballad version of "Akatsuki", the Unfinished version perform at Legend 1997 Apocalypse concert same venue as Headbanger @ the Makuhari Messe. Akatsuki is just Crimson Moon, but the original kanji for Akatsuki is the one you see in Naruto (暁). The original meaning is the time when night fall ends, or dawn. But there is a double meaning of "The time you waited after your dreams/wishes came true" . If you listen to the lyrics both crimson moon and akatsuki play a role in the song Akatsuki. LYRICS OVERVIEW:- Crimson Moon Going over thousands nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. Shining in the depths of the eyes, the moon is about to cry. Red tears overflow and dye the night sky. In the silence, the two damaged blades stand face to face. Our loneliness and our uneasiness slash even our hearts. Going over thousands nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. In the passage of time, I keep my eyes shut. Even if the red thread flowing in my hand breaks, I still feel we are tied. In the silence, I hold the damaged blade face to face. My loneliness and my uneasiness, I slash, even my heart, now. Going over thousands nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears someday... Going over thousands nights, some love shall survive.

Glad to have you here. 😊
As good as this one is, my favorite is the Dark Night Carnival version, then the Unfinished version 2nd.
