The little lady that started her career in entertainment, etc. business at age 3, her father was in a rock band, but needed to work in the construction business of his dad after health problems of that dad (about that work, that wasn't confirmed). Here she is only 16 years old, but with over 10 years of experience of standing in the spotlight !
I heard that the japanese runner who won Boston marathon, he was listening to Power metal in training to keep his pace when running. The reporter asked him about his playlist. and surprisingly he mention this freaking song. So it has so much power in it for sure.
I didn't win shit, but I completed the LA Marathon last year. Around the 20th mile I felt totally cooked, but some girls offered me some fireball shots and I turned on Babymetal and it was suddenly a breeze.
Great reaction again. The Budokan is a martial arts arena originally built for the 1964 Olympics and now one of the most prestigious venues for concerts, it is the place Japanese (and foreign) artists aspire to play (think Carnegie Hall or Madison Square Gardens levels of prestige). This was March 2014, BABYMETAL became the youngest average age female band ever to headline - they sold it out two nights running as they released their first album ... Su was just 16, Yui and Moa both 14. 'Akatsuki' was inspired by and pays homage to X Japan's classic song 'Kurenai'. There is another version that would be worth another reaction - 'Akatsuki' Unfinished version. Su performed it live just the one time at the Legend 1997 concert in December 2013 - her 16th birthday party - it is just Su, piano and strings. Same song, same melody, same lyrics (apart from those last two lines), but a completely different feel - and very emotional. The Kami Band here were Leda Cygnus (black V guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (glittery pink guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums).
Pink sparkle guitarist is Takayohsi Ohmura and that's his signature ESP guitar with scalloped fretboard. He's an instructor at MI Japan, and has released 8 solo records. He and Ichika Nito are the 2 premiere guitar players from Japan.
It boggles my mind to think, that a producer would see Suzuka, at around age 11, To see her and think. I want this girl to front a metal band. Kobametal is a genius.
You just got to be amazed how a 16 year old just dominates the stage . There are lots of great performances of Akatsuki, but this one is my favourite ❤️😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Akatsuki @ Nippon Budokan:- This is one of 4 Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) solo songs. The other 3 are:- 1. "Amore" (Wembley Arena). 2. "No Rain No Rainbow" (Legend A Baptism XX). 3. Atkasuki is one of my favorites by Babaymetal! Su metal is the queen!! If you love this version, you’ll love the stripped down even more, just Su and a piano!! Very emotional
_Akatsuki daaaa!_ 🦊🤘🔥 Another nice suggestion. While SuMetal is performing this, the other girls are taking a break to come back after this song and perform their own songs under Black Babymetal subgroup. This is live at Budokan 2014, reaching this huge goal with only 16 and 14 yo, big international artists performed here like The Beatles among many others, so you get the idea how huge this is. Also you can find Akatsuki Unfinished Version live at Legend 1997 which is a ballad version with only a piano playing behind, similar to the new Monochrome Piano Version. The Kami Band in this Black Night are: Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums, good job noticing he likes to sing the song while playing and is not the first time doing it. There's another special version live at Budokan 2021 with a grown up and more mature SuMetal vocals and some winks to another versions. See you next time and don't forget to put your kitsune up! 🦊🤘🔥
Terrific reaction. This is the song that saved me from my pet loss of an 18 year old dog. BABYMETAL cured me in one night! If you haven't, please check the lyrics. They are always positive, never blame others for shit that happens but only think of what they can do to make things better. That is why you will see only smiles on faces when watching BM, but in some instances, tears at the same time!
Some have mentioned earlier that Black Babymetal (Yui and Moa) crank out some heavy songs as well. 'Sis Anger' live version(s) starts very heavy and stays that way so it would be a good starting video for you.
man, such a sick band. I stumbled on their music back in 2017 and it blew my mind. Still does. The musicianship, professionalism, writing... everything. Just an unbelievable combination. It's so awesome to see exceptionally skilled session musicians go on to play big arenas like this. It's so uncommon in western music, especially the rock/metal realm. Nothing is lacking. That level of professionalism, in all areas, is a joy to experience.
1:13 - Pronounced Akat-skee, as Su screams here. It’s a combination of あか (Red) and つき (Moon) but the meaning is 'dawn/daybreak'. I heard a legendary tale about Babymetal's not very good song - but, of course, that turned out to be a myth as, having their entire back catalogue to hand, I can say that such a thing is not possible! 🦊🤘🤘🦊
...and I always ask myself: How can you be so bloody perfect at that young age? Answer is #themetalqueen. That pink-chan guitar is actually his own ESP Snapper signature model. Totally earned, cuz Taka is just phenomenal.
Amore is my recommendation (and favorite song) it’s incredibly underrated in the fanbase. It’s another Su solo. Sadly they haven’t performed it since 2017, but when they did perform it, it was incredible.
For me, Akatsuki is the best speed/power metal from BM so far. If you like it, try the other speed metal from them such: - Amore - Arkadia - Ijime Dame Zettai - Road Of Resistance - Headbanger See you in your next choice
Crimson Moon, in most of Asian countries, had similar folk legends. Something bad was about to happened when the moon turned red. A full moon would be powerful enough by itself. A fully rounded red moon had even stronger influence to the mind's of people. Weak minded person would do wrong things on bad judgements. Since a red full moon had so much power, it would not only triggering a curse if there was one, but also strengthen the curse. In Megitsune, you've seen the Fox God peeking and selecting. Fox god is representing the black magic power. In Headbanger MV, a crimson moon was shown in the very end as a hint. Did she really just pass out for exhaustion after a concert? I think she passed out because the Fox God spell was triggered. The gong Su hit at the end of the Headbanger live, I think it's a metaphor that Su decided to accept the spell that Fox God put on her, while Yui and Moa tried to stop her. In Akatsuki, the red moon is even bigger, fierce and struggled on fighting something in her mind.
Just subscribed for the BABYMETAL reviews!! Keep doing these - they have 10+ years of KILLER video's on TH-cam I'd like to see you review. Be sure to check out their new album "The Other One", and let the viewers know they are currently on yet another world tour (2023). ROCK ON!!
all 4 of Su's solo songs are absolutely amazing. I like the Darknight Carnival version better. And you cant pass up Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of Metal Gods intro. Kami band perfection
This might not be Su's best vocal performance, but this particular performance touched me in the deepest way. It's my favourite performance! I personally believe there was something wrong on this particular stage, maybe the in-ear piece. The speed of the song just sounded faster than any other verson. Su had to put extra effort to sing if compared it to the album or other. However, the extra effort of Su just turned this stage to a masterpiece performance. She sounded more struggled and fierce, the extra effort just emphasized every emotion of this song, just love it. By the way, what you noticed the eye contact communication between Su and the drummer perhaps was "It's okay, we'll take care of each other! Hang on there!"😂
It is an astonishing skill Su has during live performances to make a moment that is just special from the rest of the set i first witnessed it at Sonisphere in the UK when she did IDZ and had 55000 people who 35 minutes earlier had never heard of them screaming for more,in this concert she does it twice the other being Rondo of nightmare only Su could follow that kami band intro 🦊
Cool, more BABYMETAL, great! I'm here for this. I mean I'm literally here because watching Su's solos from the Budokan Black Night concert made me a die-hard fan. She got three solos that night: "Rondo of Nigtmare", "No Rain no Rainbow" and this one "Akatsuki," being my absolute favorite song (okay, sharing that position with "Megitsune"). Very fan of power metal here, love the dueling and then harmonizing guitar solos, plenty of magnificent bass lines (yes, that transition is pure gold) and Aoyama's double kick drumming is mind-blowing. His control is just incredible, the guy is a freaking metronome (and I'm picky about drummers!). Not to mention Su-metals clear and powerful vocals. Always loved another reactor's definition about her performance: "The glazed topping over a huge metal cake". 😁 Until next time! 🤘🦊
That's the live sound we have been missing. The pink guitar is Takayoshi Ohmura's signature ESP snapper-7, known as Twinkle Pink. He has another that is over the top pink called Pink Monster 🤘🦊🤘
Not just Herman Li, but Sam Totsman (sic?) as well. Both DragonForce guitarists helped write the guitar arrangement as well as recorded the guitars for the studio track of Road of Resistance.
I was actually praying it would be the piano (unfinished?) version of Akatsuki - and was somewhat horrified to find it was the usa english version of the one (I know....fan tribute blah blah blah but a LOT of ppl looking at the first take have probably never heard of them - and this song is for fans)- but at least it wasn''t elevator girl :P
👍 👍 Excellent. Keep in mind that Suzuka was controlling the stage and putting on a vocal clinic while only 16 years of age. Think of the hours and hours of practice and training she, Moa and Yui put in.
I have to admit that this song is not among my favorites but that is not to say it's a bad song (you'd have to look pretty hard to find a "bad" BABYMETAL song!). And I will also admit I get a bit put out when people (reacters) say about BABYMETAL songs "Oh! That sounds like it should be in an anime!" Well, it's time for me to eat crow because, IMO, this song DOES sound like it should be the end-credits song to an anime. Su-metal has a phenomenal voice but I'm not a big fan of her BABYMETAL solos. 🤘🦊🤘
The little lady that started her career in entertainment, etc. business at age 3, her father was in a rock band, but needed to work in the construction business of his dad after health problems of that dad (about that work, that wasn't confirmed). LYRICS OVERVIEW:-
Crimson Moon
Going over thousands nights,
some love shall survive.
So, until my body perishes,
until my life disappears,
I shall keep on cherishing this love.
Shining in the depths of the eyes,
the moon is about to cry.
Red tears overflow
and dye the night sky.
In the silence,
the two damaged blades stand face to face.
Our loneliness and our uneasiness
slash even our hearts.
Going over thousands nights,
some love shall survive.
So, until my body perishes,
until my life disappears,
I shall keep on cherishing this love.
In the passage of time,
I keep my eyes shut.
Even if the red thread flowing in my hand breaks,
I still feel we are tied.
In the silence,
I hold the damaged blade face to face.
My loneliness and my uneasiness,
I slash, even my heart,
now.
Going over thousands nights,
some love shall survive.
So, until my body perishes,
until my life disappears someday...
Going over thousands nights,
some love shall survive.
So, until my body perishes,
until my life disappears,
I shall keep on cherishing this love.
Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson!

Until next time!

There's so much power metal in this song my pet cat evolve into atlas lion 😁
That's the live sound we have been missing. The pink guitar is Takayoshi Ohmura's signature ESP snapper-7, known as Twinkle Pink. He has another that is over the top pink called Pink Monster

I want to learn so BM songs on guitar and Drums now!!
Pretty sure that's "Pink-Chan" in the vid.
@@yolandria ya, I used the ESP name
@@JustDunk Ya BM are a great source of inspiration
I like Road of Resistance ,also a crazy power metal song featuring DragonForce guitarist Herman Li
I’ll have to check that out!! Also Nice Karl Sanders photo you have there!!!
yeah, my fav band and guitarist from tbdm ;)
Not just Herman Li, but Sam Totsman (sic?) as well. Both DragonForce guitarists helped write the guitar arrangement as well as recorded the guitars for the studio track of Road of Resistance.
@@AxeSwipe2011 Thanks for correcting
This would have been a great song to perform on First Take
I was actually praying it would be the piano (unfinished?) version of Akatsuki - and was somewhat horrified to find it was the usa english version of the one (I know....fan tribute blah blah blah but a LOT of ppl looking at the first take have probably never heard of them - and this song is for fans)- but at least it wasn''t elevator girl :P
Nice reaction,
there are many good songs, but next time I recommend Arcadia,
Noted!
Awesome,great reaction.
Next kagerou/rondo of nightmare ( kami band intro)
Great song! I just did a drum cover of it.
People love that pink, sparkly guitar. You have to be good to play that thing or you just look silly.
👍 👍
Excellent.
Keep in mind that Suzuka was controlling the stage and putting on a vocal clinic while only 16 years of age. Think of the hours and hours of practice and training she, Moa and Yui put in.
Akatsuki ga!!!
🤘🦊🤘
I have to admit that this song is not among my favorites but that is not to say it's a bad song (you'd have to look pretty hard to find a "bad" BABYMETAL song!). And I will also admit I get a bit put out when people (reacters) say about BABYMETAL songs "Oh! That sounds like it should be in an anime!" Well, it's time for me to eat crow because, IMO, this song DOES sound like it should be the end-credits song to an anime. Su-metal has a phenomenal voice but I'm not a big fan of her BABYMETAL solos.
