It's fun to watch the current state of games as someone that grew up with them. I remember all those we played clan wars after school without any blueberries. I wonder if there are any clans in these sequels or people just gave up.
@@demo3456 me too
@@demo3456 they still are..indie ones at least...
i know games these days (AAA) look awful and exploitative. but i've seen a rise of game critics from the net, who goa round informing the average joe about terrible aaa practices, as well, little indies just pop out of nowere and becoming famous for incredibly original titles that ea and its kin will NEVER pick up.
im positive about gaming, i KNOW this is just a decade of bad games, but people is getting more "gamer-cultured" and learning about bad practices, progressive culture is secretly getting rejected and booed, and game reviewers like papa gun gun are more popular and widespread, making imposible for big corpos to control every single voice.
we just need to...keep bullying EA with memes and videos like this, support good practices and stay positive 😉👍

But *is this good for the player?*
@@demo3456 There's a good reason why the streamer meta right now is games that came out before the XBOX ONE / PS4 and mods of said games, if they're available.
Also games from Nintendo and indies. Even mobile games are on the rise, FFS.
It sad games are in a current weird state also I love your work by the way keep up the good work.
Still can't get it to sink in after all these years, one of the head guys as EA was like "my daughter wants WW2/battlefield to be more like Fortnite", and they did it.
A privileged child killed a whole series, gotta love it.
It was not a guy at ea, it was a guy at dice.
Same guy who called everyone uneducated when they questioned black, female ss soldiers etcetera.
Dice has become one of the "wokest" companies in the world and should get a MUCH bigger part of the blame than they currently get.
It's kinda trend in giant corpos: once you're at the top, you can perform stunning feats of incompetence and nobody can stop you.
That was a lie. He wanted it to be as Fortnite, and in case of backlash, he plays your morale: "It was my daughter's wish... I couldn't... I think I couldn't... Resist that."
@@Mr_G_s_Route_66 yeah, it's evident in corporative mindset:
1) wow, those guys are literally printing money with F4RTN1T3
2) can we do something like that too?
3) battlefield Fortnite
4) oh nooo, seems like our plan didn't worked as we hoped
5) backpedal, feign ignorance, cover your ass as much as you can, spin a tale about your daughter
"Fortnite isn't real. You're fighting along side a can of tuna and spiderman."
How did she even get the idea to compare Fortnite and WW2? One is based on factual history and the other is based on pop culture.
And I'm sure the last thing anyone wants is their bedroom fun toys to telling them they're losing in the fourth quarter of Madden.
Hold up
Isn't battlefield like rated 18?
Why is he letting a 12 year old playing battlefield games?
I'm pretty sure her dad was talking out of his ass and just made that story up in an attempt to gain the moral high ground in his argument or something.
Remember the good old days when you'd put a video game disc in and just play the game, no 150GB installs, good campaign stories, no micro transactions.... Modern gaming is con and breaks my heart how EA/Dice has slowly destroyed this franchise. Once upon a time there was no better military shooter! It takes some impressive effort to 'F' it this bad!
Thats back when games were art and not just products
@Random Platypus with Internet like the Undead Nightmare or Liberty City Stories. Hell even recently the Witcher 3 DLC was great. Sad that those days are gone.
I also remember the good old days when fighting games weren't being pushed as E-Sports, and needed to be "perfectly balanced" and were just made to be fun. That and there were tons of unlockables, and secret characters, and extra modes, etc.
Now you gotta pay extra for all that, and every fighting game is a sweaty no-fun-allowed zone, where if you don't commit to it like a full time job you get thumped by everyone else. And god forbid if you wanna play single player, because 9/10 fighters don't even have competent sp content anymore (looking at you, SFV with your sometimes ONE FIGHT LONG CHARACTER STORY MODES).
i used to be so hype for cod map packs 25 bucks for 10 new maps now thats how you keep players now a days it about how much you hype up the player then deliver something crappy
I tried to warn people about this era, this is a result of the digital era and companies release incomplete garbage and just update it later
One of the things that really turned me off modern games is that they ceased to be about escapism and started dragging in reality, usually social media but often it's more nefarious.
I play games because I live paycheck to paycheck and am a 'loser', and no matter how poor I am, in a game where only skill matters I got decent chance of beating the rich kid.
Once the rich kid starts getting advantages from the developers based solely on the fact that they're can throw money around I am no longer having fun, because the devs choose to remind me of my economic status in pursuit of profits.
How many people would watch soccer if the teams could buy 'advantages' such as the opponent has bigger goals, or they have one less player?
Perhaps you should study or move somewhere else fam?
@@JF-xm6tu Not everyone is born top skill. Not everyone is born smart, strong, or any number of things. If everyone was those, then no one would be; because that would be the average. Don't spit on the average worker ant, they make the world go round. For if they didn't, then you'd be that L.
I understand, and no one should cater to the smarter, stronger, richer people. Nor cater to least common denominator. Cater to the average person.
Been a long time since I said "Yeah I'm skipping this game," after playing the beta for an hour.
As soon as I heard about the “non-binary” characters and operators; I knew where their intent was.
I've been saying "I'm skipping this game" an awful lot recently.
@@Snakedude4life I just don't even understand the intent of named characters in this franchise, other than skin money. They should have just enhanced BFV's system. Pick your gender (or don't lmao) and your ethnicity maybe a country flag patch for your non-patriated/fallen country, and then customize helmets, chest, and legs.
@@Albus_Rex what you described is fine, but then BFV also had the stupid store skins that were over the top garbage and immersion breaking. If they had NONE of that, and only realistic customization for 2042, then it would have worked perfect. But with a specialist system that just can’t happen. Needs over the top goofy clothes and armor to add “lore” to the character and of course... to bring in the fat stacks of cash.
True I didn’t even play the beta for more than 20mins and I knew something was wrong. Can’t believe I actually felt excited for this trash heap.
That women snipers thing actually seals the deal for me. There were actual stories they could have told, and instead they butchered history for inclusion. It was easy goddamn pickings.

2042 is such a beautiful example of modern game development: strip away the established formulas that made the game appealing, replace it with what's perceived to be trendy.
Then release with a fraction of content prior to the previous release, with the attached promise of a return to form at some nebulous date in the future.
They artificially create the problems, that they promise to sell you the solutions too, in piecemeal.
Expect to see exactly this more and more as 21 Kiloton said "This is the play now"
Works for the government.
Hegelian dialectic on a smaller scale except nobody gives a sh*t.
And then in a year or so from now cancel all future development and fixes and put the game in the box where it belongs. Like EA has done with previous games like Anthem and Mass Effect.
@@Someguy6571 Battlefield hard-line is another example, bought the premium pass and they only ever released two expansions of the 4

Haven’t played a Battlefield game after BF1, and from the looks of it, I made the right choice.
I heard BF2 had some interesting mechanics. Mechanics that they immediately removed in BF3.
Remember when Battlefield was about delivering authentic combined arms multiplayer warfare? Good times.
It hasn't been that since BF2 - you heard him, "Battlefield" is presumably all about the "infantry experience," according to modern gamers.
Vehicles are just a throwaway nuisance that makes their infantry-based game more annoying to play...
I miss good 'ol tactical BF2. Everything got casual because of Bad Company.
Best Singleplayer is still Bad Company 2 to me.
@@rotank638 Yeah, I remember randomly finding the "MordorHQ" forums way back when, they took that name for themselves because the DEVELOPERS THEMSELVES called them that just because they had some perfectly reasonable criticisms of Battlefield 3. Even back then, the devs were treating their biggest fans like trash, this has been going on a looooong time.
Some of the things they cut from BF2 sounded pretty interesting, somebody should make a spiritual sequel and see if people like it.
@@MLPDethDealr32 I agree with you on that. Battlefield found its niche with the humor and crazy action. Then they tried to be super serious with BF3 which had a bland story. Well, they did innovate by removing features because no one would ever think to go down that road. This is essentially breaking new grounds!
So innovative they're innovating in reverse! Next up they'll release games on cartridges... with NFTs, because it's an exciting new storage media that no one has ever seen before.
They say "the launch was disappointing" in a way which suggests that was all the players fault, and they should DO BETTER.
That's nothing new, and I'm actually surprised it took BF so many years to go to shit 100%. What you should focus on, is that interview with Wilson around 13:30... what he was talking there, didn't have a name yet. Today, we know it as Metaverse. That's right, corporations will monetize the leaving shit out of everything. Buy a Ford to get extra boosters in your favorite racing game, drink more of this or that drink to gain extra loot drops in your hack and slash game, resub some streaming prime shit to get 10% more damage for your troops in your favorite strategy game... Battlefield 5 was a sign of things to come. Sucks to see this series slaughtered.
At least we still have BC2, BF3, and BF4 servers up. But watch EA take those down to "make room" for 2042 servers that won't be populated anyway.

I’m old enough to remember when video games were tough as nails and you would throw controllers in rage and you felt like the best gamer in the world because you finally got past that level in Battletoads (you know the one I’m talking about). I’m old enough to remember the heated arguments between Genesis Vs. SNES and Street Fighter Vs Mortal Kombat. I’m old enough to remember the leap from 2D to full 3D. Games back then were made by people that, yes, wanted to get paid, it also wanted to make a fun game. I didn’t think twice about putting up $60 on release day because most of the time it was money well spent. Now I’m usually waiting a year or more to buy (if I even purchase) between waiting on reviews and the inevitable patches and DLC. Gaming has replaced Hollywood; that’s not a compliment

Thats because the leeches in hollywood moved from the movie industry into the gaming industry when they saw how much $$$ fortnite made
Street fighter vs Mortal Kombat. That brings back some memories.
"Software as a Service" is the smelliest pile of shit that tech businesses have ever produced. Even worse than DRM, if you ask me, because you don't even own the product. You own a temporary access pass, which can be revoked at any time, to use software partially located on your computer and partially located on 'the cloud' (someone else's computers). No special pass? No software for you. You know why EA changed the original plan for dead space 3? The director said EA thought it was too sensitive of a topic, to dive deeper into mental health. Even though that’s one of the pillars of the series.
Sad we never got to see that vision, even dead space 4 sounded great
Which is a crying shame, because the best parts of the game are the co-op sections dealing with Carver's spiraling insanity, and the DLC about the necromorph cult. Any decent horror will have some psychological element at play.

I played New World for a bit but that was a mess and then after looking at how many people play Final Fantasy 14 even after it's launch blunder, gave it a shot and got hooked once it was up for sale again. There is still Reclamation
@@MichaelQuantum that hardly means anything... reclamation servers are usually next to dead meaning there's very little to no players left, and this game shines bright when the server has full player capacity. there's no engagement or stakes when you're playing 4vs4 on a titan game. when this game can't consistently get near 64p player counts, Titan mode, the best part of the game, is simply not worth playing.
@@Beef3D Alrighty then. Keep complaining while being part of the problem.
how does this make me part of the problem? the problem is that so many people have understandably moved on from this game because EA shut down service for this game which makes this game essentially abandonware.
when I tried to entice a bunch of my friends to play it years ago when it still was the revive client, most of them would struggle and not long after quit playing. the netcode was so abysmal that macrostutters and rubberbanding were a near certainty every 5 minutes. the real problem is that this game is no longer being promoted or maintained and certainly neither you nor I can count on Dice or any other EA owned dev/subsidiary to fix it, if any of the last 3 battlefield titles are any indication of "quality". if I was a developer capable of coding, I would've already been busy making my own offbrand BF2142 years ago, but alas I'm not a programmer. I'm a visual artist.
Minor correction: BFV had the woman with the prosthetic in the trailer. BF1 did have some issues regarding over-representaion, but it's still a genuinely good game with heart and soul.
In BF1, you could see that DICE wanted to represent everyone who fought in the war. It led to slight over-representation because, instead of allowing customization on the order of (for instance) allowing the player to choose to play as specifics corps, divisions or forces within the represented faction (or randomizing it even), classes had to represent the various colonial troops. While it did irk me slightly at the time, I've come to accept and appreciate it. Those men deserve to be remembered, all of them... Even if seeing German colonial troops at Paschendale is slightly dissonant.
But the most important thing in BF1 is that it respects the men who fell. The opening section of the campaign, where you end up seeing a man of the Harlem Hellfighters in the cutscene, is both goddamn epic and sobering. Every time you fall, you see a name and a lifespan ending in 1918. The stories of the campaign focus on both the heroics and the horrors of the war. The narration of the Operations is clear about the objectives and results of the campaigns, as well as the tremendous cost in lives.
BF1 had a soul and heart born of the still lingering scars of the Great War. No one would dare disrespect the men of the Lost Generation.
@@VindicAlpha Exsctly
Sadly BFV had the exact same opportunity to do the same in a WW2 game, but didnt.
If we had real factions in place with slight accurate uniform customisation like helmet camo or tunic model, wed have been able to see women in the right factions to represent them properly. Such as the women soldier's of the Titos Yugo partisans.
It would too make for a great eastern front map thats not only different, as its not yet another germen vs ussr simulator, but it would also show that women did fight, they even got given british battledress, so women on the eastern front fighting in british uniforms and they decided not to do something as interesting as that
@@batman6621 Personally, what I regret most about BF1 is that the dev cycle got cut short before we could see the Belgian, Serbian, Romanian, Greek, and Bulgarian forces. Hell, we could even have had additional Urban maps/Operations in East Asia, with the Japanese campaigns to seize the German Legations, allowing entirely new aesthetics and showing the global scale of the War.
There was still a lot of WW1 to be explored and shown, but thanks to EA we'll never see it. BF1 was a rare occasion to put AAA resources into showing WW1 to generations that will never know the survivors of it.
I'm... still slightly salty about the Belgian Army not even having cameo appearances, though. Especially since Passchendaele, aka the Third Battle of Ypres where the Belgian Army was involved, was added in Apocalypse.
@@VindicAlpha I wanted Bulgaria to be added so much, especially since have a bulgarian uniform. More urban maps with other countries wouldve been great.
I wish there was a permanent back to basics mode too. But reworked, so there are no pistols, as it spoils the close quarters aspect of ww1 and what b2bs should've been and also be given the option to use any infantry bolt action. Id kill to have this added alongside ottoman mausers, gewher 1888, lee metford, k98aZ, etc
Belgium should've been added to apocalypse. Id have not really cared if they were just the french models but greeny brown
Agree . Bf1 is the last enjoyable and real battlefield of the whole series. really feels like war. I am playing it until this day.
I can't even run this game smoothly with a i7 7700k, 32GB ram, and GTX 1080.
Notice a trend? When DICE sold their soul to EA the games went on a decline. BC2 and BF3 avoided much of that I would imagine because it wasn’t too long after EA bought them. They still had devs and project managers and creative leads that cared about gaming. But once they went corporate, the kids with MBAs start running the games, the kids with “literature” degrees start controlling the story and setting and even tone of the games. All of this leads to the devs with talent or veteran knowledge leaving for their own studios or smaller projects. So then you have even dev teams that don’t know wtf they are doing. And it could be a decade of them honing their skills before they do. And then THEY leave too. This is the AAA cycle and it always leads to ruining good studios.
And I say all this even though BF4 is my most played battlefield ever. And battlefield V has my favorite infantry mechanics in the series. And BF1 nailed its setting better than any other game.
These newer games can still have value, and even be fun. I’m just saying what I see as a trend that is degrading popular games as a whole. The process started long ago and we are just now seeing the early effects.
The fuck are you talking about? EA bought controlling majority ownership of DICE in January 2005, literally two games in the entire franchise were developed without EA as publisher, and one of them (1942) was already halfway through development by Refractor Games when they were acquired by DICE. So that leaves literally one game - Battlefield Vietnam - that solely DICE developed with no input from EA whatsoever, and it happens to be one of the least talked about and most niche titles in the franchise's history.
Every single top selling and rated BF title in existence was developed under EA after DICE had "sold their soul to them". BC2 and BF3 came out years after EA straight up bought total control of the company and made it entirely their own and well after EA had already shut down DICEs office in Canada.
There is no trend. People went crazy for BF2, the community thought 2142 was mediocre, they shit on Bad Company for being a scaled back console affair, then loved the shit out of BC2 and BF3, they shit on BF4 cause it was a dumpster fire and now love it after years of fixes and additions, they hyped the shit out of BF1 and it became the second best selling BF title ever, they took a huge shit on BF5 because it had the option to be female and now praise the game after years of additions and fixes because 2042 is out now and everyone absolutely hates it.
Where is the trend there? It's literally ups and downs like every other long running franchise.
@@RPMguitar92 1942, BF2, and 2142 were the titles DICE had control over. They did not outright own them until 06. Hence why I see the cutoff as 2142.
Bf4 and Bf1 are masterpiece shooters too, it's bf5 that flopped hard
People who haven't ever even played battlefield franchise are just dunking in to bash it
Technically battlefield has been on the decline since Battlefield 3 when the developers decided it was important to change the medic from being a white man to a black man. When they started going down that path and worrying about stupid shit like that is when the franchise started to die.
There was one thing that i really loved in BFV... The last tiger, to see the curage of the german soldiers and that they had a tough life aswell was amazing.
You only see germans as the evil dudes. I think german soldiers werent evil most of them was orderd to do bad things..
just as i think there were evil allied soldiers so it was nice to see the germans as humans.
The last tiger are and will be the best fps campaign story line i ever played.
The reason why they don't like to let us play as the Germans is that they fear we will sympathize with them. Once we sympathize with them, we can start to empathize. Then we may start to look at the war from their perspective, then their reasons for it. Eventually this may lead to solidarity.
@@JCDentonCZ Oh you mean like the US and A blew up women and children at Heroshima and Nagasaki with atomic bombs?
And still US and A's are seen as heroes?
I wonder what the soldiers had in their head when they dropped those 2 bombs...
And then suddenly its easy to get in to the mind of the german soldier, he just followed orders from an evil man just like the Murican did.
@@JCDentonCZ honestly the Germans shoulda won
@@MikeAndersson The US are seen as the heros for the bombings because it more or less saved way more lives from both sides. You should look up what the Japanese had planned for us if we did a land invasion. Every country in the war did horrific things and focusing on just one thing is pretty unfair. The Japanese weren't saints at all, look up what they did to the Koreans and especially the Chinese in Nyang-jin (probably spelled that wrong).

It would be nice if gaming companies did this crazy thing called "making a good game" instead of focusing on NFTs. Or inventing whatever new way there is to milk gamers for more cash.
They try so hard to make more money at any cost that the effort would be admirable if the outcome wasn't so disgusting
They have more than enough money than they'll ever need, and probably a few generations of their family line if not more, but they still try to rip off everyone. No matter how much money they have it is never enough.
The jerk offs in "AAA" gaming need to focus more on making good games. Or indie companies need to step up. And gamers need to stop being such normies by getting tricked by these disgusting corporate pigs.
MAKE A GOOD GAME!? Sir! That is pure madness!
Do you guys only play AAA games? Do you know what an indie game is?
Me and my friends have been moving away from the AAA scene
Now we either bang each other's wives in CK or politely 'remake' their important planets in Stellaris
@@TaddiestMason Is that those PT games that loop around and around and around like you're on a spectrum?
Am I the only one who always shouts 'Its a Gundaaaaam' along with the intro, everytime?
I always find it funny that whenever someone brings up 2042 in 4 we all call it shit, move on, and pretend it never exists.
I'm over here just playing the Halo collection on Legendary and having a blast.
EA really made its player base a bunch of paypigs. Imagine paying for a BF that doesn't have mod support. 😂
Ok old man we get it you were there from the beginning.
@@BIGGIN88TWO it is not a matter of being there from the beginning, it is a matter of you guys paying for games that offer substantially less than previous installments. You have MANY new games that support mods (e.g. Stellaris, Starsector, Ravenfield). Even Stellaris is able to offer DLC while providing excellent mod support. I haven't played BF1942, BF2 or BF2142 in years but I'm aware that they offered way more than what these new games offer.
I mean mod support isn't that big of a deal for your average Joe who plays on weekends, if the actual base game is good it's worth buying
Battlefield 1 doesn't have mod support but it's a sucess because it's a darn good/fun game
Battlefield 2042 on the other hand is rotting in clogged gutters
@@damn6039 battlefield wouldnt exist if it wasnt for mods. battlefield vietnam and battlefield 2 were literally mods of battlefield 1942 where dice hired the creators of the mods to make ne games.
@@deaddevil7 The downside being how many Stellaris DLCs there are and don't come in a bundle which makes it expensive to complete. On the other hand the base game holds up all on its own, making the DLC feel more like an Expansion Pack, plus not forcing other players to buy DLC when it comes to playing multiplayer with friends; It shares DLC with the connected person
Battlefield 1 was actually a amazing, still has better graphics and immersion then later titles
I'm sad to say this was the first game in years that I bought day one... I hadn't played a BF game since BF1 and was sick of the hacking in COD, so I gave in. I will say that I played enough for it to be worth it. I still had some fun and it took a while for me to get sick of the bullshit that never got fixed... I was clinging to hope that they'd fix it quickly, but literally the day after deleting it I forgot it even existed.
I remember the first time i played Battlefield 1 i was high af with my bro and we were defending , it was an amazing experience i heard the sniper bullets wiss by me and explosions everywhere it was bad ass it felt like i was in a WW1 battle . i remember telling my bro imagine how epic the next battlefield games will be 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑 the Woke and SJWs ruined Battlefield and COD .
Dude me and my homie were in chat with volume so loud from the sound of bullets firing we could barely hear each other. I loved bf1. Probably my favorite in the series next to bf3 &4 which to me are tied.
@@LuchaGangsta lol bro same we were all into it yelling at eachother it was epic can't say i ever felt that again playing battlefield 5 , like it was fun at times but it did not feel like i was in WW2 and that's what i wanted it to feel like , you got women and guys dressed like tom cruise running around just takes away the little immersion the game had away . it's just disappointing that they could of made a great game especially with a game set in WW2 you could of had epic battles in Stalingrad or omaha beach or in Africa , and tons of weapons , we never even got to play as the Red Army or use their guns .
Bf1 was woke.
And a bit broken.
@@Gloryholrr it was woke, but it is soooo goood. My qualm is that you only play as a black sniper, which is my favorite class
The Ryan Johnson analogy is perfect it perplexed me that people still defend the sw sequels people that have been fans since the ot still defend it lmao the last decent star wars movie released by Disney was rouge one and that’s only because they didn’t wanna throw sw away with the first movie they put out.
I can just imagine people having 300 disgusting rotten eggs piled in their refrigerator just to get some stupid bonus in The Sims. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It always gets on my goat a little bit when i see people like Andrew Wilson - who should be assigned a social worker and be on a vulnerable persons register- earning millions for being fundamentally wrong about everything in life.
thats what happens when u rush a game knowing you can get away with post-launch patches. Our fault as gamers for allowing this precedent to go on for far too long
@MetalHead4ever too many times. The Division, Anthem, Assassin's Creed Unity, Cyberpunk 2077, No Man's Sky, Star Wars Battlefront 2. Heck even Battleground 4 was a buggy mess on launch and they had the audacity to do it again with battleground 2042. Glad I didn't buy it nor 2042 as, I was told that if I don't like their politics then don't buy it #notmybattlefield... LMAO
Gamers are basically junkies, they don't care if the needle is dirty, they need their fix. Gotta get that new 80 dollar title every month, especially if all your idiot friends are already getting it.
@@YM-pe2ul Hey, at least No Man's Sky had the resolve to fix itself. They didn't resort to calling players entitled or try to fake apologize their way out of what they screwed up.
@@theguylivinginyourwalls they should have released a good game in the first place. Not a buggy broken mess. How can you defend this? If you bought a new car and had to carry it into the shop every month or so for repairs and it finally ran good 2 years after that constant back and forth you would have been pissed or already sued for false advertising. But game companies get a pas?
@@YM-pe2ul I'm not defending the practice itself. I'm just pointing out what Hello Games did. They're an exception to the rule. At least in the sense that the way they handled it was better. Why are the major video games publishers the only businesses where their customers literally tell them exactly what they want and the only businesses who try as hard as possible to not deliver what their customers want? How have these businesses not gone bankrupt yet?

Just saying but the mission they made where the teen girl replaced the entire men, yeah those guys didnt even fire a single shot during the raid and killed no one.

EA to investors (after disappointing performance of BF2042) : Don’t be sad, this is just how it works out sometimes.
Out of curiosity, I checked that Reddit post talking about that Battlefield story..damn folks trying so hard to defend DICE's historical revision by...get this, bringing up Wolfenstein and Assasin's Creed..and going "LOL, it's a game, why mad?". Imagine defending that..
Correction: BF has been on a downward trajectory since BF3. BF1942, BF2 and BF2142 supported mods that added a lot of new things to the games. After those games, you lost all mod support. And you guys keep paying to be screwed with. You all deserve what you get.
Battlefield 1942 was such a great game
@@punishedbrak4255 you should try Ravenfield. It is just single player but the amount of customization you can have with mods is even bigger (imho) than BF1942 or BF2.
I agree, no modding is a huge sign that the community doesn't really matter anymore.
Everyone forgets that's BF4 was a damn dumpster fire when it released and took over a year to become good. Definitely not a high point, even for a game I absolutely love.

Yeah It'sAcondom... I remember the heavy water mission in Norway to possible deny nuclear weapons production for the Axis (Battlefield V)..
It was nine norwegian guys (well trained) that successfully sabotages it. But... in BFV it was only one woman (Solweig) and her mother that blows it.. Come on! Why are they call themself a historic game... Just add the real Norwegian war heroes in the story and the player can be the fiction character Solweig... The mission we have now just feels so fake, Rambo, disrespectful and unhistoric.
Bravo BF...
Working remotely has very little impact on a competent team. The company I work for is finalising the design for the Type 26 Frigate, we've been working from home for the better part of 18 months and we've achieved more in that time period than if we were commuting to the office every day. This EA lie is exacerbated by the fact they are supposed to be working in the software industry ergo team meetings etc should be a breeze. It's not so bad for weapon systems/electrical guys like us, where most of us have a background in computing, but for the structural and hydraulic guys they've usually got a more hands on background (tools) but they managed to overcome working remotely just fine.
It just goes to prove: you can't spell "A bunch of lying, greedy, intellectually defunct twats without the letters EA"
maybe because they developer mentality this day rather than spent time make ultra good quality game the care about crunching etc, look battlefield every fans and consumer want they game fixed before holiday so they can have fun with they product but guess what the lead developer it said fuck off and let "our overworked worker" to get they holiday rather than take responsibility and fix they shit
thats why japanese game have more decent quality than western game since they really used to shitty workplace and suck it up to make quality product and getting proud of it rather than screaming in twitter about how bad they work place at etc without make good quality product
Watching swaggersouls drive up the side of a skyscraper with a fucking hovercraft was probably the best thing to cone out of this shitshow.

God I miss the early 2000s when I didn’t need to wait for a game review or wait for a few weeks after a game to release to see the condition of how it plays. I’d be at midnight releases for Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Cod 4, Fable 2, Bioshock, L4D etc. Till this day my fondest memory of gaming. I also got to meet some awesome ppl.

I've come from the future the game is dead on pc without the crossplay players from PSN/Xbox. Game is so progressive that you still can't chat with the opposite team to avoid "toxicity"
These days in gaming, I'm glad I have my Super Nintendo, Genesis, PS1 and Saturn hooked up to a RetroTink5X. It's awesome putting in a game and knowing it's finished and polished. Modern gaming is almost dead to me at this point.
I can still remember sniping in destroyable trees being something never done before. Still even think of BC before these past 3 releases.
The proposed intergration of real life events into gaming is scary to me, old interview or not. I don't want anyone knowing what's in my fridge or how often my car is driven, let alone some hacks who can't make a playable video games! Microtransactions are bad enough without intigrating it into other areas of life. Not a fan of all games being connected to the internet at all times in order to function either cause I imagine data-caps are going to become more commonplace, especially if remote work becomes more the norm than 'in case of emergency' kind of deal. Then again I don't know a whole lot about techonology to begin with.
