It must be weird living in a world where you legitimately think there are WW2 Germans everywhere and people breaking into cars is no big deal I had my car broken into and I had nothing in it. Yet I still was pretty angry about it and felt a weird sense of violation that I have never felt before or since. The 500$ repair bill for the broken window didn't help either.
My wife had her car broken into at our old house in the middle of the night. It was a shitbox 2001 explorer worth maybe $500. They took some cards and a personal effects. We (she especially) felt so violated at that. She never felt safe there again, and they were entirely 'peaceful'. We had no idea it happened until the next morning but the violation was very real. Seth Rogen saying that it's 'part of living in a big city' and that it's no big deal is one of the most out of touch mindsets I've ever seen. LA and other major cities in California and elsewhere are absolute shitholes. Ever been to Portland? It's wild. He's completely out of touch with reality.

I had my car broken into and I had nothing in it. Yet I still was pretty angry about it and felt a weird sense of violation that I have never felt before or since. The 500$ repair bill for the broken window didn't help either.
My wife had her car broken into at our old house in the middle of the night. It was a shitbox 2001 explorer worth maybe $500. They took some cards and a personal effects. We (she especially) felt so violated at that. She never felt safe there again, and they were entirely 'peaceful'. We had no idea it happened until the next morning but the violation was very real.
