    Thank you super helpful. I had tried with a different app before and this solved all my problems

    Cheers! I couldn’t get mine to scan and was starting to think I got some defective ones. Good to know it was just me not knowing where the reader was!

    I like short tutorials with no BS quite a bit. If you could create a NFC tag that forces tasks without a launcher that would be great. Such as dialing phone numbers, uploading a list of emergency contacts(not your entire contact list), as well as possibly showing a low quality image of the person who owns the tag and their name. The reason for this is if you lose your phone and run into someone who does have a phone that can read NFC tags it would be great to just touch it and call your family or upload your emergency contacts to their contact list.

      that seems like a big security risk... Imagine if QR codes could just download and run apps without any user input apart from scanning it...

    can you write the information of a RFID card to the iphone?
    Thats because i want to open my building door but idk if i can "code" my iphone as a nfc key

    • @SeritagNFCTags
      @SeritagNFCTags  ปีที่แล้ว

      Almost certainly no. Building door cards are either not NFC at all or if they are, they use a more secure system. It's highly unlikely that a door entry system would just the open user memory section of an NFC tag.

      What URL do you want to store onto the NFC Tag ? For example, your business/personal website, Facebook/Twitter page or something else ?

    Hi. Is it possible to scan a nfc tag without an app? Like automatically scans and popup on top without any app? Thanks

    • @SeritagNFCTags
      @SeritagNFCTags  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure - if the NFC tag has been encoded with standard NDEF data - ie, someone has encoded a web link onto it with another App or a tag supplier like Seritag has encoded the tags.
      On Android phones, just hold the centre of the back over the tag. On iPhone X or later, just hold the top edge over the tag.
      Note that if the tag hasn't been encoded, then on iPhones, nothing will happen !

    • @qalandarov
      @qalandarov ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After encoding I still had the issue and found this: Make sure your device is unlocked, Airplane mode is disabled, you're not using Camera, Apple Wallet, or having an active NFC session

    is it possible to Write, NFC Card,
    NFC Card, and NFC TAG is same or not ??

    • @SeritagNFCTags
      @SeritagNFCTags  ปีที่แล้ว

      NFC cards and NFC tags work (generally) in exactly the same way. Clearly, the NFC _chip_ inside each may not be the same - but if it is, then there's not going to be any difference in the way you write/encode.

  • @secession77

    It won't work on my XS. I can encode the tag using the app on my iphone but it gets recognized only within that app or on Android phones. But mine iphone can't read it, there's no badge showing up at the top of the screen

    • @SeritagNFCTags
      @SeritagNFCTags  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are encoding a web link (URL) make sure that you aren't adding a title. Just add the link.

    Can I encode with one phone and read with other?

    • @SeritagNFCTags
      @SeritagNFCTags  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. if you encode a web link with an App on an Android phone then you can read on an iPhone for example. Apps use a standard encoding method laid out by the NFC Forum so all phones can understand the way the data is stored.

    • @ToYo1cu6b7

      @@SeritagNFCTags And to read, I don’t need application, right? Thank you very much

    • @SeritagNFCTags
      @SeritagNFCTags  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Provided you are encoding a URL/web link, then for the majority of phones (all Android, iPhone Xs, Xr, 11, 12 and iPhone 7,8 and X running iOS14) you don't need an App.

    Does this work with samsung

    • @SeritagNFCTags
      @SeritagNFCTags  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Samsung phones along with almost all Android phones have a built in NFC reader. Providing NFC is turned on in your setting you just need to hold your phone over the NFC tag. No Apps are required to read.

    • @SeritagNFCTags
      @SeritagNFCTags  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you encode a URL (web link) using the App, then it can be read/scanned by all NFC enabled mobile phones. The method of encoding is standard and all phones use the same standard.
