For 20 years I have struggled to find a lightweight moisturizer that doesn’t still break me out and finally this year I tried the bubble cloud surf moisturizer, and I am victorious finally… For years it was a struggle do I want to be dry or do I want to break out?
I really like peach slices products and you’ve convinced me to try the azaleic acid serum! Also, I like good molecules products. Their peptide serum is super hydrating and so inexpensive.
Now I need to know how or much of the copper peptides powder you add to the Ordinary’s. This was an exciting discovery!! Super curiosity now.Who knew?!?!!😮
Can I use green tea serum (example: Beauty of Joseon green tea serum) at night, or do antioxidant products only work during the day and not at night? Before using any retinol products, can I use a hydrating toner or serum? Does retinol efficiency decrease if I use it as a sandwich method? I am 23 and have dry skin. As a beginner on the retinol journey, which retinol products should I start using first? I am confused between Cosrx 0.1% retinol, Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum, and Adapalene Gel. Tnx.
Dr. Maxfield over on Docterly (the two male dermatologists here on TH-cam) says antioxidants can be used day or night, and he believes they might be even more affective at night as most antioxidants are degraded by sunlight. As for retinols, start low and slow. I’m 27, and I started with Paula’s Choice 0.3% retinol + 2% bakuchiol, and even that was intense for my skin to start, so I only used it once a week. Then after I stopped experiencing irritation I went up to twice a week, and so on. Now 6-8ish months later I’m using Differin adapolene 0.1% twice a week. But I use a soothing toner (Anura heart leaf or CosRX honey), CosRX snail mucin essence or Missha enriched essence, skin1004 pink peptide ampoule or iunik snail repair serum, and THEN apply the adapolene 0.1%. Many dermatologists actually recommend sandwiching your retinoid to minimize irritation, as irritation is NOT evidence of efficacy. The more frequently you can use your retinoid, the better your results will be, thus tolerating your retinoid is your primary goal, regardless of concentration. Definitely use a hydrating/soothing toner, and most Derms recommend to limit the use of other strong actives in the same routine (niacinamide, Azelaic acid, bakuchiol are usually good pairings, but not high percentage AHAs/BHAs or concentrated Ascorbic Acid serums), anything with ceramides will be your friend, and a good moisturizer with a decent amount of occlusivity will do wonders to hug in all the moisture and prevent overdrying. Personally I enjoy the Olehenriksen peptide moisturizer, or after I’ve applied any other moisturizer I’ll take a small amount of Vaseline in my hands and warm it up in my palms and fingers, and gently press the thin layer onto the outer perimeter of my face where I get most dry, working inward. I’d say start with the CosRX 0.1% cream, considering your dry skin, or even consider The Ordinary’s retinols in squalane, as those will provide a good buffer against overdrying. Hope this helps some :)
So the powder I bought is here: b.link/lbpd6fh3 It's convenient because you can mix it with most serums and lotions so I make a body lotion with it. A few nice mixing options is the Cos de Baha Hyaluronic Serum, it comes in a bit pump bottle and mixing the copper peptides and using it on my body seems to help firm skin up better than anything else I've tried. I also used the Necessaire Body Serum for this but the Cos de Baha is a bit more affordable.
Azelaic acid isn’t an exfoliating acid like AHAs/BHAs (e.g. glycolic/lactic or salicylic acid) so most can tolerate daily use, or even twice daily use. Of course listen to your skin, and decrease frequency if irritation occurs. Hope that helps :)
I don't get the hype of that Acure night cream. It's thick but doesn't feel emollient at all. My skin was flaky and peeling for weeks until I finally switched to a different moisturizer and within 24 hours my skin was back to normal
CeraVe PM stings my face. I wish they’d fix the issue. And I wish they were more transparent with their ingredient percentages. The Ordinary I like and use their copper peptide serum also but their customer service needs work. And they are very difficult to get manufacture date info from their lot codes. What are they trying to hide? I jst wanna easily know how long their product I use is good for and I can’t know that w/o the date of manufacture.
Did u see Hello Sunday's products are at Sephora now 😮 They are getting all kind of brands now . Also did u see the new Kate Summerville serum in that roll tue thing it looks good ingredients wise but damn pricey 95 freaking dollars . I swear prices just keep going up and up .
Also, my p&l glass skin serum smells like maple syrup now?? I went thru a mini and bought the full size, I’ve had it for about two months. Never had this w the mini. Anybody else experience this?? Doesn’t seem to effect the product just weird.
Ulta is my favorite too! I prefer it over Sephora
Amazon has the snail one in the tube! I bought it a few months ago on sale for like $15!

The Ordinary copper peptide went up to $32.00 when I got my bottle maybe 4 months ago it was $30
I think they are definitely raising their prices, seems like ever since Estee Lauder took over.

Love this video! I feel like because of you I can trust drugstore/cheaper skincare more.
I’m allergic to dust mites but have no issues at all with snail mucin.
I'm extremely allergic to dust mites, and I've been using snail mucin for years without any problems!
Your skin is so luminous.

Tnx a lot dear. Can you please share the video link where Doctorly suggests to use antioxidants at night?
Unfortunately links can’t be added in the comments section. TH-cam doesn’t allow it

Amazon has the tube of cosrx. It's GIANT!
I wanna know more about mixing the copper peptides

My skin does not like CeraVe PM. I think it is the high level of niacinamide that cause the stinging
You look so much like Kate Winslet.
Oh thank you so much!
