White wax did the trick! Very interested to learn that the initial ‘butte’ waxing was critical to the finish. I never knew that, so thanks for that important lesson!
We are always our worst critic. The wax at the end, was a game changer. These nightstands are absolutely beautiful. To me, It looks like a weathered distressed finish, which I love. This is my first time, at your channel. Unfortunately, now I have to binge watch.😉

I was thinking farmhouse, but you’re totally right! I can see them in a home with a nautical aesthetic! The white wash gives it a driftwood/coastal vibe.
Girl, you just kept going and the result is fantastic. AND… you’ve made ring pulls stylish again 😉 They remind me, as an equestrian, of the rings we tie our horses to. I have praised your work almost to the point of obsession LOL when I started watching this video and was listening to what you said about it not looking great almost not posting I just wasn't going to make a comment.. at the end of the video I thought they're okay and then I looked at them a little longer and thought I like them looked a little longer and thought way better than okay after about 5 minutes of looking again almost obsessively LOL I have to say I love them they grow on you and once they do they're awesome another great job 👍👍👍

That fact that wood comes through both colors is very interesting. I’m about ready to attempt the finish where you scrub the grain so the wash will soak in. But this may be an alternative. 😊

I have to admit I wasn't real crazy the piece was turning out until the reveal. WOW, I love it!!!! I can see these pieces in a lake home. I see them as a natural woodsy vibe. I'm not explaining myself well but I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say.

I am new here and I love, love, love your channel! My 18 year old son is turning our old pantry box into a desk for his room. This is such a great resource for him! My 15 year old daughter loves watching too. She had a funny comment, she took note of how you always show your finished product with the same clock. But I can see why, it gives the perfect staged look. This video was beautiful too, loved the final result. Thank you.
They look wonderful. What you do provides encouragement and inspiration to take things that normally would never have had a second life and make them fabulous. With the cost of furniture these days ,it's always good always good to repurpose.

I have to admit I wasn't real crazy the piece was turning out until the reveal. WOW, I love it!!!! I can see these pieces in a lake home. I see them as a natural woodsy vibe. I'm not explaining myself well but I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say.
Wood grain is HIGHLIGHTED!! I WOULD TOTALLY DO THIS!! When things don't go your way, but you change it up. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! 💯

Another winner! I do like how the grain shows through the paint and the wax is what did it! A happy accident and sophisticated farmhouse. Yea!! color is coming back!!

I think the best laid plans can absolutely turn into something amazing in the end…. I didn’t think I would like the white wax but it really brought out some texture! Great Project!
