I AM a wood worker by trade, and I have to give you a huge round of applause. You did a great job improvising to make the repairs that needed to be made, instead of trying to hide them. I see alot of people do things horribly wrong, and teach people that way. However, I caught myself saying "good job" out loud several times during your repairs. So pat yourself on the back. Backyard stuff sometimes is the only way lol. 👏👏👏
Agreed! I don’t care if people do things wrong, but I DO care when they make videos as “teachers” and then proceed to do everything wrong. It drives me insane! This was just outstanding!
I've been having such a rough time in my life lately and your videos feel like a safe, comforting place to hang out for a while. I love that you say "we", and that you have a favorite wood (walnut), and just your personality in general! You clearly love what you do and thoroughly enjoy the process (most of the time). Thank you for being such a comforting channel! 🥰
53 year old London carpenter here, found this video an absolute pleasure to watch, I could probably make it, but I know I don’t have the eye for the artistic details, a beautiful piece well done !
You know what I like about this video besides the beautiful outcome of the pieces you work on? It's your calm and cute narration. You seem like your having fun.
I've been binge watching your videos, and I just want to give you some feedback. I love how you do voiceover instead of talking real-time. It means you can speed up what are really slow and sometimes tedious processes, but still show exactly how you do them. I love that you explain your repairs, wether its a highly skilled one or a botch up one. That really helps with the learning process! I feel your videos are just the right length, you show everything that needs to be shown, without any boring filler content. You have a really good eye for how to bring out the most beautiful potential of a piece, and I love your taste. I am left feeling inspired, awed, and that I may have learned some valuable tips along the way. Thanks very much for sharing!
I have been an interior design for about 30 years and I have watched hundreds of these dresser flips I have to say this is the most beautiful flip I've seen this dresser is absolutely gorgeous and if I could find one I would flip it to look exactly as yours does 10 thumbs up
The pain is real when you don’t have the tools you want and need, I feel your pain and congrats on being resourceful. Your vision for this piece was perfect. It looks amazing.
Oh those handles...!! Thank you! When I purchase/obtain a piece, I will send the owner an update of their previous piece. One said that if they had not gotten rid of the piece due to it's sheer size, that they would have bought back the piece that they gave me for free. It was one of the best compliments I could have gotten, and I let them know I had actually donated it to a family in need.
I love the way you transform pieces that some would just "flip" with paint, where you have a wonderful way to notice the beauty in the wood itself so that we can see, appreciate and fall in love with real wood beauties! Thanks for your lovely transformations of precious wood.
Oh, He's so handsome! (see the eyes and mustache? lol) The color scheme makes him look like such a distinguished old gent now! How much time did this take to transform? Love, love love!!!
Every video I think, "oooo that's my favorite!" And then the next video comes. I am not fickle, just in awe of your talent. You are the furniture whisperer😊
You are a miracle worker! I could watch you repair and paint furniture all day long. Somehow I find it relaxing to see the process and I love the final product. This piece turned out better than it would have been brand new. I'm sure the people that tossed it out would be envious
Holy crocodile! (as my Mum would say) You sure brought this one back from the grave. Not only are your skills amazing, but your videos are great also :)
I love your videos and your work. You have a really nice way of explaining what you do and why, without too much talking. Keep making these, they're fabulous!
Greetings from Hobart, Tasmania. This turned out great. Just 2 quick tips. If you have a screw without a head, set your drill in reverse and clamp down the jaws of the chuck onto the screw and slowly turn it out - should come out no problem. The second tip for clamping long pieces (when you don't have long clamps) is to use ratchet straps (in your case cheap ones about 25mm wide) with scrap spacer blocks to protect edges. Looking forward to watching your other projects.
I love your “backyard shenanigans” quip haha. This is beautiful! I love how you can see the paint peek through between the stained drawers, nice touch 🤩
All your pieces are stunning transformations, but this is, I think, my favourite so far, a very special one. You are a true artist, and a wonderful rescuer. Thankyou for sharing with us.
I really enjoyed this one. The dresser doesn't look like "real" wood with the original finish. Soooooo love the contrast and original pulls - especially the large actual wood one on the bottom drawer. 😍👍
Good golly that looks amazing! I’m in CA, USA so when you previously discussed weather affecting drying time…couldn’t relate. Glad there was no effect this time. It’s perfect!!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!! I also appreciate you showing the repairs in greater detail. That’s my favorite part of restoring furniture. I am really looking forward to your future restorations.
Thank you! I try not to paint wood unless I have to for physical reasons or if it would be better aesthetically... but otherwise try to leave as much wood as possible. :-) Cheers!
Your work is so gorgeous! My favorite TH-cam furniture artist yet and I follow a lot of them! Keep up your awesome videos. You will keep growing so fast for sure❤️
Beautiful transformation. Keep videos just as they are. Plenty of information and you get straight into showing us the 'how to' which is great. Thank you 😊
Very nice transformation. I've been watching a lot of different furniture flippers, most of them barely know how to use a screwdriver and here you are using a circular saw, reglueing dovetails, and replacing parts of the furniture. You are leagues beyond your contemporaries. Keep it up! Love the content!
Okay when you start doing merchandise.... “Backyard Shenanigans” for sure!! I do lots of MCM dressers and can rarely resist sanding down the drawers from the original factory finish. Even though they are usually wood veneer, they come out beautifully. Loving your channel! Happy to be one of the first 1,000 subscribers. You will have many more in no time.
Just amazed at your crafty way to make an issue a challenge and comes through with an outcome that blows the mind. I am seriously impressed by your talent and strength.
I love how you took the ornamentation on the bottom drawer and made it look so good. It was invisible at first, and the contrast you added to it at the end makes it *so much* better.
I love your attention to detail. The extra steps of gluing and small repairs make a huge difference. It means this piece will be solid and sturdy for many many years to come.
I have been slowly - and unsystematically - working my way through your videos, because watching you make sad, tired, often broken furniture into things of beauty brings me peace and joy. This is another yowza piece, and I loved your reveal. I watched the whole process, but the reveal still surprised me! This tells me that you are not just good with furniture. You are *also* a damned fine videographer and story teller. Great work, and thank you again!
Such a cool cool piece! One of the things I've always loved about midcentury furniture is the great design in the hardware. I've done quite a few dressers from.that period and I rarely see a design repeated, and this has some of the most unique I've ever seen. Great work! I just discovered your channel and now my top 3 are Katie Scott, the DIY wife and now your channel. I'm sure I'll be up the rest of the night binge watching!
I’m not a fan of the mid-century modern furniture having grown up in the 50-60’s. The job you did was stunning. I frequent refinish furniture for my self or my family and have remodeled every house I have ever lived in so your use of power tools looked normal to me. Good job.
I really really like how this turned out. I just moved into a log cabin and my partner and I are renovating…I personally have done a lot of renovation during my lifetime, and yet I still see new ways of handling issues in diy videos and I love how you really go over your pieces and aren’t afraid to fix them up and replace pieces with bits from other furniture. Great job upcycling !
I have been back to watch this video over 8X just to learn your tid bits of useful knowledge in regards to how wood behaves during the different stages of preparation for different applications and can't thank you enough for clearly guiding us through the process you seem to have such good handle on. I mostly paint but really want to do more staining to mix it up and have a wider client appeal. You're my absolute Fave. Much love as always from New Orleans
I wouldn't have thought in a million years that piece would turn out so amazingly beautiful! Love the hardware and the drawer pulls, especially the bottom drawer - wow! Your attention to detail in repairs and finishes is awesome, great work!
You are absolutely delightful. This is the thing, I don’t even refinish furniture. I love to watch you and I learn something new at every video. You are very entertaining!
This one turned out amazing. The ONLY thing I think might look really cool is if you did the natural wood for the rounded blocks on the bottom drawer. Either way, great job!
I found you today on TH-cam as I love old things getting new lives again, the dresser looks absolutely beautiful and you are showing me/us that you do not need fancy tools to create something beautiful, well done and 😊 thank you, sunny greetings from NZ
wow! you do great work, i've watched all of your videos! you should reach out to "furniture flipping teacher" and do a collaboration to get your name out there! good luck and keep on going! xxoo meg
I usually don’t like painted wood, but your wonderful talent and eye continue to amaze me. The birch wood “is what this Mid-Century” gal called the color ‘Blonde wood’. Thank you for revitalizing the pieces.
Angie, a STELLAR finish! And yes, probably many painters would agree with you to just get the product ON, then lay it off lightly smoothly in one direction of the grain, catching your edges for rollover after. It's beautiful! I LOVE EVERYTHING! I LOVE THE LEGS! HARDWARE! COLOR! PAINT! STAIN! Great job as usual!!
Your channel is one of the main channels that I watch. I'm disabled and I watch a LOT of TH-cam videos. Since I recently found your channel your videos are new to me and I really enjoy them. I don't have a real "workspace" but I've learned a few tricks from watching. I have two, possibly three projects and, living on a remote island in Southeast Alaska I have to get supplies on Amazon and eBay. After I refinish what I currently have I plan to pick up further projects from the local buy/sell/trade page. I'm glad your channel is successful!
I just wanna say (and I am so sorry for all of the comments from me tonight) that I have been watching your videos for a couple of weeks now and I’m binging your channel tonight. Your videos are an absolute joy to watch. This stuff is in my wheelhouse and you just seem like such a genuinely wonderful person.

Ahh! That made my day! Thank you so much for taking the time for that- made me smile :-)
Agreed! I don’t care if people do things wrong, but I DO care when they make videos as “teachers” and then proceed to do everything wrong. It drives me insane! This was just outstanding!
Maxes, I agree. That she does such a skilled and fantastic job for such (what I would call) trash, is amazing.
Glad I could help you decompress a bit. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you feel better. ❤️
Seconded. This is my favorite channel for soothing educational downtime, plus it got me into furniture repair 😊
53 year old London carpenter here, found this video an absolute pleasure to watch, I could probably make it, but I know I don’t have the eye for the artistic details, a beautiful piece well done !
Angie, there are furniture restorers, then there's you! You're the gold standard!
You know what I like about this video besides the beautiful outcome of the pieces you work on? It's your calm and cute narration. You seem like your having fun.
You've become my new Favourite Flipper. For a beginner your take in design and color is amazing. You have an eye for subtleties. A real gift!!!
Wow, thank you!
I've been binge watching your videos, and I just want to give you some feedback. I love how you do voiceover instead of talking real-time. I generally prefer a different style of furniture, but would gladly display this!
I love how you don't just give a piece a cosmetic fix but really dive in and fix all of it's issues. So impressive.
I have been an interior design for about 30 years and I have watched hundreds of these dresser flips I have to say this is the most beautiful flip I've seen this dresser is absolutely gorgeous and if I could find one I would flip it to look exactly as yours does 10 thumbs up
Same here. One of the most professional and stylish furniture flips.
The pain is real when you don’t have the tools you want and need, I feel your pain and congrats on being resourceful. Your vision for this piece was perfect. It looks amazing.
You shouldn’t apologize for being resourceful! You are a very talented person. Thanks for sharing
That was incredible!! And saving our planet, one drawer at a time. I'm so impressed.
Everything you make over is exquisite in the end.
Oh, He's so handsome! (see the eyes and mustache? lol) The color scheme makes him look like such a distinguished old gent now! How much time did this take to transform? Love, love love!!!
That's what I thought, too, at the end of the video! The transformation was amazing!
The mustache jumped out at the end for me too!
😂😂😂
Right? When the final result pop up i was like Oh, hello there, sir! 🥸
Yes. A handsome and distinguished gentleman. ❤
Every video I think, "oooo that's my favorite!" And then the next video comes. I am not fickle, just in awe of your talent. You are the furniture whisperer😊
I appreciate that very much! 😀
You are a miracle worker! I could watch you repair and paint furniture all day long. Somehow I find it relaxing to see the process and I love the final product. This piece turned out better than it would have been brand new. I'm sure the people that tossed it out would be envious
Deadly envious. 👍
I agree….I have wasted hours absorbed by her videos….(I don’t think it’s wasted time…my husband disagrees!!!) 🙌🙌
The black handles against the golden wood. Chef's kiss. Perfect.
Who knew this piece could go from the really sad before to such a fab after.
That is simply fabulous ☘️
Holy crocodile! (as my Mum would say) You sure brought this one back from the grave. Not only are your skills amazing, but your videos are great also :)
Oh My....look out guys this gals got some talent....taking this from the Kerbside to designer!!! Love the finished product.
I love your videos and your work. You have a really nice way of explaining what you do and why, without too much talking. Keep making these, they're fabulous!
I 100% agree .
Ditto!!!
Yes your videos are great. Don't change a thing!
You say "we" because you appreciate the help you get from Nacho and co.
That is the best piece of restored furniture I have seen in a long while 😀. What a great video 😁
I agree. Beautiful job
You should see where else Angie can do!
No need to apologize for your wonderful modern day “MacGyver” techniques 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎👌
Really nice. I love the handle on the bottom drawer. Painting the drawer really makes the handle show it's beauty
your patience fixing it certainly paid off - it turned out stunning!
"I'm not a wood worker." One begs to differ as you seem to be doing the damn thing!
Love this. You did a great job.
Angie was probably kidding ... right? 😉
Agree!
Yep you are a wood worker. I want some skills!
If you have more than 2 clamps, wood glue and sand paper you are a wood worker hahaha.
Lovely! What a change! A dated plastic-looking piece turns into timeless beauty!
Many thanks! 😊
Greetings from Hobart, Tasmania. This turned out great. Just 2 quick tips. If you have a screw without a head, set your drill in reverse and clamp down the jaws of the chuck onto the screw and slowly turn it out - should come out no problem. Wow thats a good tip. Thank you.
What an improvement. You've given that ugly dresser a whole new life. Amazing!
You're so welcome! I'm so glad you like it!
I love seeing mid-century furniture brought back to life and you really pulled this one back from the brink of death. Great job; she's a beauty!
I really enjoyed this one. The dresser doesn't look like "real" wood with the original finish. Soooooo love the contrast and original pulls - especially the large actual wood one on the bottom drawer. 😍👍
I really enjoyed the voice over. I appreciate your sense of humor. It's endearing. New subbie here.
same!😊
Welcome 🤗
Necessity is the mother of invention... and you've done spectacularly. It's a testament to your talent .
Many thanks! 😊
No one would know how bad this piece started out & in need of love. It's amazing 😍🇨🇱
You are the "Furniture Whisperer"!
You bring out the best of everything you touch!
I love this piece!
Glad you like it! Thanks so much for watching!
Clever transformation, most people couldn't see past the ugly and damaged to the good bones. You won me! Greetings from Australia.
The dresser turned into such a dapper mustached gentleman!!
Thank you very much! 😀
Who would have ever known what this piece look like before. Wow, what a transformation. Your good!
Thank you. I love how you often let the wood grain show instead of painting it. It's so pretty.
I LOVE THIS WOOD GRAIN! The handles on the bottom drawer and the new legs are perfect.
Thank you so much! 😊
Beautiful transformation. Keep videos just as they are. Plenty of information and you get straight into showing us the 'how to' which is great. Thank you 😊
I can’t believe you were able to take what you started with and turn it into that. Incredible
Thank you so much! 😊
Very nice transformation. I've been watching a lot of different furniture flippers, most of them barely know how to use a screwdriver and here you are using a circular saw, reglueing dovetails, and replacing parts of the furniture. You are leagues beyond your contemporaries. Keep it up! Love the content!
I’m always astounded seeing the before and after. The worst wood is better than the best plastic any day! Loving that matte black on the hardware!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Hahah I love it! Backyard Shenanigans for sure lol
This is probably the third time I’ve watched this video and as always , so impressed. Thank you Angie!
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching!
Just amazed at your crafty way to make an issue a challenge and comes through with an outcome that blows the mind. I am seriously impressed by your talent and strength.
Another beautiful transformation. Thanks for showing us again that we can transform the pieces we find interesting into beautiful gems.
Gorgeous transformation. You have incredible vision. I love how you talk us through the project!
I love how you took the ornamentation on the bottom drawer and made it look so good. It was invisible at first, and the contrast you added to it at the end makes it *so much* better.
Thanks so much for watching!
Stunning, amazing job 👏👏
I love your attention to detail. The extra steps of gluing and small repairs make a huge difference. It means this piece will be solid and sturdy for many many years to come.
Wow! What a transformation. I wouldn’t have normally even have considered the possibilities for this piece. Congratulations!
I have been slowly - and unsystematically - working my way through your videos, because watching you make sad, tired, often broken furniture into things of beauty brings me peace and joy. Really very inspiring. I'll never look at an abandoned roadside soul the same way again. Great job!
Wow, that’s stunning. And I notice many individual TH-cam’s often say “we”, “our”...
Wow wow You really have talent it is beautiful
Wowzer! You have a gift for transforming one person's junk into another another person's treasure. Very nice piece...
I’m not a fan of the mid-century modern furniture having grown up in the 50-60’s. The job you did was stunning. I frequent refinish furniture for my self or my family and have remodeled every house I have ever lived in so your use of power tools looked normal to me. Good job.
I am not an MCM fan either - but I love this piece.
I love that you only paint when absolutely necessary! What an improvement! Love the “jewelry!”
Thanks so much for watching!
You are awesome! You’ve been with me pretty much from the beginning- I so appreciate you!
I wouldn't have thought in a million years that piece would turn out so amazingly beautiful! Love the hardware and the drawer pulls, especially the bottom drawer - wow! Your attention to detail in repairs and finishes is awesome, great work!
I like the way you improvise. A woman after my own heart. Great job!
I'll be looking at those plastic looking pieces in a whole new way from now on.
You are absolutely delightful. This is the thing, I don’t even refinish furniture. I love to watch you and I learn something new at every video. You are very entertaining!
Wow, thank you!
This one turned out amazing. The ONLY thing I think might look really cool is if you did the natural wood for the rounded blocks on the bottom drawer. Either way, great job!
That wood look awesome but I agree its amazing work!!
You are do right, great eye :)
Angie, you've done it again - rocked my world. I just adore your craftsmanship. You go girl.
👍👌👌👏👏👏
Thank you very much! 🙂
I found you today on TH-cam as I love old things getting new lives again, the dresser looks absolutely beautiful and you are showing me/us that you do not need fancy tools to create something beautiful, well done and 😊 thank you, sunny greetings from NZ
Can you imagine!!! Stunning. Really takes a rich imagination to have had hope for that original piece. You nailed it!
Thank you very much!
wow! you do great work, i've watched all of your videos! you should reach out to "furniture flipping teacher" and do a collaboration to get your name out there! good luck and keep on going! xxoo meg
One of the most informative, non-boring videos. Great job.
That’s insane how different it looks you’re so talented x also the front looks like a little face lol xx
Oh my goodness! Another unimagined finish. Stunning!
Thank you very much! 😀
I usually don’t like painted wood, but your wonderful talent and eye continue to amaze me. The birch wood “is what this Mid-Century” gal called the color ‘Blonde wood’. Thank you for revitalizing the pieces.
You're very welcome!
Wow !! What did i just watch ?! Some kind of furniture sorcery ?! You are a magician 😍😍😍😍
Thanks for saying "we"! I can no longer do this kind of work and it is so satisfying to watch.
Absolutely gorgeous. Would like to see more before and especially after views at the end.
Thank you Debra!!
Thank you so much Ruby! I'm thrilled you're enjoying my channel! 😊 Welcome!!
I believe you are slowly becoming my favorite flipper.
Wow your like a miracle worker , how you bring the life back into your projects is just INCREDIBLY CLEVER and TALENTED!!!
Comment away! 😊Thanks so much for watching and I'm so glad you're enjoying my content!
OH, WOW! now you've got me binge-watching all your vids!
Gorgeous piece! Never would of envisioned such a beautifully unique piece was possible with that original ratty tatty dresser.
That paint color is incredible. The transformation is mind blowing.
"Watch how strong I am, look at that. Here I go again, ready?" And that was when I subscribed!
That’s not fair. You’re the best!!! Ha. Beautiful beautiful job. Your design skills are immaculate! Amazing.
Wow! Thank you! 😊
Talk about a Cinderella piece. Well done my friend it’s unrecognizable! ❤
Вы просто МАСТЕР.
ИДЕАЛЬНЫЕ РАБОТЫ.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
